Sorry it didn't work out last night. It kept telling me that the online dynasty was down. I should still be available on Thursday night at the same time.
|
I should be able to get mine played today.

No problem. It was working for me last night but better to wait until it is working for both of us. I will be on at 10 on Thursday. |

Let's pick some time on Saturday. |
Fair enough, you let me know when and we'll do bloody battle.

Yeah, not able to get to my game until Monday |
Duke and USC facing off now! Depth chart worked fine for me :)
|
Bah, we lost connection on opening kickoff.
|
Everybody together now... "FUCK EA."
|
Quote:
Yep! We've lost connection 3 times on the opening kickoff. We are both re-booting Xbox to see if that helps. |
After we both reset our Xboxes, we got the game in. It was a tight affair in the first half. Duke's defense forced turnovers and our defense held tight (except for 1 long run.) We went into halftime, up 7-3.
In the 2nd half, we held them to FG's while getting a few more TD's. 21-9 win for USC over Duke. Good game Chesapeake. |
Oh yeah... please upload... please upload...
It worked! There are some people posting on OS that they have had much better luck in the last day or so, and that they think EA may have fixed the bad servers or whatever the problem is. |
Congrats, EF27. You dominated from start to finish. The score really doesn't reflect that accurately.
With this last game completed, I've retired from the dynasty. Thanks, Chris, for running it so well. |

Very sorry to see you go. Thanks for a fun game. |
chesapeake, you were a worthy opponent, man. I'll miss doing battle.
|
Back at you, gents.

It's been fun having you in the league. We'll miss you. |

Hey, the website worked for me just now, for the first time in about a month. :) |

Awesome! It would be great if we can stop worrying about our results uploading or not! |
Julio-What time would you like to play today? I have stuff to do around the house, but I can plan around whatever time you prefer.
|
Hmm.. Wanna shoot for around 5 PM?
|
Works for me.

Getting on now. |
Man, how does one sum that game up...
|
Painful? (For me.)
Did it upload for you? It didn't for me. I was trying to save some highlights (particularly the game-changing fumble), but then it froze when I was exiting the game. |
On the play of the game, my QB fumbled on the 1-foot line on his way to giving us the 10-point lead near the end of the third quarter. Instead us going up two scores, UTSA drove down and scored their own TD to go up a field goal. An interception would set up another touchdown for them to put them up 10 with 2 minutes or so left. A quick long passing TD brought us within 3, but the onside kick failed, and UTSA was able to eat our timeouts and kneel it out for the victory. Good game, Julio. This one will haunt me for a long time. Sooooo close. But you're a very deserving champion.

Kodos and IU have a formidable run game.. We knew that going in. The goal was to force the pass, but we didn't do a very good job of that, then when we did force long yardage, we forgot to spy the QB and got hurt doing that. We were just trading scores for a while.
Then Gray got hurt. After that I have to admit I breathed a sigh of relief, because we had much better luck against the backup on the few carries he had up to that point. We went into half time super frustrated though, as a chance to kick a FG going in with one second left was denied when the game refused to accept my attempts to call time out. I was mashing select as soon as my guy hit the ground but they wouldn't give me the time out. I tossed the controller a short distance onto my bed in disbelief because I knew we needed those 3 points and I knew my kicker could hit that. Second half rolls around and we get off to a shaky start, being held to a FG, which I thought for sure would hurt us badly. However, we were amazingly fortunate to have Indiana's QB fumble going in on an apparent TD run. It was a miraculous play and an incredible turn of events, and without that play we may not have had a chance. Well our good luck continued shortly after that on a 3rd and 20 after we managed a pick to try and put the game firmly in our hands and take a ten point lead. Well, that 3rd and 20 played out like a near exact replica of a 3rd and 14 Indiana converted earlier in the game. Receiver draped in good single coverage still makes a solid grab, saving the drive. We later pushed it across to go up 10, a commanding lead at that point in the game.. But the Hoosiers weren't done. The first play of their next drive was a beautiful bomb for a TD over my CB and my slow reacting safety for 6. Game back to 3 with about 1:40 left, the onside kick was next. We managed to recover and save ourselves the win with a first down and a few kneel downs, but man, that was tense. I'm still a little high strung from the experience. If that game was recorded it would have been a classic to re-watch. Hell of a game, Kodos. Wish your RB would have stayed healthy to make it more even strength. EDIT: It uploaded for me. |
Yeah, Gray going out hurt, although his backup was decent in the second half.
This didn't affect the result, but I was having a weird problem where neither my nickel or dime formations showed any plays in the play selection screen. Luckily, you rarely ran 3-WR sets, and stuck mostly to the run. I don't know if maybe my playbook is corrupted or what. Whatever, nice job EA. Like I said, I don't think it affected the outcome of the game. UTSA are the rightful champs! (The bastards...) |
Quote:
That is also lame.. Mine were fine on my end, though I had the occasional problem getting my button presses to register. Just twice though. |
Congrats Julio! I know how tough Kodos and this team are. A well earned win!

Still haunting me. |
I remember that play so damn vividly.. You cut inside, had a clear run to the end zone seemingly, then my guy dives from behind and somehow, miraculously, strips the ball out before you got over the line. I sit with my mouth open, having literally said "What the fuck?" twice in a row in entirely different ways. First it was "aw, what the fuck" in a sort of dejected "Shit, this game is in serious doubt now" mode. The second time I said "What the fuuuuck?" Like I just discovered a stash of hundred dollar bills in my pillow stuffing or something.
That and the 3rd and 20 conversion were absolutely vital plays. |
I tried to challenge the call, but it wouldn't let me. After viewing the play after the game, I would have lost the review.
|

I tried to review a play in my last game too. I don't think you can challenge in player vs player games. |
I decided to play my bowl game tonight. Unfortunately no one told Penn state.
We called the dogs off at half and cruised 63-17 |
Sorry guys. I was under the impression not everyone was done yet. Will advance things at lunch.
|
Or, maybe tonight.

Quickly, before we advance to Players leaving, I've decided we are going to implement these rules. I expect to regret this in about 30 seconds (Gray). Crosses fingers.... |
Players Leaving - Deadline 5/26 (Tues) at 11 p.m. EST
Whew! Justin Gray is projected to go in the 6th, so I still have a chance. :)
|
Promising him the Heisman did the trick. :) Go Hoosiers!
Sucks that a promising defensive back is transferring, and that we lost our top returning TE to transfer because our OC left for Arkansas. Our DC left to be coach at MSU. |
Did we adopt the overall 90 rule or just the round rule?
|
Is the over 90 rule for transfers or players leaving for the draft? Or both?
|
Quote:
Draft. I thought we let all transfers go and all draft players who are 1st to 3rd round or with overall higher than 90. |
That works for me.
|
Gonna see who might be flying the coop in San Antonio.
|
Quote:
That may have to wait a year, since I already convinced Gray to stay this morning. |
Looks like I am losing a bruising RB to transfer, but my lone early exit, a kicker, is coming back. 5 guys projected to be drafted, including my entire backfield and top TE. Surprised my MLB Clint Peterson isn't projected, but I guess his size probably hurt him, being a squatty 5'9" and 261 pounds. Makes me wish the game more accurately depicted size in players.. He should have looked pretty strange being that size and still able to run a 4.5 40. Both my coordinators left though, leaving me with two noobs. My DC went on to Rice to coach Cartmans boys.
