That's probably true, given that wolves are usually more "into" the game than vanilla villagers, and roled villagers usually try to keep a low profile.

That said, I know some view more information as a good thing (including myself), so it's just what they do. For instance, I have already asked Abe 2 or 3 questions.

My point is, it's something to consider, but certainly not an end all, be all. My actual suspicion of J23 barely rates higher than a pebble of guilt on a flat landscape of innocence. But in a land without mountains, the pebble is the mountain. ;)

This makes me think we are going to have more than 1 cunning.

I think is a % chance of a wolf coming up villager as opposed to a specific role.

Unvote Danny

Vote EF

No traction on the Danny vote plus Danny appears to have shown up and is acting like Danny.

Eaglefan was a close second for his cunning comment in a game where I think there are multiple cunnings. On day 1 I expect the wolves the let the action play out and not put themselves in the limelight. It is a pretty solid play actually since most of the time D1 votes turn out to be good guys and the next few days revolve around who pushed for the good guy vote. Danny is a guy who really hasn't pushed anything out there today and that is out of the ordinary for him.

I wasn't home :)

EagleFan 03-22-2010 05:52 PM

As of 198:

EagleFan 3 - J23 (129), Telle (170), hoopsguy (189)
ntndeacon 3 - EagleFan (131), The Jackal (151), PurdueBrad (191)
J23 2 - ntndeacon (184), Chief Rum (198)
Telle 2 - CrimsonFox (185), henry296 (197)
PurdueBrad 1 - Poli (93)
Autumn 1 - Darth Vilus (178)
Danny 1 - dubb93 (183)

Danny 03-22-2010 05:55 PM

Not sure where I am going at this point. I think at the least we need to narrow this down to EF, NTN, J23 and Telle, if not potentially down to 3 candidates at some point.

EagleFan 03-22-2010 05:55 PM

As of 206:

EagleFan 5 - J23 (129), Telle (170), hoopsguy (189), BarKeep49 (201), dubb93 (205)

J23 2 - ntndeacon (184), Chief Rum (198)
Telle 2 - CrimsonFox (185), henry296 (197)
PurdueBrad 1 - Poli (93)
Autumn 1 - Darth Vilus (178)

Interesting run on a villager.

Tempted....

VERY TEMPTED...

No EF, martyring yourself for yourself will not work :D

Chief Rum 03-22-2010 06:03 PM

I'm out until after deadline. I have left a PM with Abe to pass my item to someone I think will put it to better use.

Raiders Army 03-22-2010 06:13 PM

Checking in for the first time. I'm on page 2 of the thread.

Thomkal 03-22-2010 06:14 PM

well since there's not much to go on with a typical day 1, we need a close vote to get things going on day 2. So nothing against you here ntn, just that you are in second place at the moment.

vote ntndeacon

Raiders Army 03-22-2010 06:24 PM

After reading through the thread, I'll push the issue on EF.

sigh...i knew someone was gonna do that

Raiders Army 03-22-2010 06:45 PM

So you guys know, I can't access FOFC at work, and in the mornings I'm pretty busy prior to going to work (running, dropping a deuce, etc.), so I'll be here mostly after work.

So do many others apparantly.

CrimsonFox 03-22-2010 06:48 PM

I actually thought you were making fun of me/taunting me by posting the tally again :)

EagleFan 03-22-2010 06:50 PM

I'll lay my cards on the table as I feel like being a prick. :)

My item may let me take someone out and it works when I put the order in. I am thinking that one of "my voters" isn't going to see day two either.

The above is merely me thinking out loud.

lol, nope, didn't see that you had posted the same time that I did. I had just noticed that I accidentally listed ntn instead of Thom on a vote.

Thomkal 03-22-2010 06:55 PM

That's my power EagleFan-my vote shows up as ntndeacon in any vote count. ;)

Sweet power. :)

EagleFan 03-22-2010 07:05 PM

Not feeling well tonight so I am going to step away for a while.

