I'm not on the steamroll BK bandwagon, and I've seen Pass be a pretty good wolf.

Right, I think we need to treat jail as a possible added bonus, but the vote as a regular lynch.

Which means we need some other viable candidates. Pass I believe just said he's out, which makes me not want to vote for him, or for Clap really since Pass's vote is stuck there. I'm just going to pick someone I haven't heard anything from then.

I haven't been able to see how the discussion has gone today and my phone is loading this ultra slow so I'm just gonna get my vote on someone who I trust to make good decisions. Hed make a devious wolf-king but it seems like our kings will be very scrutinized (and/or have short life spans if they aren't wolves). Ill check back in as soon as I get home to see how things went and decide on lynch/jail or whatever were moving towards

To me, voting hoops or Danny could be all or nothing decision. If they're good, it improves our chances immensely, but if they're bad, we're in trouble big time.

Given that it looks like we're going for the 'jail' option rather than 'lynch' today, it's probably worth a look at how jail works.

The 20% chance of a 'free' scan has been discussed already, but I don't think that anyone has mentioned the king's ability to either set a prisoner free or send him to the local equivalent of the hangman's noose.


One thing that isn't mentioned here (but is mentioned elsewhere in the initial rules post) is that the Order of Righteousness cannot guard the prison on consecutive nights.

(Well, that's what I'm assuming - the rules post has 'May not guard the prison on consecutive.' Dubb - could you please say if I'm interpreting this correctly?)


Not immediately relevant, but worth bearing in mind (particularly for the player who's playing the role of Arbitro, or if the Dark One is killed early on in the game).


This is different to the two articles we'll be seeing from Diffama Fabula (where one will be written by the real Ms Fabula, the other by the Dark One) - we will know who has written any prisoner articles. (I see this as the prisoner(s) can only communicate with one letter to the newspaper each day.

It's also worth pointing out something from a bit further down the rules post - newspaper articles from prisoners are only published if the prisoner is still alive and in prison at the end of the night actions.


In other words, don't just assume that the prisoners released on a Dark One-inspired jail break are automatically wolves...


In particular, this means that the seer can't carry out any scans if they get jailed.

earlier i had my clients call and bitch at me because the guy on the other end of the conference call i setup for them was an idiot. not my fault he wanted the call.

and just now i had another client call looking for my coworker/boss (who's headed to NYC to meet them tomorrow). I said 'oh he's left' and the guy (who's been on vacation in europe for 2 weeks) flippantly replied "aren't normal business hours until 5pm?" I was like "yeah but he's headed down to nyc tonight to meet someone there."

Now idk - maybe second client was trying to be funny, but since I hate people it came off as pissy to me.

I don't want to introduce a new candidate, and I don't want to jump on the Barkeep bandwagon (although the quick king vote for Schmidty is mildly suspicious to me). That leaves using my vote to try to stop the current one-horse race, and Pass is the obvious candidate.

Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and we always have the option of cycling through kings.

Pass' game so far has been very unlike his last two games when he was a wolf and he's gone for the day, so I don't think I am going there with my vote.

This is going to be random regardless, so I'm not going to overthink it and instead give it to someone who wants it for understandable, if not game related, reasons.

My inclination is to vote for Pass and turn this into a straight race, but I'm not sure how much this tells us - most likely case is villager/villager, and races make people reveal roles too early.

Since the lynch deadline is so late I'll keep my vote on KWhit for now. He's not getting any traction, but for the reasons I stated before I don't really want to pile on Pass or Clap.

Clap's actions strike me as really silly, but that isn't an unusual thought in that regard.

I think I'll be here with plenty of time between now and the deadline so I'll wait until later to take an action. I'll be voting jail/king, fwiw.
