NFL Week 15
Christmas comes early today. Harrington is out with the flu. Enter McMahon....
|
Quote:
Really? Wow. Wow. I wonder if he's really got the flu or their pulling shananigans to cover Joey and let McMahon play. Conspiracy!! Either way, I'm just happy to actually be able to watch the game! I hate the Vikings. I would love to beat them, but it wont happen. The Lions are poop. |
oh well.... I guess Harrington will start :(
|
Kitna starts, cool, I like both QBs so Carson's injury isn't bothering me.
Interesting fact: The combo of Johnson/Housh leads the NFL in receiving yards. |
Cowboys suck, but amazingly they aren't losing six minutes in...
|
Kitna with a nasty spinmove!
|
the Lions piss me off....
|
Quote:
Would you rather watch a blowout or a slow murderizing? :D |
Quote:
I love my Lions :) |
Denver choking down the stretch once more.
|
Quote:
I'd rather Dallas win actually. :) Have to say something while I can... |
TO just went down with an injury. He refused to be carted off by the trainers.
|
If TO is hurt bad we are in trouble. :(
|
Jermaine Wiggins has been great this year, but that penalty kills his play.
The Vikes need a TD here. If they win this one I like their chances of winning the division. |
Quote:
Damn. |
Thank you Joey Harrington.
|
Quote:
Reports are saying high ankle sprain. He's going to try playing again after getting retaped. It's okay, Terrell. I won't mind you sitting out the rest of the game. :D |
Thank You Daunte Culpepper
|
The REAL Roy Williams picked off McNabb! :D
|
If we lose to Dallas...................grrrrrrr.
|
TO will not be going back into the game. Trainers say he's done! :D
|
Why I love Sunday Ticket, even though the game is lopsided I'm enjoying watching this "snow-bowl" in Cleveland. :D
|
Toddy Pinkston should probably be playing behind a desk. Much safer for him.
|
Quote:
I'm glad I jumped on the under when I heard about how much snow they'd be getting. |
Quote:
 |
The Jets can only be helping the NFC wild card hopefuls. They're laying a beat down on the 'Hawks right now.
|
Nice return by Frazier. About the only good play he's made all day.
|
Quote:
Yeah, I'm liking what I see from them. Now if Arizona and Tampa Bay can do some magic today, I'll be a happy camper. |
I heart N-Beezy
|
I don't know how you guys can do it.
I rarely watch football on TV (unlike my wife and son) but I decided to watch the 2nd half of the Donkeys/Chiefs game (go KC). All I see is a few seconds of football between 12 commercials. In the last 20 minutes, there must have been 15 minutes of commercials. I hate commercials and now I remember why I don't watch TV anymore.  |
Agh!! Missed field goal by Cundiff!
|
Quote:
Go Bolts!!!!!!!!!! Part of the reason why I wanted to watch the KC game was to catch glimpses of the snow game but nooooooooooo....they show millions of commercials instead. |
I wonder if anyone correctly predicted the AFC West's standings in the preseason.
|
Quote:
I don't either, but I can see how it wasn't worth challenging by Detroit. If they were to lose, they're down to one timeout and no challenges until the two minute warning. Best case scenario puts Minnesota at the 6, which although they could have scored, I don't think it's worth the risk/reward. Plus I have Burleson on my fantasy team going against Culpepper, so it's important that if Culpepper throws a TD it goes to Burleson. :D |
Quote:
that was an excellent catch and run.... although I don't think he was in at the end of the run.... |
Quote:
man. you all know what happens next. The entire team goes down... |
Cool, I may get the end of Eagles/Cowboys AND Vikings/Lions if things move quickly enough.
|
I wish Harrington would get the "flu" every week :)
|
Quincy Morgan has a bad drop.
Vinny interception. Game over. Eagles clinch homefield advantage. |
Jermaine Wiggins and Moe Williams are two guys on the Vikes offense who typically won't do anything amazing, but they just offer consistant performances and are they to make plays when they're needed. With all the guys they've lost to injury I don't think they Vikings would be where they are if it weren't for those two.
|
Way to blow another game, Vinny!!!
|
The Lions are putting together an impressive drive here...
|
whoa. 1st and goal from the 1 for the lions. 12 seconds left.
|
touchdown Lions!
|
Harrington has been impressive here.
|
My prayers have been answered.
Stupid out of order posting. This should obviously have appeared following the Williams TD, right when the snap on PAT was no good. :D :D :D |
OH MAN!
|
OMG
(bad snap on extra point) |
Quote:
I do something else when the commercials come on. Like type on FOFC. |
oh fucking my.... I can't believe what I'm seeing with Harrington
|
TD Williams
|
WOW!!!
|
unreal...unreal
|
?????????????????
|
LOL
|
Almost 3 minutes elapsed in the Saints game and their defense has 3 penalties.
|
I was JUST gonna give some props to Williams for today's effort. Then, I looked up...haha
|
I think I'm going to vomit.
|
Quote:
You hate the Vikings too? ;) |
oddly enough, if the snapper had gotten up and throw to someone, it would have counted, since he wasn't down by contact since he didn't have control of the ball. but hey, it's the lions. i would have went for two to begin with, to make sure of getting home earlier.
|
er, i mean the holder
|
so much for the mystique of lambeau
|
What a great play by Sharper. That was one of the stranger football plays you'll ever see.
|
does someone have to win the NFC West?
|
Barring a huge comeback, we're just 19 minutes of football away from knowing for sure that the NFC will be represented by an 8-8 or worse team.
