I feel a little bad voting for you because I feel you're one of the better players but if Izulde had the same number of votes, I'd probably vote for him.

If Izulde ends dying sometime at some point during the game and turns out to be evil, I'll be looking in a different direction.

A vouch can be verified later, and isn't worth risking a lynch on day 1. I think it's something like that rather than full faith in what Fouts says.

I think you need to build trust. Not just show up when things go bad. If Izulde and I were both bad guys, I surely wouldn't vouch for him.

It would be a very strange wolf play to do what Fouts has done, basically vouching for a player who was on the block.

Kind of hard to build trust in your second game and you get lynched on the first day.

I must have missed this in my quick read, who did Fouts vouch for?

i have a hard time with this reveal....the list of roles is rather huge, and says not all of the roles may appear in the game, so what you are asking us to believe is that you have role that wasnt even listed....imo, you had to come up with something that no one else could possibly have, so you pulled a Dickens character out of no where to claim, sort of lathum's pony express rider move.

You help Fagin. Fagin is a bad guy. Ergo, whether you yourself are good or bad you do the work of those who wish to harm us.

I meant in the game, not over a series of games. I started building trust with my posts this morning. Once the time came, I gave my (semi-trusted) opinion on somebody who was on the block.

Well, the Fagin character is listed. But I guess you'll find out shortly when I'm lynched that I was telling the truth.

You know what i always like to do? Wait 3 games until he forgets it ever happened, then go out of my way to get him killed early and laugh it off...ahh, good times, eh lathum? ;)

Gotcha. But this is how I play. I'm pretty quiet and if this is going to be a problem I'm always going to be lynched early. I don't have anyone to vouch for so how can I build trust?

You just have to accept that in most games, somebody's going to get unjustly lynched early. Today, it's you.

Reveal some of who you are. Something that is helpful to the villagers, but not too helpful. If you seem too helpful, you are a night kill. While I rarely get lynched, I die at night all the time.

The role is so outrageous it sounds real enough...who knows at this point.

Usually the vote progression goes like this:

d1: someone who hasn't voted
d2-d4: random loud people who will complain, or people that make a tiny tiny slip
d5: actual trust based gameplay

This is a horrible generalization, of course, not including stuff like witnesses and the like, but there usually isn't a big rush to crush people that are semi-talkative early.

Well... I don't think it's necessarily that ridiculous. The Artful Dodger was one of the urchins, and I'd presume his function is as such, maybe more skilled as a pickpocket than usual. It's not made up out of whole cloth like Lathum's reveal.

Do a reveal when I'm not on the line? I revealed when I was asked, but no one cared. Oh, well. No big deal. Good luck to the good guys.

I believe his reveal, though i think its a role we can lose as im not sure how helpful to good it will be. I believe it though

If it is any consolation, people don't normally get first-day lynched twice in a row. The next game you play should come with a sympathy no-vote for at least the first day.

I certainly hope you sign up for more games in future, it is unfortunate it ended this way :(

I'm not sure it's over yet. Did he have enough votes? This play for sympathy could be strategy for tomorrow.
