Penrose, you missed out on some fun tonight.

Good job team Baratheon. Let's think of some things to try tomorrow. I'll check back before bed.

Who am I kidding. I'll check back a bunch of times before bed.

Darth Vilus 05-23-2013 12:01 AM

Wow seriously, I missed out on a bunch lol. Damn work

Keeping murrayyyyy will give you an honor hit. Spending money on the poor will give you an honor bonus. Murrayyyyy can do what he wants with his money, including giving it to you.

I don't have a rule set up to accept apologies. :D

BRIENNE OF TARTH AND SER LORAS TYRELL BOTH LEAVE CAMP ON UNKNOWN ERRANDS.

Chief Rum 05-23-2013 03:36 AM

BRIENNE OF TARTH HAS RETURNED TO CAMP. SHE HAD A SUCCESSFUL RAID!

Chief Rum 05-23-2013 03:38 AM

SER LORAS TYRELL IS BACK IN CAMP. IT SEEMS HE DID NOT HAVE A SUCCESSFUL RAID.

HIS MEN WERE UNCERTAIN IN THEIR ACTIONS UNDER HIM BECAUSE HE IS CURRENTLY UNDER THE WEIGHT OF AN ENEMY OF THE REALM DECISION.

Chief Rum 05-23-2013 03:39 AM

Brienne's successful raid was on Maidenpool, and Loras's attempt at a raid was on Duskendale, both of the House Baratheon of Dragonstone.

fontisian 05-23-2013 07:51 AM

I think we should send an emissary to the Starks. Maybe one to Stannis or the Lannisters as well.

fontisian 05-23-2013 08:48 AM

Right, I'm back to thinking with a level head and I have an idea. We could unite against the Lannisters while working on an alliance with Stannis to blindside Stark.

I would like to hear more details. I'm torn about how much more I want Brienne bickering in main thread until I know what you are thinking.

path12 05-23-2013 10:09 AM

murrayyyyy, how is your schedule today?

If we send out emissaries I want it to be Brienne and Loras because I would like to be able to keep up PM's with Penrose and out of this thread. This should be a big day for spies.

I will pardon Loras in main thread now.

fontisian 05-23-2013 10:14 AM

The broad idea is to continue working against Lannister right now with Stark and Stannis. In the meantime, we convice Stannis to work with us against Stark the moment Joffrey is out of power. We then overwelm Stark with Stannis' help, and then duke it out between the two of us. Stark may not see it coming because of the public argument with Stannis.

Are you willing to parlay with Stannis today?

fontisian 05-23-2013 10:29 AM

Sure.

Semi busy with having to change out a manager of one of my stores today. I'll try to check in as much as I can.

path12 05-23-2013 10:45 AM

OK. I am sending you out somewhere, I just don't know where yet. I found out something very interesting, and hesitate to get specific in thread, but the wolf is not as dire as we think. We are the ones that others should be looking to ally with. Does that change your thinking?

fontisian 05-23-2013 10:47 AM

Would you prefer to unite with Stark against Stannis?

OK, whereever we decide is the main focus of our diplomatic attention Brienne will go to, and you will go somewhere where we need some (but fewer) messages sent -- probably Lannister.

Regardless, you guys need to keep your PM's in case you need to talk to me for now -- I will announce in main thread if I want you to get in touch with someone specific since you won't be able to check in here.

Just got notice of another PM. We'll figure out exactly where and what to talk about in a few minutes.

path12 05-23-2013 11:08 AM

OK. I believe I misread some information.

This will be done privately, but I am going to send Brienne to Stannis and Loras to Lannister. I want you both to try and get a commitment of some sort. We will negotiate in good faith, but we are going to be looking to take the best firm offer that is followed up with a sign of some sort.

With the Lannisters I am willing to go against either Stannis or Stark but prefer Stannis.

With Stannis I am willing to go against the Lannisters or against Stark but I am not making a first move there.

Save your PM's in case you need to present me with something but if you do give me as much info as possible about the entire dealings because I will only be able to give you one reply.

Let's also put some code words together to use in main thread:
If things are proceeding well -- "night"
If things are proceeding poorly -- "dear"
If we are going to need to move first -- "ocean" (likely need a followup PM at that point)
If we get a deal -- "bollocks" (shout out to Ser Gregor!)

Do not make any votes yet. And do not stay longer than the deadline.

I'll send the PM's in a bit but want to get your feedback first and also let me know if I am missing anything.

fontisian 05-23-2013 11:19 AM

Should I transfer the 20,000 men back before leaving?

After seeing our daily report I already took them back. Sorry, should have mentioned that.

path12 05-23-2013 11:30 AM

Just remembered something I found interesting. When I was talking with Tywin I did offer him refuge if needed. And then it came up in main thread by Cersei.

Not sure exactly what to make of that, other than she apparently has people in the shadows as well.

This is funny because Brienne has no other troops of her own. So this comes off as her not noticing that every soldier of 20,000 up and left without telling her. :D

I like to think my Lady has eyes for none but me. :D

path12 05-23-2013 12:07 PM

Just waiting for you guys to check in that you are good to go, then I will send the PM's to Chief.

path12 05-23-2013 12:49 PM

Chief, we will donate to the poor.

murrayyyyy 05-23-2013 01:53 PM

I'm good with that plan, just let me know when to fire it off.

murrayyyyy 05-23-2013 01:53 PM

anyone in particular you want me to message?