And also knowing for sure that at least 2 AFC teams will miss the playoffs at at least 8-8. |
Dola.
And Kerry Collins is trashing my fantasy team's hopes of reaching our bowl game... |
Quote:
Kerry Collins is helping me win my first round matchup. :) |
wow... dirty dirty player by donovan darius.
|
Quote:
You are a little late on this comment. The Packers defense blows this year much more then last year. Favre is tryingto damn hard and has made some of the worst throws since his first couple years. This year has been the most frustrating season I can remember. 1-4 followed by a pretty nice winning streak, and now they are going to back into the playoffs stinking up the joint because the NFC only has 2 good teams and one semi-good one. The last few weeks I have seen Favre react to things in a way he usually has not done. You can see how frustrated he is, and it would not suprise me if this is his last season. And as I type this, Darius needs a fine for that clothesline of Furgeson, that was horrible!! |
Zounds...Favre is looking bad against my Jags.
-Anxiety |
Haslett coached Saints teams are officially the most confusing teams in the history on the NFL. Surely they can't make the playoffs? i thought they might sneak in before the year started, but after looking so bad at parts in the season, it would be quite a miracle now if they win the next two games and pull it off.
|
Man, great INT. Driver had it and it was just ripped away.
Is it a TD? Did he have possession before it being ripped away? |
Quote:
This is insanely close, it can go either way. Since it was ruled an INT i think it stands unfortunetly |
I can agree with the call... but wow, it was close.
|
Quote:
Agreed. I think the whole thing depended on Driver's second foot, which I think was not really close to being down yet when the ball was getting taken away. |
Closing in on 900 passing yards total in Oakland. I'm not watching the game, but have the officials taken the new rules a step farther and demanded that cornerbacks play with their arms behind their backs?
I thought the bumping had gone too far last season and welcomed the changes. But I'm seeing much too much inconsistency out there. |
Quote:
yeah. His reaction to the flag was very funny too. I look forward to seeing the replay again later. Packers pull within 3... And yeah, the NFC will officially have a wild card team at 8-8 (with 7-9 still a possibility). |
Favre hitting the ref with the ball right now was hilarious. I needed some comic relief right now....
|
Loose ball on a kickoff in Lambeau, no gift to decide the game this week.
Vikes win at home against Green Bay and they'll clinch the division. |
GB has to go for 2 here. There's no logical reason not too.
And that Favre thing was hilarious... he looked so scared after he hit him. |
so close...
|
FWIW, that game really meant very little to Green Bay. It's all about Friday's game.
Atlanta has now clinched the #2 seed, and has 2 meaningless games left (as does Philly). |
Quote:
:( |
Quote:
The only way it means something is if they lose to the Vikings and then the Vikings were to lose to Washington and Green Bay were to beat Chicago. Now in this situation the Vikings would win the division on common opponents tie breaker, if they were to have beat Jacksonville they would win the division in this case. |
It means a lot to the players, and to a lesser extent their fans. Next week is a must win now to win the division, and a must win in Minnesota is not a good place for the Packers to have one of those.
Although the Packers are pretty much in the playoffs no matter what I think, but what is important now is to go in on a high note, which they definetly are not on right now. Obviously this defense couldn't help win a championship, but a win in the playoffs would be nice. |
Quote:
That didn't come out quite like I meant it. I didn't really mean that they didn't care about the game, I meant that the loss wasn't really all that big of a deal when you look at the big picture. Ultimately, the division was probably coming down to Friday's game no matter what. |
Quote:
Be quiet, Jim. That game put me into the second week of the playoffs. Finally, Jerry Porter paid off. |
Quote:
Its like an FOF4 game ![]() |
Quote:
Yeah I understand what you mean about Friday's game, but the impact of this game could be more then just the w/l record. Losing at home to a florida team in below zero wind chill, that can't be good for the confidence...... |
Quote:
Dont they do that 3 or 4 times a year these days? :D |
It feels like the Colts are pulling away now. The next drive is huge for Baltimore.
|
Quote:
This year they are around that....not as bad as the St. Louis Cardinals will be starting next week though... |
Manning is one away.
That drive showed by Manning is the best QB in the NFL. He completely owned the "best" defense in the league. |
Quote:
Today Dallas learns why Quincy Morgan was hated by most Cleveland fans. The guy drops way to many damn passes |
This colts/ravens game has been pretty good.
|
lol. I love that Dungy brought Grammatica in to handle kickoff duties.
|
About to be 20-3 now.
|
Good game so far... that 4th down play where Jamal Lewis plucked the tipped ball out of the air and ran 8 yards, bowling over a Colt in the process, to get the 1st down was great!
|
So do we get to see Romo or Henson next week?
Anyone but Vinny, Bill... |

. However I started TO over Santana Moss.... |
