I guess I'll step up and get things going on this.

The first league match is tonight at 9:30pm EDT, and will be on my server, which will be posted here. The four basic cars will be used, and I'll be doing a mix of 8 tracks with varying lap lengths. Points setup will be 6 5 4 3 2 1, or something along those lines (depending on how many players).

There will be no limit on players - if we have a lot, I may break things up into heats or something.

I'll record the final points results, and next week we can figure out how we want to do cumulative scoring.

But tonight, 9:30pm EDT, server to be posted in this thread.

RPI: in the game directory there is a log file, wi believe this is overwritten during each new session. The easiest way to track information will be to save that log file to a new directory after each game session. it includes the conversations on the chat server as well as all the race and cup points results.

My initial thoughts on tracking standings are as follows:

After we have 5 sessions or something set up, I'll take the average finish of the best 3 sessions among those 5... that way people can miss a night or two and not be punished at all.

If people could post whether they expect to attend it might be cool, so we have an idea whether this will actually go down or not.

I just played a few moments and man do I suck, but i'll be there.

I like that idea.

I'll probably do a Monday/Thursday setup or something and take maybe even only the best 50% of finishes, that way people only have to show up one night regularly to do well. And it reward people who show up more, as their bad results will get erased.

Note: I am willing to alter the start time by potentially up to 2 hours if that makes things easier on anyone.

I won't be home and able to play until about 10:45 p.m eastern time and we had had a pretty good group at about that time last night. I hope to be able to race in the league but I will understand certainly if the earlier time is better for most :)

RPI, ifwhoever is hosting can send you their log file of the events they run, could you then use that in the calculations? That way people could play pickup matches almost anytime and send the results to you.

This would work only in groups of 4 or more I think, since people playing only 1 other driver would be constantly getting 1st or 2nd place finishes.

I am ok with 9:30 tonight, but I have to get some sleep for school tomorrow. I crashed hard today afte being up late playing this stupid game for the past few nights =)

I don't think this is your IP number.

I think thats your local address. You need to setup your router to allow incoming connections on the port that slider uses. Then you need to tell us your main internet address.
