CONTEST: The 12 Days of Christmas
There are 12 Days of Christmas. However, unlike the indulgent mayhem of the familiar Christmas carol, my true love is not going to give me the whole package deal. Instead, each day I will get only one gift, which is determined by me generating a random number between 1-100. The relative value of each gift is in parentheses.
1: A Partridge in a Pear Tree (12) 2-3: A Turtle Dove (11) 4-6: A French Hen (10) 7-10: A Calling Bird (9) 11-15: A Gold Ring (8) 16-21: A Goose a-Laying (7) 22-28: A Swan a-Swimming (6) 29-36: A Maid a-Milking (no jokes) (5) 37-45: A Lady Dancing (4) 46-55: A Lord a-Leaping (3) 56-66: A Piper Piping (2) 67-78: A Drummer Drumming (1) 79-100: Coal (0) Now here’s the contest. You post your prediction for the total value of gifts after the 12 days are over. You may only have one prediction posted at any one time, and it must be unique from all other prediction numbers. If you wish to post a new prediction, you should delete your previous post. I will try to keep an updated prediction list in the second post of this thread. The gift for the first day of Christmas will be drawn tomorrow. |
