It really is crazy. He is running past the most freakish athletes on the planet like they are standing still.

stevew 01-23-2022 08:34 PM

Hill beat that DB like he was carrying his child

He still has a shot but I agree with the sentiment so far.

spleen1015 01-23-2022 08:36 PM

Crazy

Ksyrup 01-23-2022 08:39 PM

But I will have entries pivoting off Giovanni Bernard, Tyler Johnson, Scottie Miller, OJ Howard... errbody.

Gabriel Davis

This fucking game

This one lived up to the hype

So one of my best friends birthday parties was tonight. He is not a sports fan, doesn't even have CBS so watching this game was out. I floated bringing my apple TV to hook up at his place, he wouldn't care, and my wife was like, absolutely not.

Calls me this morning, he tested positive for covid, party is off and I got to watch the game.

bhlloy 01-23-2022 08:43 PM

Going to be some secondary coach openings this off-season among playoff teams

Solecismic 01-23-2022 08:44 PM

They should take the film from this game and agree never to show it to anyone who wants to become a defensive coordinator. It would prompt instant career changes.

I told you too much time was left.

sovereignstar v2 01-23-2022 08:45 PM

Jesus Christ

bronconick 01-23-2022 08:45 PM

How do you not cover Kelce?

JPhillips 01-23-2022 08:45 PM

This has to be the best playoff weekend in the history of the NFL.

sterlingice 01-23-2022 08:46 PM

This one feels like it's coming down to the coin flip

SI

Ksyrup 01-23-2022 08:46 PM

Inexcusable. And TOs before the last 2 plays.

stevew 01-23-2022 08:46 PM

Dunno maybe you chip Hill or Kelce at the line.

Lathum 01-23-2022 08:46 PM

Bills thought they had won, they were celebrating. I don't know how they get up off the mat.

That DB made a fairly good effort to demonstrate that skill. One shoulder fake and he was like a turnstile at the county fair.

Ksyrup 01-23-2022 08:47 PM

Is this true sudden death or still the FG rule?

thesloppy 01-23-2022 08:48 PM

This fucking game

Ksyrup 01-23-2022 08:49 PM

Might as well call off the rest of the season. Everything else is going to be a letdown after this weekend.

bhlloy 01-23-2022 08:49 PM

That is just an all time bad call by the Buffalo defensive coordinator. Rush 4, drop 7 and leave one on one coverage all the way to the FG line. What on earth.

Absolutely the best weekend of football I’ve ever seen now. I can’t even imagine being a Bills fan right now.

Yeah, this is the scenario where I don't like the TD ends it rule. In games like this, the coin toss winner has a bigger advantage than usual.

Lathum 01-23-2022 08:52 PM

They may want to guard Kelce

Ksyrup 01-23-2022 08:52 PM

How about cover Kelce?

And Leslie Frazier is the guy the George McCaskey wants to hire for the Bears.

sovereignstar v2 01-23-2022 08:55 PM

Ew

JPhillips 01-23-2022 08:56 PM

This loss is going to hang with the Bills for a long time.

I'll bet if you ask any long time Bills fan they will say this stings just as much if not more than any of the 4 Superbowl losses.

I'm not saying the Chiefs are winning the Super Bowl, but it looked like these were the two best teams left in the playoffs after the carnage from this weekend. So it's a huge opportunity for whoever would win the game.

miami_fan 01-23-2022 09:01 PM

I know that it is what is supposed to happen, but I can't criticize either team or staff at this point. Not after some of the bullshit decisions I have seen in the three previous games. I am chalking this one up to one team had to lose.

They'll either be a 13 win team next year or they'll miss the playoffs, but this game is going to define them next year.

larrymcg421 01-23-2022 09:05 PM

A game like this illustrates why judging players by team accomplishments is so stupid. According to that logic, it's the QB's job to win the game, and Josh Allen failed to do that today.

stevew 01-23-2022 09:06 PM

I'm hating that I have to cheer for the Bengals next week.

Yep, as much as I said I saw eight teams capable of winning it all, Chiefs (and Bills) definitely looked like the heavyweight contenders.

Having said that, I'll stick by what I said about the Bengals, who went into Arrowhead three weeks ago and did the same thing the Bills did this week but actually came out on top. That was a game the Chiefs needed to win to have a shot at home field advantage, but I appreciate the playoffs are a different beast.

I really disliked the decision not to squib kick there at the end. Seems unfathomable that you would give Mahomes any extra time. To me that was one of the worst coaching decisions all weekend.

albionmoonlight 01-23-2022 09:09 PM

It was a touching tribute to Drew Brees that two defenses decided to ruin their QB's miracle comeback by giving up big scores at the very end of the game.

Thomkal 01-23-2022 09:09 PM

Man what a crazy fun finish. I would have loved to see somebody anybody to make as strong a defensive play at the end as all that offense was. Thought Bills had won it twice there

He really did a crap job covering Kelce in the last couple of minutes

I thought the same thing. The potential yards they would lose weren't worth the time for Mahomes.

Lathum 01-23-2022 09:13 PM

I get the feeling we are going to look back on Allens career and say he would have won a lot more if he didn't play in the same league as Mahomes.
