Prayer Request - Jeanne
Im starting to feel guilty about these prayer requests cuz so far they've been working and other people get blasted. Anyways, here's another one but this time it'll be a little different. This prayer is that the cane turns its ass around and heads off to the North east and the deep deep ocean and dies!!! anyways, prayers are appreciated, even TrentGreen's....unless he hates fish too.
|
I will bump this repeatedly until we get some prayers for this. It has worked in the past and I will not let it slip into the FOFC neverland.
|
Are you saying that unless people resond to you, you don't think they are praying about this?

GrantDawg, I would tread lightly here. Flasch's god has thrust two hurricanes on all sorts of innocent people and Flasch's behalf. He is an angry and vengenful god. |

Hurricanes are very white bread, aren't they?

no, Im just trying to keep the same routine as its worked. Kinda a Turk Wendell thing here. |

What I figured. :) |
Sorry, I don't pray for liberals. ;)
|
So do you think God loves you for wishing a death storm to people?
|
Quote:
huh? |
it makes me sick that you'd pray for harm to others just so you'd be saved from a storm
|
read my prayer again.....i said push it out to sea.
|
Who didn't read the whole original post:
a) Noop b) George W Bush c) Both of the above d) none of the above and they're both super witty |
Quote:
Does that not mean he prayed for harm to others in the past? If they've been working and other people get blasted, that must mean thats what he prayed for.. otherwise they wouldn't have worked. |
Quote:
Wow...most stupid shit I've ever read... |
Doesn't mean that at all. Means he prayed that he and his loved ones and property wouldn't get blasted. Then the hurricanes missed him. Then they hit others. Now he feels a little guilty because the prayers "worked" but the unintended consequence of damage to others came to fruition.
So this time he's specifying that not only should the storm not hit him, it shouldn't hit anyone. |

Edited and deleted since it truly doesnt need a response. |
Someone get Karen Hughes in here to explain what the President really meant.
|
Dude are people really so naive to believe that prayers or god controlls hurricanes?
Hello this is the year 2004 not the dark ages. |
Quote:
nope, but Im not testing it to find out. Have you watched the news? |
Quote:
I did read it but I was making a reference to the other threads he had made. I didn't know God granted all of Flasch's prayers because if God does then Flasch pray I win the lotto. |
cant waste em
|
So that explains why the mayor of Pensacola, Florida was on the news this morning cursing about FOFC.
I had originally thought he was hoping for TCY 2 this week, and was just a little disappointed. |
ROFL :)

I really hope Jim's next game isn't a political sim.

I agree.

I'd pray, but I'm too busy - I'm still not finished thanking God for all the touchdowns he let me score in High School.

Brillant! :D |
NOAA's current projecton has it hitting Hilton Head.
Of course, as little as 4 days ago, Tallahassee was supposed to take a direct hit from Ivan. These people are like stock analysts - they don't predict so much as explain what just happened. |
Anyone seen the latest NOAA map on Jeanne? It has it going through the Bahamas, either on its way to the Carolinas or maybe out to sea, then as if it realizes it might miss the Florida coast (or maybe it read this thread and wants to have some fun with Flasch :) ), it suddenly takes a LEFT turn and heads just south of Jacksonville.

No, I just have an aversion to things that are "left." |
Evil plan 14, step 147 - place Japanese Kamazi prayer in Flasch's prayer book.
On the bright side, the Chinese will not be invading any time soon. |