Autumn 03-22-2010 07:19 PM

Catching back up. I'm not sure which way I'll go - I see some truth in the idea that votes started scattering once EF/NTN were the options. But I also feel like these guys have been getting early votes a lot and I hate for the race to turn two-way too soon if these are two villagers.

Give your item a name. I'm curious what it's named that you are sure of what it does. If I weren't already voting for you, I would be now.

Autumn 03-22-2010 07:31 PM

I guess I'm more worried about a 3-way vote making it easier for the wolves to hide their vote. I'll concentrate instead on keeping this vote close so we can make everyone cast an important vote.

VOTE NTNDEACON

Lathum 03-22-2010 07:33 PM

Vote NTNDeacon

lets see what happens

CrimsonFox 03-22-2010 07:33 PM

As Abe said, PMs about items can have total descriptions of what they do and how they are used, but some do not.

CrimsonFox 03-22-2010 07:35 PM

As of 234:

EagleFan 6 - J23 (129), Telle (170), hoopsguy (189), BarKeep49 (201), dubb93 (205), Raiders Army (215)

Fair enough, I suppose. But I'm not buying it. I want an item name.

CrimsonFox 03-22-2010 07:43 PM

Okay, how about "The Gun of Head Explosion"

I'm with BK on this one - in for a penny, in for a pound. May as well go full disclosure if you are a villager and giving out this kind of info.

CrimsonFox 03-22-2010 07:53 PM

My point is the item name is not really important.
What it does is. Granted I know you think he's totally bluffing for not giving a name.

dubb93 03-22-2010 07:56 PM

Crimson is really going over the top here.

hoopsguy 03-22-2010 07:57 PM

Crimson, I know I had no idea what my item did at first glance. I was able to make a couple of educated guesses after doing a quick bit of research. But I'm nowhere close to being able to pinpoint exactly what it will do.

So maybe there are differences between what EF sees with his item and what I'm seeing. That's cool. But where is the harm in naming the item at this point? He would only be helping those of us considering moving their votes to make a better decision, as it relates to him.

Am I missing something?

EagleFan 03-22-2010 08:01 PM

Not giving the item a name. Giving it away to the minister since that role can't be corrupted. Was going to wait until near the deadline to say that but I may not be online again.

J23 03-22-2010 08:04 PM

Just getting back to the thread. I'm pretty sure of what my item does unless it was named specifically to mislead people (which I doubt). As a result, I don't really doubt that EF could have an item that spells it out fairly clearly.

hoopsguy 03-22-2010 08:05 PM

But you are 100% certain that the item does what you say it does, EF? This is not conjecture, but fact?

This doesn't smell quite as much as when you fake revealed with my role, but it is not that far off ...

Fair enough. All the more reason to tell us the name.

J23 03-22-2010 08:11 PM

In these item games, is it typical for the wolves to get the items from villagers they kill? Trying to think of possible reasons to hide item info.

Entirely possible. But EF is passing his item to the Minister. So again, no reason not to tell us the name.

KWhit 03-22-2010 08:15 PM

I didn't like the way he seemed to manufacture something against me early in the day, and this "reveal" kind of reeks of fish.

that's why I was asking about the order of actions earlier (that CR thought was suspicious).

No harm at all saying the item and you are right in that sense. Unfortunately as he stepped away "due to illness". I'm not saying anything clears him of anything. But nor does it make him guilty. Some people just don't share "everything" and are still villagers. I'm usually wrong when I jump to conclusions myself so I try not to anymore.

EagleFan 03-22-2010 08:18 PM

I'll say it one more time. Not going to name the item. I gave it to the minister.

To answer the other question, no I am not 100% certain but I feel there are mutliple uses for this item and based on the answer that I received that I can use it at any time I feel certain that I could have used it in that manner (and most certainly would have if I was a wolf). Since I am vanilla I am no big loss so if it helps gain voting history then vote me tonight. It would make no real sense for me to use it (for the village) unless I was 100% certain on who I was going after. I won't let my strong desire for a "screw you" action to affect my village play however.
