Awful halftime show. Lip synced rap...

NobodyHere 01-08-2018 09:14 PM

Why is this game being played again? Florida gov Rick Scott already declared UCF national champions and he's one of those stable geniuses that I've been hearing about.

CU Tiger 01-08-2018 09:20 PM

Tua?!?
Wow...Nick is panicking

digamma 01-08-2018 09:30 PM

That was my take.

Hurts back in, I guess. In that case, why throw away a possession?

Nevermind. Hurts not in.

Edward64 01-08-2018 09:33 PM

Me too. I think a little too quick to swap him out (but I'm no Saban).

But that was a nice run !!

Edward64 01-08-2018 09:35 PM

Well, I guess Saban is smarter than me.

Edward64 01-08-2018 09:41 PM

I think Chubbs has negative yardage now.

EagleFan 01-08-2018 09:46 PM

Nice throw on the Georgia response.

JonInMiddleGA 01-08-2018 09:50 PM

That TD pretty much evens out the bad calls (and, yes, that missed facemask was a pretty bad miss)

Edward64 01-08-2018 09:53 PM

What a crazy interception.

Sorry I found this funny:lol:

He is one of the best coaches in college football history. So nothing to be ashamed of. HAHA!

Edward64 01-08-2018 09:55 PM

I think Tua has brought back some hope so good call by him.

jbergey22 01-08-2018 10:33 PM

Georgia is playing to not lose. Uh oh!

bronconick 01-08-2018 10:46 PM

Blowing a double digit 2nd half lead in a championship game is a state tradition in Georgia.

cuervo72 01-08-2018 10:47 PM

WR on the near side should have been called for a false start on that TD.

edit: seriously, rewind it and slow-mo it on the DVR.

Just painful watching this happen. Everyone from the coaches to the players absolutely shrank under the pressure in the fourth quarter. Really lost it on those two conservative possessions and then was just asking Fromm to do too much to come back out cold after not throwing a pass in however many minutes and try to lead a game winning drive.

tarcone 01-08-2018 11:02 PM

Wow kid will never be the same.

bhlloy 01-08-2018 11:02 PM

Yeah, if Bama loses this I don't think that kid is ever going to get over that. What an awful kick.

Touche. Talk about a deer in the headlights look. Do you go for it on fourth down in OT now?

Butter 01-08-2018 11:03 PM

Holy shit. I gotta get up at 5:20, guys. 5:20!!!

Butter 01-08-2018 11:03 PM

I hate playing for FGs in that situation for that reason. Especially in college.

JonInMiddleGA 01-08-2018 11:06 PM

Saban outsmarted himself by putting the ball in the middle & removing the margin for error.

JPhillips 01-08-2018 11:10 PM

(deleted comment about freshman QB mistake)

MrBug708 01-08-2018 11:10 PM

Wow.

bhlloy 01-08-2018 11:11 PM

How did that just happen?

Galaril 01-08-2018 11:11 PM

Poor Georgia..... and Saban's Bama machine marches on. Wow indeed.

cuervo72 01-08-2018 11:12 PM

Oh joy, another Alabama championship. And I'll double my excitement when the Patriots win again in a month!

bob 01-08-2018 11:12 PM

Couldn't imagine a more undeserving team in a game they didn't deserve to win.

But thanks for beating UGA.

Julio Riddols 01-08-2018 11:13 PM

Wow, what a finish.

bob 01-08-2018 11:13 PM

Also, for once, I'll admit that uga fans may have some legitimate complaints about the refs.

EagleFan 01-08-2018 11:13 PM

Crazy finish. One job as a DB on that play, don't get beat deep.

No shit. Î was just thinking that too.

Julio Riddols 01-08-2018 11:14 PM

The half time adjustments Alabama pulled off were pure magic.

Saban puts a freshman QB who has only played in garbage time in the second half of the national championship, and they win it.

Unbelievable. That's what you can do when you're coach for life.

EagleFan 01-08-2018 11:16 PM

Saban has obviously sold his soul.

You dont need to sell your soul when you are the devil. He steals the souls.

It's also what you can do when you have 5* up an down your roster. Plug & play.

JonInMiddleGA 01-08-2018 11:24 PM

Helluva throw, perfect read, perfect execution.

We might have to consider what the odds of that playcall actually working were at some point buuuuut ... not tonight.

Thank you to all involved.

JonInMiddleGA 01-08-2018 11:28 PM

Freshman QB who hadn't played in a game that ended closer than 18 points.
Freshman WR who only caught 7 passes all season.

Unreal.

CU Tiger 01-08-2018 11:30 PM

What a game.
The standard has returned to the mountaintop.
Set your sights boys and aim true

JonInMiddleGA 01-08-2018 11:45 PM

Oh, and while I'm noting stuff ... pretty f'n brutal to force Hurts into a post-game interview.

ESPN wasn't the only one, another reported was waiting their turn right behind them but ... damn, he's either 19 or 20 years old, that's a helluva thing to be asked to graceful during. Good on him for doing so.

Edward64 01-08-2018 11:45 PM

Good game.

I'm not sure that Alabama deserved to win but they deserved it more than GA.

bbgunn 01-08-2018 11:48 PM

Tua!!!! MAHALO!!!

And shitty safety play, but I will give the frosh QB credit. He played with poise and earned it.

Agreed. And no matter what you think of them, Hurts and Tua BOTH exemplified class and grace. Congrats young men. Enjoy.

That they did, both solid young men.

Oh absolutely, both were fantastic in the postgame. I've even see a cpl fans of {cough} the other team talking them up afterwards.

NobodyHere 01-09-2018 12:36 AM

So UCF isn't the NFC?

I think that is open to debate ... but we do know the best conference. :)

digamma 01-09-2018 07:07 AM

Still trying to figure out why #1 wasn't on the field Georgia's last series of regulation. But, Roll Tide Roll!
