FOFC: Posters From The Same Town
 

I've noticed that it seems like a lot of FOFC'ers who post regularly are close in proximity to each other. Some from bigger areas then others. For example, Ice and I are both from Berkley, Michigan, which has a max of 15,000 people living here. And I can swear to it that someone else on here is from Berkley, or has lived here.

So are there any other occurances where people on here are from the same town/city of an even smaller population?

The coincidences life brings. Good stuff.

Calis was here in Utah for a bit....but then he moved....right now...I don't think there is anyone else on here in Utah (Unless BYU14 is)

Good number of us from DFW, though I'm the only one from Lewisville. But Sach, Lathum, and Cap are all in the next town over, Carrollton.

RA used to live in El Paso, but not the same time I was there. And of course, there was no one else from Abilene when I lived/posted there...

I currently live in Kannapolis, NC. In the softball coach thread from a week ago I believe someone said they were from Concord, which is like 5 miles away.

I often hear The Afoci's high-pitched mating call at night.

I'm about 40 miles down the road in Fergus Falls, MN.

I think Honolulu Blue is near me, and there are a few others not too far from me. Quiksand is probably about 30 minutes from me.

I'm the only one in Keene - but obviously there's a couple other NH people around. Jim's about an hour away in one direction, and fido (wherever he went off to) is about an hour in another direction. If I contributed anything to this community, that would be quite the football sim power triangle...instead it's more like a power line or something.

I know there are a few of us who are currently posting in New Brunswick, NJ, but we're originally from other places.

I live in Fort Worth myself, and I was born in Abilene but haven't lived there in 15 years

I believe Taco lives here in Durham. I think gstelmick lives in Cary, which is the next town over from us.

There's an Albany guy (Flame Eater) but he's never posted anything about his locale.

I'll be spending a night in East Brunswick NJ next week (and Cary NC for that matter) but I don't think that counts

I've been to SirFozzie's house in Franklin, MA, but never met him.

EaglesFan27, LloydLungs, and I are all in the New Orleans area, but New Orleans is a pretty big city compared to some of these other places that have been mentioned here. I know albionmoonlight is from New Orleans, but I gather that he isn't in the city anymore. Any other NOLA folks around here?

EasyMac and I are in the same town, and Shaun Sullivan is as well (basically...just over the Coop bridge). None of us have ever met...that we know of. ;)

Warhammer and one another guy are from Memphis. indoorsoccersim and Pumpy also have close ties.

Fritz and I live in two cities on the western, less populated (but more than 15,000) side of the Hampton Roads, VA area...

Beyond that I'm originally from the DC Metro Area, and there are tons from there...

I know Fozzie is in New England, Telle and I are also, and I am sure I heard a good number of other folks from NE also.

I live right in Capitol Hill. About 3 or 4 blocks from Union Station. Nice area.

I know Cam is somewhere in the Virginia-side of the Greater DC Metro area and Terpkristin is on the Maryland side. And, you're right, quite a few others as well

nah - just driving through from NH to NC, and going to stay there on the way down. that just seemed like a decent place to stop (just wanted to clear NY). wont be sightseeing at all - just a place to sleep.

Me and Cap live in Carrollton TX, we've never met but we both spend alot of time stalking Jeeber at Olive Garden

Tobias worked in my hometown...though I'm not IN my hometown, and haven't been since I started posting here. Franklinnoble lives up around there too, if I recall correctly. Others off the top of my head -- RFUS, Sharpie...hrm, I can't think of anything else. Other than that, I'm pretty much closest to the SoCal group -- Sack, Chief Rum, etc.

Ragone and I probably live 10-15 minutes away from each other tops. I can't remember exactly where he lives, although we often tell stories about going to the same places. I drive by where he works on my way to work. We should hit The Landing in Liberty one night for the weekly poker tournament. :)

I reside in a place where a lot of posters spent some small portion of their lives slogging their way to a degree. Matter of fact, I think a couple of them are doing it now, though I think they've gone home with the semester ending recently. I want to say Anxiety is up the way in Ypsi from me. There are also a number of others scattered over SE Michigan, though they are too far away to be bothered with. ;)

Ooh, and it looks like there's gonna be $2.50 Fat Tires all night that night. Can't beat that!!!!

Well, I strongly recommend the Seville Diner (on Route 18 South, between Rues Lane and Route 516), and Magnificos (on the Route 18 northbound side, about 2 miles up from the Diner) for some ice cream.

I live in Springfield, VA, a NoVA suburb that looks a lot like all the others (including McLean).
Cam lives in Burke, a destitute suburb of Springfield.
Bee lives in Fairfax, the capital of Northern Virginia suburbs.

And a bunch of people live in DC and Maryland, but we in Virginia try like hell to pretend those locales are really, really far away.

Of all the mansions in my gated community, my grass is easily the greenest.

I remember that some guy who had created a shareware RPG game that I really liked back in the late 80s liked in Lawrence, Kansas. I remember registering and getting a bunch more dungeons.

I was from the New Orleans area too when I first started posting here and for most of my first 23 years.

The only two other Lexington people I can remember of off hand are rufusjonz, who I think is in the MS/HM memorial retirement home, and Targetpractice6, who I think is in Lexington, but may be elsewhere in KY.

I'm from Arkansas so is MattJones4Heisman, but I don't believe we live very close to each other. I'm from Little Rock, the central part of the state, and I believe he is from the NW part. GoldenEagle went to college in Arkansas, but I'm not sure if he is still there or not.

st. cronin is apparently in Madison, although I've now moved out of the city to a nearby village. I still work in Madison if that counts. I thought there were another couple of posters from here as well.

Pumpy, New Orleans may be a decent sized city, but the odds of finding another genuine Privateers fan on here were astronomical. To me that's way more amazing than two people posting from a 15,000 population town.
