So what other days work for you, Julio? I am off until 1/3, so fairly flexible.

I've got the same schedule off, last family Christmas stuff happening today.. I'd say this evening around 6 or 7 pm will be the beginning of about 4 days of open air with nothing much going on.

Any time in that space should work for me barring unforeseen stuff.

How about Friday morning? 9ish?

Between my many interceptions and Julio's many long screen touchdowns, our game with Orlando went very poorly today. This group is probably happy that they'll cease to exist after the season is over.

Mine is sad for the same reasons yours is happy, heh..

This team plays better than my Ladder team.. There's a level of effort it seems like I never get from UTSA. The defense was suffocating in this one and I don't think I have ever had that much defensive success in one of our games except for the first half of the one game where we both couldn't score.

Those screens though, haha.. I was just imagining you feeling the same I do when the CPU pulls one of those off on 3rd and 15 and I forgot to keep an eye out for it.

Regarding keeping the league going, I think its ok to let it die. This will be a nice last hurrah, one final attempt at winning a National Championship with these guys. It was a fun experiment though, really enjoyed the challenge of working exclusively with 2 star players.

Got my game in, team had the drops all game but we still cruised. Man, it was frustrating though, I felt like Josh Allen.

Getting on now gramm, sorry, had to pick up my son.

GG gramm, that one was hard fought and close all the way through. both teams made mistakes, both teams made ballsy 4th down calls from their own end of the field and I think us converting was the difference. The last one to get into FG range and get the clock under a minute was probably the play of the game for us. I think if you stopped me there you had the game.

Got a W by the skin of our teeth but we will take it and keep the dream alive to secure one of those national championships before this league rides off into the sunset.

Yeah Julio that was a good game. I was struggling to get my guys in deep zone to play their zones, resulting in some wide open deep guys with a cover three shell.

I had to laugh on that TD bomb on last play of the half. I had a cover three shell and dropped an extra guy back on that side in a deep blue zone, then ran over to cover that side with the MLB, but the guy was wide open with one defender trailing him. What a dummy, I should have just called a prevent seeing as it was the last play of the half.

Some good back and forth, maybe we will get the Natty match up. I hate to see the league die as this one is much more challenging than the other league appears to be.

Yeah, the 2 star limit has really been a challenge, it took a good 2-3 seasons to even get to the point of becoming a contender, which is virtually nonexistent without that limitation.

Speaking of that pass before the half, I was stunned that the WR was open at all, haha.. I just pulled the trigger and hoped it would get to the WR in bounds as I tried to guide it toward the sideline a bit to help in case the Safety made a move.. I was surprised how open he still was when the ball got there. That was definitely a key play.

We're ready to advance in Orlando.

We overcame a 21 point deficit to defeat North Plainfield in OT. Couldn't stop their offense in the first half, and a fumble returned for a TD didn't help. We really should have lost this one.

Those are the kind of games that bring the joy back to video game football, haha :)

Speaking of bringing joy, Norman Alexander Dresselhaus was born today, my second son. 7 pounds, 10 ounces, 22 inches and feet bigger than the footprint paper.

Congratulations, Julio! Norman looks like a handsome and happy little dude.

We are national champs with a 42-10 win over LSU. Backuo RB Vincent Hunter had 18 carries for 81 yards and 4 scores, DE Seth Burton had 8 tackles (6 for loss) and 4 sacks, and QB Jon Cox threw for 312 and a coupls scores on 22 of 26 passing.

It was an easier win than expected. This team played about as well together as possible.

Unfortunately for them, they are about to fade into non-existence. :eek: Poor little guys.

Congratulations on the championship! A little sad to see this league die (even if I am the one who killed it).

Haha, yep. Jon Cox is gonna be upset he didn't get to have a senior season.. amazing how far he developed as a 2 star.. Probably would have been nearly a 99 OVR.

Outer Banks pounded Oregon. Wondering if that will put us in the 2 spot?

Gonna get my games in today I suspect, the baby is pretty relaxed between feeding times so I should have a solid chance, haha.

Thankfully I'm done working doubles now that the lady is back at work. I've been basically working and sleeping for the past 2 weeks.
