I mean, Rodgers does not have a no-trade clause, so it doesn't matter who he would consider? As mentioned, Denver has a to ten pick, future firsts, and isn't in the NFC, so they have to be the favorites.

But I don't think you want to pay what it will cost if he's not happy to come to your team.

So Rodgers is great but how many years does he really have left?3 maybe ? 4? It sounds like the asking price would be like 3 first rounded and some other picks. That is steep unless a team is sure they are just a an a way. Denver fans here think they are but man I am not sure about that. Plus not sure how much Rodgers should be trusted as far as his motivation to play hard with his life outside football options.

Looks like Denver is going to win the Rodgers sweepstakes.

If you get 3 legitimate shots at the Super Bowl, three late round first rounders plus fluff is absolutely nothing. Also Denver with Manning is basically the blueprint for doing this. It's an absolute no brainer.

I don't understand why coaches continue to draft guys that are almost certain to get them fired.

I like Lance quite a bit. Better pick than Mac Jones or Fields for me

I'm a raiders fan but wife's family are 49ers fans. I could definitely root for Lance. I hope he's successful, seems like a great kid with the ability and smarts to succeed. Also in a great situation with a team that can run and play defense

Doubt it. You couldn't draw up a better fit for him than San Francisco.

If you think a guy is a no doubt hall of famer and possibly the best player at his position in history, I think you have to take him. The distinction between TE and WR is pretty much moot at this point anyway, and nobody would bat an eyelid at taking a WR at #4.

I feel like Jones is going to end up being an Andy Dalton, where he will end up being an occasionally good but mostly adequate starter for several years. Sort of high floor, not so high ceiling. I get seeing the upside, but I think between Wilson and Lance, at least one busts.

Agreed. I think success is often as much a product of fit, coaching, surrounding talent, etc. as it is individual talent. Lance is setup to succeed based on those factors.

I’ve been reading the Athletic a lot and they do some good pieces where they get anonymous reports from scouts and coaches. They pretty much universally seem to think Pitts is a sure thing with all the physical gifts, skills, and intangibles.

Why would you trade back up to 6 for a WR? I don't really get that.

I wonder if there has been a modern draft without a defensive player taken in the top six before. Seems possible that we could get to 10.

Not a huge Waddle fan. I'm not sure he's a top 3 receiver in this class.
