Werewolf Fantasy Football League- year 3
 

Hey all, year 3 of this.

The league is totaly free and will be run through Yahoo. We will be doing a live draft probably in late August, during the week and later in the day. You don't have to be online for the draft but that is half the fun so it is recomended.

This is a great chance to play if you have never played before. It is also a great chance for spouses to play against each other ( me and MM and saldana had a great time talking shit last year)

We can do it with as few as 8 and as many as 20 teams. Once we get enough sign ups I will create the league and we will decide on a draft time.

Once the league is created I recomend everyone look over the rules in case there are any changes that want to be made that can't be done once the draft starts.

I'll sign up tonight, unless someone else is dying to take that spot. I had expressed interest earlier but I've been lazy about actually grabbing the spot.

I'm in as the 12th, looks like the league will accept another 4 if there is additional interest.

I'd be interested but I would have to see the exact date of the draft. I wanted in on the baseball league, but I had to work the night of the draft. I'll wait for the draft date to be posted and then I'll swoop in and sign up if there is room and the draft isn't on a day I have to work again.

Shit, says Tuesday the 1st as the draft. Once again it is a day I will be at work :(. I'm off 20 days a month Lathum, how do you keep hitting the 10 I'm at work with these drafts. ;)

I'm fine moving the draft as well if that helps others. But I'll be out of town on Labor Day weekend so please don't move it there.

We are locked at 14 teams.

I did make a change. I made the top 6 teams get into the playoffs, not 8. Seemed dumb to have more then half the league get in.

i'd be cool with being an alternate if somebody needs to drop out y'all.

Might be a bit late, but any chance we could move the draft back one hour?

That would actually save my @ss as well as I have a softball game from 7-8 but I understand if not.

When we started doing it I just wanted to keep it as basic as possible since the whole point is a really laid back league.

Is the team draft order available, or will we find out at the time the draft starts?

it's random so we won't know the order until draft time (or about 30 mins prior as it usually lets you sign in at that point.)

At least I put in the top 20 or so, so my first two picks are excellent. After that it went down hill though overall I am ok other than my WR after Johnson, oh vey there.

Damn, made it in time to make the very last pick for my team. Oh well. Actually, I don't hate my team, my list did okay (except the Braylon Edwards pick, NOT a fan).

Yep, my auto-draft team kind of fell apart in Rounds 5-8 ... hopefully it is something that I can work through and be competitive, but it does not look like the stuff of champions.

Pending Peyton's performance tonight, this is the worst week I've ever had playing fantasy football. I've never had each and every player play so far below their average.

So long as this league counts return yardage, Darren Sproles will be it's best player.

Yeah, I didn't even pay attention before we started to the fact that return yards counted for individual players. I think it definitely is a bit weird to have it be that important of a category.

I have him in my keeper league (which also counts individual return yardage) and kept in the final and 17th round. But I'm still 0-2, damned chris johnson and frank gore in the same week.

Picking up and starting Miles Austin this week appears to have been a good move. Now I just need a solid game from Peyton tonight and maybe I can finally get a win this week.

well after starting 0-6 I've now pulled off 6 straight wins...tonight I came from 13 down to have a huge game from Colston to steal the win to pull even to 6-6

I want that bye week! This should be interested though since our finals are week 17, it's important to have guys fighting for playoff spots.

If I remember I am definitely going to change some things. Probably play a few more guys in the starting lineup and not make return yards count for starts.

As for the rules, I definitely think some people didn't realize we only started 1 RB which I know helped me pick up Moss and Gates earlier.

I agree on the return yards. I don't think I noticed that until I started checking the waiver wire and saw some odds names at the top of the scoring list like Danny Ademola from St. Louis and Josh Cribbs.

On to the finals! Should be a close matchup. Right now I'm favored by 6 but I can't believe Sproles is going to get as much run as Yahoo seems to expect. I already had to 86 Dallas Clark (and Steve Smith). Could be a tough one.
