Honestly, it all depends on if I am social drinking, or looking to get trashed.
If I am social drinking Amaretto Sour Or Cap and Coke If I am looking to get trashed Black Widow (Shot of yager with a triple sec floater) Liquid Cocaine (1/4 Jager, 1/4 Rum, 1/4 Vodka, 1/4 Gin) Cherry Bomb (Redbull with a Raspberry Vodka shot bombed, for those who like cough syrup, this taste close to Robo) |

if that makes you feel good..you can say your girlfriend drinks it..if you dont want to admit :) i love Beer, but man i love mix drinks too..i just put the mix drink in front of my girlfriend, but i am the one actually drinking it...that a nice way to cover yourself and still be maucho :) |

And what's wrong with those drinks? It's not like they're Cosmos or daquiris... |

Gimme some Gin and Tonic.....with some beer...and some shots of Jaeger in between and I'm all good to go. Except in the morning.

Give me a vodka tonic, jack and coke, or a Long Island Iced Tea
|
Long Island Iced Tea or Bloody Mary, pretty much exclusively.
|
|
Scotch with a Generous splash of room temperature water. Ice and Scotch just shouldn't mix.
Bombay Saphire Gin and a nice dry Vermouth Martini. This is what I drink when I'm on a mission to find oblivion. Next Weeks christmas party will be an exception, because it is being held at a restaurant that serves a large compliment of Single Malt Scotch. Rum and Coke Seven and Seven Oh and who can pass on Mai Tai |
Vodka and Red Bull
Vodka and Cranberry Juice Colorado Bulldog Hurricane |

My mom loves Mai Tais... |
Cuba Libre

i'll take
-Stoly Vanilla and Ginger Ale -Kettle One and cranberry juice -Irish Car Bombs -shot of chilled SoCo and lime -shot of chilled Black Haus i pregame with Corona beer, sometimes if i wanna keep it a lowkey nite i'll just drink beer (cheaper too). i don't use bottle openers either when i pregame, they're for sissies. i open them with my teeth. it's great at parties. i open all my friend's non-twistoff beer bottles with my cuz we're usually too lazy to get a bottle opener. |
Vodka Tonic (Ketel One or Gray Goose)
Dirty Martini Top Shelf Long Island |

Maker's Mark & Ginger Ale
Black Dragon = Peppermint Schnapps + Coke Colorado Bulldog = White Russian + splash of Coke (damn thing tastes like a Coke float) |
Quote:
It's funny that you mention that, I had one for the first time last Wednesday. It was called something else I think, but it was pretty good. I usually go for a nice Black Russian every now and again. I also like a whiskey sour (those are GREAT when you are already hammered) and vodka tonic. |

how you make a colorado bulldog? you have the measurements and ingredients. how much coke and milk to add? thanks |

Hm... for some reason or another, I've always wanted a "signature" drink that I get whenever drinking, however rare that may be, but I've just never been that thrilled with the taste of many drinks. I think my primary problem is that I'm looking for something that actually tastes good rather than looking to get smashed but that's not going to change. Anyone got some ideas for something that doesn't taste too strongly of alcohol (I mean, really, it's not that great of a taste) but has some in it and actually tastes *good*?

Thanks to the aforementioned website http://www.webtender.com/db/drink/1267 * 1 shot Vodka * 1 shot Kahlua * Milk * 1 splash Coca-Cola I have a strong tendency to free-pour anything I make, so I can only assume that those measurements are right, they seem pretty close. As for the milk, a couple of shots & a splash sounds about right for about a "rocks glass" size to me. |
Irish Car Bomb, with a full pint of guinness on stand by.
Repeat every 4 pints or so. And if you want to harken back to the college fraternity days, I'm sure many of you will remember similar recipes as this one: 1 Gatorade Cooler 1 Broom 10-20 pounds, sugar 40 packets, kool aid 1 bottle Everclear 1 bottle Rum 1 bottle Gin 2 bottles Vodka Lots of Ice Place alcohol and kool aid in dispenser. Mix foul concotion with broom handle, bonus points awarded if handle is painted, extra bonus points if broom has no paint on it once brewing complete. All participents in the Punch Brewing process must take one sip of this, before adding water/sugar. Don't ask why, just do it. Start adding water and sugar. After original 10 pounds of sugar in, begin adding more sugar until one cannot taste the alcohol, continuing to stir with broom coated in lead-based paint. Fill cooler up most of the way, save room for load of ice. Give to women. Get laid. |
If you're gonna drink, do it right.