This thread has me believing that this might be our honorable Prez in the flesh. |
is it too early to say that this worked....again?
|
I think getting 100 people to stand on the coast and blow air to sea would have worked just as well.
|
i can't stand these prayer requests. why don't you pray for it to be sunny all year long instead of praying for the storm to not hit you (thus making it likely to hit someone else, but as long as you don't know who it hits it makes it ok, right?)
|
So I guess the previous hurricanes hit where they did because those people didn't pray as much as you did. Or maybe they weren't smart enough to start a thread on an internet forum.
Give me a break. To me, this type of thing trivializes God and religion. Guess what, if there is such a thing as God, he created the hurricane in the first place. And you asking him to direct it away from you, seems pretty damn selfish is you ask me. If you want to pray, how about praying for God to give strength to those who have already had there lives literally turned upside down by these storms? |
Quote:
Yeah, but isn't that what liberals do? ;) |
Quote:
Ridiculous that I have to quote myself to show you, yes you, how stupid youre being. If it works? who knows, but at least, the above happened..its going out to sea not to affect anyone. If you slam a prayer, regardless, as long as it's not intended to harm another person, IMO youre an ass....no matter your party affiliation....ASS |
no, we ignore God, athletes trivialize it.
|
Quote:
unless of course people actually pray...imagine that. |
What's the point of coming into this thread and shitting on the guy's prayer requests?
|
Quote:
Thank you. and today I was thinking about this and thought, "How does that guy(s) know that prayer does NOT work!? I certainly am not going to tell someone that I should know what does and does not work in regards to faith or prayer, how can he?" Than I thought, "oh, who cares. prayer obviously doesnt affect him or her so it doesnt matter anyways." All prayers are appreciated anyways. |
54 dead in Haiti, 150 missing from Jeanne. I don't think you're having a good season, Flasch.
|
Anyone seen the forecasted track on this puppy today? Bizarre!
http://intellicast.com/Local/USNatio...=none&pid=none |
I doubt Flasch cares....
|
Quote:
That's pretty low, Noop. Do you know Flasch personally? Can you read minds? Ever thought that maybe it bothers him when people die in a tragedy regardless of who it is? I think he spelled it out pretty clear that he wanted Jeane to go harmlessly out to sea. But that's what can you expect from a self-absorbed child. |
Quote:
I dont need to know him. He got what he prayed for... simple... also I don't want to respond wrong to the self-absorbed comment so offer up your proof. Also did he ever stop to think if it didnt hit him it would hit someone else? Also my grammar is to bad for me to read minds... |
Quote:
Quote:
I guess you only read the comments about you. |
Quote:
I read his comments.... |
Well, it was too early. God bless anyone who is hurt or killed or affected by any natural disaster including this one. You must be a moron to think that anyone wants someone else to be killed or hurt....at least I dont believe that about people. anyways, its a shame and I hope that everyone is able to recover from these things.
Noop, should I say a prayer that it hits me to save everyone else or do what I did? wish the cane dissolved in the middle of the ocean. Are you a moron? |
Quote:
You got what you prayed for.... |
you must not read english well....It said go out to sea and not affect anyone. You must be a moron.
|
I only dug this thread up because I thought the new track of Jeanne was interesting. Not so everyone could pile on Flasch. Give it a rest.
|
Quote:
Again you got what you prayed for.... asshole. |
Are you saying Haitians are nobodies?
|
Quote:
Nope. He got what he prayed for.... |
This rock keeps away Tigers.
Really? You don't see any Tigers do you? Lisa, I'd like to buy your rock. |
"GONAIVES, Haiti - The death toll across Haiti from the weekend deluges brought by Tropical Storm Jeanne rose to 691, with about 600 of them in Gonaives, and officials said they expected to find more dead and estimated tens of thousands of people were homeless."

It's been a couple of years since I took a course in propositional logic, but let me give this a less-than-technical shot. 1. Flasch prayed that the storm would hit nobody. 2. The storm hit nobody (since "he got what he prayed for"). 3. The storm hit Haitians. 4. Haitians are, by this informal proof, nobody, since statements 2 and 3 prove that the words "nobody" and "Haitians" are interchangeable. Or am I doing something wrong here? |
Your reading to much into it... he got what he prayed for... it didn't hit J-Ville I know he ask that it blow away at sea but it didn't... I feel bad for those haitians that died so to infer I think of them as nothing is an offense to me. I know he did not personally make the hurricane hit those places unless of course he is God typing on a message board. Also Pumpy your logic is very odd...
|
Perhaps my logic doesn't make sense, but I don't see how that could be the case. Where's the fallacy? I don't deny that there might be an error, but could someone point it out to me?

For this is the first time ive ever been seriously tempted to add someone to my wignore list. So you admit that I prayed it would hit nobody....then seem to relish in the fact that it hit and killed hundreds. Either you have a twisted way of getting under people's skin or youre using the death of hundreds to attack. Either way, its sick. The bolded part - So did i or did I not get what I prayed for, you muddy the waters there. this seems rather reidiculous no? to be arguing about a natural DISASTER that killed hundreds....but choose your arguments the way you want. Im through with this one. |