You'll be an emissary to the Lannister camp. I imagine you'll be dealing with Joffrey. Chief will fill you in for sure.

Enjoy your talks! I'll send the PM to Chief now.

path12 05-23-2013 02:06 PM

Hello Cersei.

Chief Rum 05-23-2013 02:57 PM

Ser Loras Tyrell has left the camp on an unknown errand.

path12 05-23-2013 03:09 PM

Lady Brienne, I had to send you to Dragonstone as well but am sure you know how you want to play this -- I didn't want anyone to think we were just talking to Lannister.

Safe travels and have fun!

Chief Rum 05-23-2013 03:22 PM

Brienne of Tarth has left the camp on an unknown errand.

path12 05-24-2013 10:04 AM

Would anyone have a problem with a bulk proxy vote from us to show us as united?

fontisian 05-24-2013 10:35 AM

I'm back with a deal from Stannis.

The basics are:
1. If Tywin flees, we capture him and we send him to Stannis, Stannis will consider us allies and act accordingly by attacking the Starks after the Lannisters instead of us.

2. Stannis also consider a tranfer of lands or gold (or if we can think of something else) a sign of good will, but the transfer of Tywin would cement the alliance in his mind

2. Right now, Stanis want to focus on raiding Joffrey's wealthier lands (he'll raid King's Landing as it is open to the sea if we raid the landlocked Harrenhall) and on convincing Joffrey and his bannermen to bend the knee.

3. If we sent Stannis Tywin and continued to weaken the Lannisters with raids, he would be willing to be the first to declare war on the Lannisters and he will send us the first bannerman he captures afterwards.

4. We will consider the arrival of the next bannerman Stannis capture after we send Stannis Tywin a guarantee of our alliance.

5. Any votes for each other's bannerman (outside of a possible rouge bannerman) or raids are considered alliance breaking.

6. Should we send Stannis Tywin and Joffrey want to bend the knee to one of us, Stannis would try to ensure that Joffery bends the knee to us to ensure the balance of power. Should this occur, we would be expected to negotiate some transfer of land and wealth to maintain the balance.

7. If Tywin sends us gold before we capture him and transfer him to Stannis, Stannis is fine with us keeping it. He will have a problem if we recieve Tywin's gold and Tywin refuses to bend the knee to him.

What do you think?

I am fine with a group vote.

path12 05-24-2013 10:41 AM

Well done, Lady Brienne.

As you know, I've been meeting with Lord Karstark. My proposal to the Starks is this: If they vote out Melisandre, we will take out Jaime and Joffrey the following two days.

My thinking is that the Lannisters would certainly be up for a Melisandre vote today, and Stark would be able to talk Stannis into Lannister votes rather than us the next two. In a way we could grind them both between us.

I don't know what to make of all these Tywin rumors. That is a lot of smoke for no fire.

Stannis is a prickly sort, isn't he?

path12 05-24-2013 10:42 AM

But if we cannot vote enemies of the realm that certainly changes things.

And I am interested to hear of the talks with the Lannisters as well. I can't help but see it as a good thing that we don't appear to be getting outright rejected by anyone.

fontisian 05-24-2013 10:43 AM

Stannis appears be concerned that we will stab him in the back if he agrees to work with us.

Well, I want to so I guess that is understandable. His navy and potential magic capabilities scare me.

But we are looking for the best deal. If this turns out to be it we will take it and honor it.

path12 05-24-2013 10:48 AM

Yay for talking in thread again! I traded a few PM's with the Hand but I missed our camp.

path12 05-24-2013 10:51 AM

So that I am clear, anything other than a Lannister vote today would drive Stannis away from this deal, right?

Did you set up any way to signal intentions in thread? If not no biggie, just wondering.

fontisian 05-24-2013 10:54 AM

Correct and ugh, I knew I was forgetting something. Though, for future reference, "ocean" is a terrible code word.

path12 05-24-2013 11:05 AM

Oh, the code words sucked in general. I did like the drop in the ocean line but then got confused with both the dear and night in the last one.

We'll work on those.

fontisian 05-24-2013 11:06 AM

We didn't have a code word for when things were going alright but not great, so I put the words for poor and good together and hoped you would figure it out.

path12 05-24-2013 11:11 AM

Ha! Clever! I did get the gist so it worked pretty well in the end.

Depending on what goes down here I am thinking of either you or Loras using your PM to signal Tywin about what we decide and also to express that even though I of course would never believe these rumors that he would always have a place at Storm's End.

Too much?

path12 05-24-2013 11:12 AM

Or Penrose might have one too, not sure about that. Penrose?

path12 05-24-2013 11:16 AM

Brienne, Loras, Penrose. A question. If you were in my place after what happened with Ser Gregor and Tywin Lannister somehow decided to come to our castle, would you turn him over to Stannis?

Because I am having trouble figuring out why on earth I would repay him killing the guy who was going to join us by sending him another guy who might possibly want to join us.

Chief Rum 05-24-2013 11:19 AM

Brienne of Tarth has returned to camp from her unknown errand.

fontisian 05-24-2013 12:06 PM

I think sending the bannerman to Stannis is worth it if we get a longterm alliance from the deal. Keep in mind that he has agreed to send a bannerman to us as part of his end of the bargain. Otherwise, I worry that if Tywin does end up joining us, Stark and Stannis will decide to work together against us.

I would like to use my pm to talk to Blue if we're considering Stannis' offer, because we're good friends irl and if she agrees to the alliance, I am fairly certain she won't betrary us.