Jack and Coke, and a screwdriver.

So many yummy concoctions to choose from!
Cosmopolitans Mojitos (mostly in the summer) Long Beach Iced Tea and my favorite...a shot of vodka! |
dola,
WTF am I doing replying to this thread, when it is Friday night and I'm in Miami!!???!! Screw you guys, I'm heading down to South Beach to get my mojitos! |
Amaretto Sour..yeah, it's weak. But, then...I don't particularly like the taste of alcohol.
I can get one of these, hold one for hours (unless they're actually made well and then..I'll down a few) and people will think I'm being a socialite, rather than just drinking soda like normal. |

Any of these drinks come with a diamond?
I like all drinks really. It really depends on what I feel like. Also, it seems mixed drinks are more acceptable in our society by men? |
I still make fun of guys ordering fru fru drinks, thank you very much. :)
Drink the Guinness, lads! A fine pint of Ireland's best! |
Quote:
Testify ! There's really only two kinds of beer when you get right down to it -- Guinness ... and everything else. |
I don't trust any alcoholic beverage I can see through.

Gin and tonic

If this is tequila/tabasco, I'll second this - much better than plain ol' tequila. Also (ok, some of these may be girlie, some may be shots): blue Hawaiian Alabama slammer Vokda/cran Bloody Mary (love love love bloody mary mix) kamikaze mudslide rum & coke (well, rum and about anything) Too bad I haven't had many of these for years... |
Quote:
I knew there was a reason I support you in HT. |
In the club, a (Bombay) Sapphire and Tonic.
At home, a Manhattan mixed with Knob Creek and sweet vermouth. Mmm. |
Kudos to the folks who know their good gin.
Sapphire is the shit. Outside of the occaisonal shot of vodka or jameson, 'bout the only hard booze I can take. |
I'm in the same boat as you, sterling, I prefer flavour over the sheer heading-toward-oblivion aspect of it. In the rare occasion I do drink (beyond the glass or two of wine with dinner), I usually go for a B-51. I never even knew it had its own name, I just knew it as a variation of B-52 that I like better since hazelnut goes better with the coffee/cream flavour than Grand Marnier to me.
Oh, and I can't stand the taste of beer. :) |
Red Bull and Vodka...delicious, and even better when this expensive drink is FREE in Vegas.
Cap and Coke...and all other rums and coke. Vodka and 7-up...splash of sour mix...tastes suspicously like lemon-lime Gatorade, and yes...you can drink it just as fast Scarlet Cider...the name for this cranberry juice and Green Apple twist vodka drink was born after the following drunken conversation with a friend... Quote:
And the legend was born... By the way...I ordered a "Bay Breeze" at the bar last night for this girl I was talking to. I could feel the burning of the bartender's eyes through me until I pointed out the girl who I ordered it for. |

