I play the poker
If you are bored, watch me attempt to turn my 2 dollars into 6! Amaze your women and children. 1272 started, 52 are left. I will eat their children.
Pokerstars 10400512 Table 143 |
into 6? Watch it or you may find yourself the subject of someones hatred in the "I hate rich people." thread.
Now on table 70. 43 left. That 2 dollars is now a cool 7.64. That is like a dollar an hour.
Keep it up and maybe I'll teach you how to dance, Raymond.
hehe i'm playing at pokerstars too table 10518723 table 3 hehe
Somehow 2 3's turned into 3 which turned into 61000 chips. Help me fetch'em
Sov...we live so close together, I live near the police station in moorhead... 11 dollars has been added to my dance lesson fund...22 left and at 19 I get 20 dollars... Teach me to slow dance like a lady.
Table 41 18 left. $20.36.
KK me vs 77 evil.
Flop 9 8 6 Turn K River 7 Suddenly I am second in chips 16 left. |
That was a wild hand there. I was sure that open ended draw would turn into a straight. Always seems to happen to me.
I have had numerous lucky hands tonight.
Guys like Mahan piss me off....he only has 30K in chips, he will probably fold for the next half hour

Why shouldn't he? |

Liar. ;) |
Now watching...
ouch
Lost a bunch on my 33
I was going to call, but been in too long to lose like that.
I think he had 77 on that. Maybe AQ.
I got QQ
damn, 3 outer
Lost to A Q
Ugh, that sucks for you, man.
So what was your final take?
20 dollars. Went out 10th. 9th was 40 roughly, 5th was 100, 1st 600.
It appears that 1 table sit n go's are the most profitable for me. I won a mtt once, but not often enough to make it profitable.
Trying a 20 this time. 67 left 845 to start. 10400697 table 62. I need the help!
Just doubled up with A 9 vs AK by rivering a flush. 11k in chips average is 19k
Let's GO Afo(ci)! :D
Now only to get some hands....
Afoci go BOUNCE! |
Stole the blinds with 77 out of position. BOUNCE!

Table 51
Moved to 51 and on the good side of the button

went out on the bubble. Need to work early and either wanted a stack or nothing. I want my nothing back.
Coming up on the money on two tourneys tonight.
One is a 30+3 limit on pokerstars: 115261164 table 1 21st out of 33, 18 paid. Other is 2+0 NL on pokerstars: 115261163 table 144 about 8000 chips and 150 people left. average is 12500, pays to 135. Check them out if you are bored |
Hitting a set has me at 9th in the limit game with 28 left.
In the money in the NL game
Down to 18 in the limit one $$$. 7 of 18. Time to unleash the fury.
75th out of 1274 for 5 bucks, time to focus on the limit game
First ever final table at a mtt that is more than 5 bucks. Already got 119 for my work, trying to go BOUNCE!
Speaking of poker, for the first time ever tonight I flopped quad Aces.
Not a bad hand
Quote:
It is sort of like wow, what the hell do i do. |
Up to 229. By far my largest pay out. Hand jobs and peanut butter for all.
Quote:
Might be a time to slow play. Or finally figure out if you can give yourself head. |
Up to 367. Those hand jobs might come from hookers with hands
On the third break, I am 3rd in chips, but the blinds are big enough to fuck who ever screws up
ouch...
Nice job getting to final table!!!! |
Went out 4th with AQ vs AK.
Damn. What's the pay at 4th?
Congrats on your $367. That is terrific!
I don't know where else to put this, but I got a royal flush the other day... granted, it was with 4 board cards, and me holding the 10 of spades, but it was still nice. And helped me to 2nd in a $500 freeroll, awarding me $25.
Grats :) Great showing!
Trying to conquer the world one 30+3 limit tourney at a time.
Pokerstars 11526283 Table 4 13th out of 23 with top 18 paid. Anyone else playing, I am bored, getting tired and need to keep awake. |
Made the top 18 at number 8. 42 dollars. 8 more and I go see sov.
No, I am waiting to hear back from customer support on why I cant withdraw my money. After that, I am heading to Crazy Poker. I may stop by and watch you play for a minute or two.
Just rivered an ace to survive A2 vs JJ. Now I am awake.
Quote:
That sucks about not being able to get your cash. Was just moved to table 5. |
Made the final table and 59 bucks. Had great luck with A8 and became retarded with 88. But I am here I guess. 9 of 9 currently.
A7 vs JJ done me in. Made a bit of money and am happy about making final table two tourneys in a row.
Afoci, what is your biggest key to winning in limit? I suck at limit hold 'em, but I would like to think I'm a better than average NL player.

