I agree wholeheartedly that this is very a serious deal. Period. If what he says is true, it is a very serious deal. If what he said is false, it is very serious as well.

Hey, no offense... but I thought I read earlier that you said most of what you were alleging was based on phone conversations.

I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying that in a court of law, and in the court of public opinion, people tend to favor harder evidence than personal testimony.

I do not think anyone has a realistic case for any judicial matters unless .400 sues for slander. I also do not think .400 has anything to lose, as probably a small majority of their fanbase would actually care about ethics.

Im not calling him a liar yet, but Im more likely to believe Joe as opposed to Jason K. Then again, I do believe that this boards (by its nature) leans more towards FOF then any of the 400 games- and that there is a certain defensiveness towards FOF (like an official game board)..

So I think I missed alot while I was out of town for a month or two... Who is and is not affiliated with .400 anymore? I saw a few people in those threads that I thought were working together taking shots at each other..

I am impartial right now. I could see .400 doing something like this. The company has a history of releasing software early, which could be unethical right there. It is a competitive market and Joe might not stop at anything to get ahead. I think druez's wife is the secret here. Why was she hired? Was she hired to keep druez quiet? What is her exact position at .400?

So many questions and no answers. I am reserving judgment until the facts arise.

I am not ready to jump on the .400 bandwagon quite yet. In a way, it makes sense. Why would druez just attack the company his wife works for? I think this matter is beyond being swept under the rug and answers will have to forthcome.

Why did he go nutty, create false accounts, and troll (poorly) the board for several weeks, get banned, and then whine about it on the 400 boards? The guy loves creating conflict.

The "?" at the end of "I have chats and emails?" gave me the impression that you weren't sure you had anything like that.

I'm not an attorney or anything, but if I were you, I'd shut up for a while and seek sound legal counsel.

I think Arlie is a great guy, same thing with Gary and Adam and Scott and Farrah and Angie. I have no problems with any of them or .400. This was something between me and Joe alone. I used to play SW Galaxies with him and he got me and a friend of mine to post stuff here and on .400 forums. Yes, there are other people he contacted not just me and they aren't reviewers.

If Joe wants to take me to court so be it, I could care less. I know what I said is true and other people know it as truth also and I would be happy to prove it in a court of law.

The reason I've been lurking is because I'm finding out about this just the same as you are. I had no idea about any of this until it came to light this morning. Im going to reserve judgment until some facts are shown here but I will say this. If, and note I said IF, if Jason is telling the truth I would be extremely dissapointed in Joe because I do not believe that is a proper way to conduct business. If on the other hand Jason has fabricated this story then that tells me all I need to know about him.

Bottom line, I'm here looking for facts and info. I believe Jason when he says this is something between him and Joe and that nobody else at .400 knows about or had anything to do with. Whether what he says happened really happened, that still remains to be seen. Please don't lump everyone else, including his wife who does fantastic work, into this dispute. Wish I had more insight I could offer but Im just as clueless as anyone else here as to what is going on with this.

When I was reading THE thread, Gary, Arlie, Joe, Marc Vaughn and Markus were all reading it as well. We could have had a great discussion on game design theory. Instead, we go conspiracy theory.

I think we all know druez's wife is innoncent here and if she is removed from her position because of her husband's stupidty that would be a shame. However, it could go to motive as to why Joe thought he could yank around druez. So all joking aside, I think she could prove a critical role in the fiasco.

Here's the likely possibilities:

1.) Druez is really being an honest and upstanding guy. Maybe a tad naive, but honorable nonetheless. Chicks dig that. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we give him the benefit of the doubt here and assume this is the case for now...

2.) Druez is a pathological liar and all-purpose moron. I've known lots of hot chicks that married assholes, so, again, I'm not ruling this out - but I don't see this as being very likely.

3.) Druez AND his wife are just plain wierd - which, is possible if one pokes around that website with the photos and assumes that they might be taking the role-playing a tad too seriously. Hey, I've seen hot chicks at Star Trek conventions and SCA gatherings... anything is possible.

4) the pictures of "Mason" and his wife were found online somewhere

5) maybe he's cocky and funny

I have no idea about the veracity of your newest allegations, but they are very serious ones and true or not you should take my advice this time and stop posting altogether.