Is this different than a Long Island Iced Tea? Or...how we reference it at this one place who happens to make these drinks very potent...Strong Island? |
Jack and Coke
If it's a VT tailgate, replace Jack with Wild Turkey. |
dola -
The best "mix" drink is a Black & Tan - bottom half Harp, top half Guinness. I could also go for a Black Castle - bottom half Newcastle, top half Guinness. |
Quote:
only difference is long beach has cranberry juice in it , instead of coke. |
Baltimore Zoo - That webtender site definitely doesn't make this one right, it's in a 16 oz. glass, 10-11 liquors, and topped with a shot of Guinness.
Car Bomb Red Bull & Vodka |
Vodka & Cranberry is my favorite if im not drinking beer
7 & 7 is pretty good Sea Breeze if im sitting by a pool but tonight its beer |
I should probably drink more, a lot of this stuff looks really good.
|
I'm a fiend for the Bloody Mary every sunday morning as I watch football. Outside of that though, I don't really drink mixed drinks.
Kudos to VPI -- Black & Tans are amazing and I love Guiness by itself as well. |
Vodka and 7 or a rye and ginger.
Of course, that's if the beer isn't going down well or there are high-ball specials that night. |
Black and Tans are good. I also forgot about a Dr. Pepper - shot of amaretto dropped into a mug of beer and then chugged.
|
Quote:
Great call...forgot about that. A nice variation in beer pong to make the game tougher is to drop a shot of amaretto into a cup, and then fill it to almost the top with beer. Make that the front cup. Gotta have just the right amount of loft to sink it. |
Quote:
Hey Noop, I'll have to remember that place for next time... Where is it? I stopped by Mangos and Crobar, but both of those places were out of control, even for a Friday night. And the mojitos were all quite tasty :) |
Quote:
milk and kahlua (sp?) jaeg-bomb Blue Gatorade + Everclear Admittedly, I'm not a big expert on mixes, as I really only get liquor on special occaisons, it's usually beer every time for me. For instance, until reading this thread I didn't know a White Russian included my aforementioned milk/kahlua. It'd be nice if you guys had your drinks and then listed what's in them, so I get some ideas.. By the way, are you guys serious when you try to suggest any kind of gin mix? Bombay is disgusting, Tangueray is ok, I think I've had one other type before.. for that matter I'm not much of a Vodka fan, too many instances of drinking Diluted Vodka back in the day when it was the only thing we could get our hands on. Give me some rum or whiskey and I'll be a'ight. ![]() |
dola - that webtender website lists "Jello Shots" as the #1 mix all time.
Ya gotta be kidding me. I remember nearly a year ago eating like 25 jello shots and not feeling anything. I need to try those again, I guess, maybe someone just sucked at making them. |
Quote:
depends how they are made shorty. a couple weekends a go i had several and they knocked me on my ass. Of course my semi-insane friend made them so i wouldn't be surprised if he used all vodka and no water |
Anybody ever had watermelons soaked in tequilla-nastiest things ever, but they get you drunk real quick.
|
similar but less potent than hairy buffalo, fruit soaked everclear
|
I sure hope your academic advisor doesn't visit FOFC...
|
who cares, i already got caught drinking there.
besides, i've been home for over 2 weeks now. |
Oh, well that's different then.
(Home for two weeks already? What kind of a holiday vacation do you have, anyway?? I swear I had finals as late as 3 days before Christmas.) |
Quote:
Close to a Flaming Dr Pepper. There's something else mixed in with the Amaretto (151?), the shot is lit, dropped in the beer, then chugged. Good shit. |
6 weeks off, back Jan. 3

I love that "sissy" drink. Very easy to get drunk off those. I also like tequila shots. |
Rye & 7

Yes, but not with Tequila, with Vodka. Great Picnic drink. You get a watermelon, buy a decent bottle of vodka, cut a circle in the watermelon, and dump the vodka in, and let it sit overnight int he fridge in a pan (will leak everywhere). Then when its time for the Family BBQ or picnic, bust out the watermelon. Some pieces are very strong. In college we had a thing called Jungle Juice, and I'm sure it everyone has had it and probably called it by different names, but it was Grain Alcohol and Koolaid mixed in a huge tub/keg/container, etc. If mixed well, you can't taste the grain but it gets you absolutely hammered. |
I just had this last night, we just called it Superjuice, maybe there is a better or actual name for it:
1 liter of cheap ass Meijer Vodka Case of Nati Light 2 liter of Minute Maid Lemonade We put it in a big jug and mixed. Sounds nasty. You don't know how skeptical I was. I thought we were wasting. First, I hate cheap vodka, and I hate Nati Light.. BUT It tasted like sour lemonade, no sting or burn, but for all intents and purposes, compared to what I was expecting beer/vodka mix to taste like (I mean, mixing anything with beer? COME ON!), it was actually pretty damn good, and I recommend it for 4-5 people (we actually made 3 rounds of it). |
I heart vodka...
|
i've hsdd `13 nati lights

Can anybody tell me the difference between a Bloody Mary and a Caesar? I haven't had either since March but we were reminiscing about our SB trip to Canada and while trying a Caesar, I asked the waitress what the difference was between the two. Her response, verbatim:
"A bloody mary has tomato (tuh-may-toh) sauce, and a caesar has tomato (tuh-MAH-toh) sauce." I was like uhh.. potato, potahto. She had to be pulling my leg, right? |
I'm not sure, but during the search for an answer for you I found this charming drink...
Bleeding Diarrhea Beer, Chocolate Syrup, Eggs, Tomato Juice, Beef Bouillon |
Fuck. I just tried the "Prairie Wildfire" or whatever it's called. Sauza Tequila and plain Tabasco was what was in my cupboards. My lips are still burning 10 minutes later. Holy Christmas morning. This is the "manliest" drink I've ever had.

Dude. She totally wanted to suck it. |
