Some of you look familiar from my career at JurisFiction.

Zinto 07-10-2011 09:59 AM

Hello everyone.

This is like a dream come true. Is this my reward for being the top paper salesman in all of Dunder-Mifflin. It is like all my favorite characters are here, but where is William Adama?

dubb93 07-10-2011 10:21 AM

What happened brothers. Mach and I were sleeping, then there was list loud boom. Now we see Duke Nukem, Harry Potter, and some strange goo.

Me and Mach aren't sure what is going on here, but one thing is certain brother. There is only room for one "Hulk" here. That so called phoney hulk and all of his wolf brothers will feel the wrath of the Hulkamaniacs. Whatcha gonna do Hulk....Whatcha gon do....

This is Jack Bauer checking in. I am here to save the world...and I can already tell this is going to be the longest day of my life (or longest few days...)

The Jackal 07-10-2011 11:53 AM

Have to sit down and figure out some strategies here. Is there any coffee? Back when I was in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good.

Greetings to all. I am Melisandre of Asshai, a red priestess in the servitude of the true god R'hllor. Do not doubt his power. Put R'hllor first in your heart and receive his fiery blessing, and we cannot fail to uncover the servants of our enemies.

I'm back baby....

Let's find some wolves and let God sort em out...

The biggest takeaway that I have from the games I ran with somewhat similar rulesets is that the people with information roles have to use their roles to get information. Don't get too obsessed with the cute surroundings in the game - gather role-based WW information every time you have a chance to do so.

Personally, I don't have multiple options for what I can do each action with my role. So I don't think that would be an issue if someone else was playing my character. But if others have roles with forking options, choose the information-based powers early and often.

Harry Potter checking in, sorry, I've been busy all weekend back dooring Ginny.

Danny 07-10-2011 08:10 PM

A little more information on the characters that come out every day. At most, per character there can be only one winner, so if out of say five characters (they may be more or less), 10 people choose to interact or fight with a specific person, at best only one of those people will receive a positive reward / outcome.

Danny 07-10-2011 08:12 PM

And again, there can be negative consequences potentially. The rewards are generally one time use type rewards and may include things like health potions, seer scans, bodyguard actions, and others.

mauchow 07-10-2011 08:46 PM

Let's get them gorram reavers!

mauchow 07-11-2011 08:56 AM

Lets get some chatter going

mauchow 07-11-2011 08:58 AM

So if you have three characters you need to attack three players today?

Autumn 07-11-2011 09:04 AM

All right, everybody. I am back from the weekend, and getting my hair done. Isn't it beautiful?

What do people think about sharing information about the characters we interact with? I think generally we don't share info, and I think generally that probably helps the wolves more than anybody else. I know, for example, when I ran Vegas Baby that some info about what the characters did would have helped the village out a lot. But games like this tend to encourage people to play individually.

Anyway, I need a spreadsheet because half the time people talk in character, I don't know what they're talking about!

Bork bork norfen nuu.

Autumn 07-11-2011 09:08 AM

Allow me to clarify my understanding of these procedures. My good friend Danny, an attack or interaction with one of these characters is an additional action allowed per player, not character. So that my Muppet friends and I, for example, can interact with one of these characters today, but not several.

Autumn 07-11-2011 09:11 AM

Since I have a number of attacks I will be using them to throw a number of people into the targets today, and then I can condense my voting if need be. No particular reasons, just people that have checked in already.

ATTACCKKK!

ANIMAL ATTACKS DUBB

Autumn 07-11-2011 09:13 AM

Oh my dear Athena, you are so lovely, let me get just a little closer.

GONZO ATTACKS BARKEEP

Tyrith 07-11-2011 09:15 AM

My availability today probably isn't going to be great. I'm going to chuck out a random vote today. After the postgame for The Dark Knight, I'm going to go ahead and widen my range for day 1 votes. We have a lot of characters in this game that seem like mostly muscle, so I feel like we'll be okay if we lose one - and I suspect most of them will be fairly hard to kill anyway, especially early.

STANDARD ATTACK MCKERNEY

Autumn 07-11-2011 09:16 AM

There is no such thing as magic, Beaker. Let me prove it to you. Just attach Harry to this electrostatic device and you'll see he can't do anything about it.

PROFESSOR HONEYDEW ATTACKS LATHUM

I think you are supposed to standard attack a character rather than player. Maybe I'm wrong here...

I think you're right - Danny?

Autumn 07-11-2011 09:56 AM

Oh that makes sense, yeah, I'm not sure why I did that. So to clarify (let me know if this isn't sufficient, Danny):

ANIMAL ATTACKS HULK HOGAN
GONZO ATTACKS ATHENA
HONEYDEW ATTACKS HARRY POTTER
BEAKER ATTACKS HARRY POTTER

Unvote Hulk Standard Attacks "The Hulk"

dubb93 07-11-2011 10:16 AM

I think we should target those of us with multiple characters today. One would assume, and I'm sure Autumn will protest, knocking off a muppet should reveal the allegiance of the rest of them. Same is true of Miss Elizabeth, knock her off and you know The Mega Powers are good. Apply this to everyone with multiple characters. We should team up and kill their weakest link today.

Yes, this is correct. All day attacks are made against characters.

Danny 07-11-2011 10:24 AM

Just to clarify, but only once a player (not character) is eliminated will you know their allegiance.

Danny 07-11-2011 10:24 AM

And I need to remember to bold and font change before posting, so that all of my posts don't end up with edits.

Barkeep49 07-11-2011 10:35 AM

I do not think it wise to attack me. However since Gonzo has been attacked by several others and I don't think he's likely not to be strong I am going to attack another character:

Athena attacks Beaker

Barkeep49 07-11-2011 10:35 AM

DOLA - I am on board with the idea of targeting someone with multiple characters first. I think it's quite possible that they're going to be cumulatively stronger than average so knocking off at least a few of their characters would seem to even the playing field.

OOC: I think this is a very smart idea. For those who weren't there for the Vegas game, people had to buy services like BG / seer etc. There were frequently times when a service was bought for diddily because of the lack of coordination. We already know the wolves will coordinate their attacks / interactions, seems like a good idea for us to do as well so we don't have (as q guess) 13/16 players going for the same character. That said, I won't reveal my intentions unless others agree because I doubt the rest of the folks will go along with this. Think about it though, I think Autumn is right on the money with his thoughts. /OOC

Zinto 07-11-2011 10:38 AM

Since we need to eliminate players to find their allegiance then we should focus most of our attention on single character players at least for today since gathering information is in our best interest and having another day one tomorrow since we did not remove anyone probably is not going to help us much.

Plus even though I am a single character I know in death i will be even stronger like a Jedi because when I die, I want to be frozen. And if they have to freeze me in pieces, so be it. I will wake up stronger than ever, because I will have used that time, to figure out exactly why I died. And what moves I could have used to defend myself better now that I know what hold he had me in.

Lathum 07-11-2011 10:40 AM

correct me if I am wrong here.

Is it a good or bad strategy to eliminate some of the multiple characters first? I am thinking if a wolf has multiple characters it may be harder to eliminate them later in the game?