The biggest things for me are just being patient. When you start to get small stacked in limit, or towards the end of the game, it essentially turns into a NL game. The blinds and the bets will be large enough that essentially no matter what happens, you will be all in, so just wait for a decent hand and push hard if you get anything or think you are still in the lead. Remember you don't always need a pair to win, Ace high wins a decent number of preflop all-ins in NL, it is just that in limit, you may have to make a few bets post flop. Just go with what feels right. Ace high seems to be much more powerful in limit that no limit. When it starts getting close to the money, you will have to make some tough decisions with stacks slightly smaller than you and ones larger than you. In no limit, you see a bunch of big raises in attempts to steal the blind with A-x. In limit it is the same, except that the attempt at the steal can continue after the flop. They may decide preflop this is where they make their stand and will push with nothing making it tough to stay with top pair. Last night was a great example of doing this right and wrong. I was very short stacked and raised preflop with A2 in bad position. I was called by the big bling who I assumed knew that I was trying to steal. The flop came 2-Q-K and I bet it out and was called. The turn was 8. I bet, he called. The river was an A. Great for me, bad for him. I bet, he called and showed JJ. He knew I was trying to steal and figured that I was A-x and the K-Q didn't worry him. Risky, but something that has seems pretty common. Now for an example that went bad for me. 1st position, a stack roughly half my size raises in first position. Table folds to me in small blind with 88. In hindsight, I should have put the guy on any face card. After the blinds go through, he would have been down to about 2 or 3 BB. But I put him on A-x and decide that this is a steal attempt. The BB at this time is sitting out, so it is me vs him. I decide to gamble and put in a re-raise. He only calls which leads me to believe his hand is less than a great one. Flop comes 6-6-K. The 6's didn't scare me. If he had pocket 6s or x-6, I consider it bad luck and move on. The K didn't scare me either, because if he had A-K, I would have recieved a re-raise preflop. Now he bets and the decision comes to me. I decide to try and find out where I stand right now so I reraise. Now a reraise from him would let me lay my hand down and figure he has top pair or a six. I get a call and figure I have him. The turn come Q and he checks. Perfect. I bet and expect a fold but get reraised all-in by him for only a few hundred more chips. There is no decision for me to call or not, and really no decision for him to bet or not as he would be blinded out in two hands, so I have to call. Of course he shows KQ and the last two 8's stay in hiding and I lose a large chunk. So I guess what I am trying to say is be patient early as you really can't win huge amount of chips until the blinds go up some, so only play premium hands. Near the end, treat it like NL and push with A-x or smaller pairs if you are short stacked. It feels funny betting the flop and turn before being all in and then showing ace high or third pair, but when it beats other guy, it is great. Also, as a little note on the end, in limit, I don't mind getting down to 3 or 4 BB as much as I do in NL. Nearing the final table, the blinds and bets have put everyone essentially short stacked and you can very easily go from worst to top 6 with one win. Generally only 2 or 3 people actually have the stacks to play a few hands and lose and be okay, so don't panic. None of this may make sense since I am very tired right now... |
Now I've only played in one limit tourney (which happened to be my biggest tourney money placing) but have been playing in quite a few limit heads-up SNG. What I like about having done this is:
A) I think the opposition is much weaker since I think most of the people I've been playing are playing this on a lark and are used to NL B) Aggression is often rewarded but without the risk of NL as there are often plenty of chances for you to get away from hands that have you beat EDIT: I think The Afoci's comments match my own experience in a MTT. |
Back at it tonight. 13 out of 29 in a 30+3 limit game on pokerstars. Tourney 11805438 table 8. Money at 18 and up. Erections are welcome
I have an eriction.
Table folded to my pocket kings.
Golden poked me in the eye.
watching you on Saldanas account
you're funny
For what it's worth, I'm down to the final 12 in the 5K freeroll on Absolute. I have outlasted 1988 people.
I got no cards forever....
correction, just folded 66. |
In the money
I don't think Peter likes me. Anyone else get that impression?
go Afoci - the FOFC limit master
Out 14th out 165 for 59 bucks. My 77 got beat by J8. :(
so should i just pm you my address so you can send me some candy?
Quote:
I hope that doesn't DQ me from getting candy. |

No, wasn't trying to make it sound like a bad beat. I played horribly in this tourney and by the last 22 or 23, I had little choice but to fold everything and pray for the money and some luck. I would have been upset if my raise wouldn't have been called, because the sevens were my best cards in a while. The flop of 4 6 8 was about as good of flop as I could have hoped for and I really have no problem losing on that hand. The way I played prior to that lead to the :( because most of the players I have seen do well over the last few weeks were either not in it or gone and the guys who were big stacks, sheets, NHTin, and such are pretty straight foward players that I feel like if I had played better and had chips, this could have been pretty profitable night for me. Candy for all! |
Wow, I just saw sheets went out one place behind me!?! He must have self destructed after being so upset that I wasn't sitting next to him. And I can't wait to play against peter again, I don't think anyone has ever respond as horribly to me as he did. :)
Playing in a $5 NL turbo tourney. Coming up on the money currently 42 out of 257 but they are dropping like flies. This is a great tourney for methheads as everyone is crazy. Table 58.
Afoci go boom with 22 vs KK. Up to about 24k in chips
this has been great fun to watch
It is nuts, I got two cards, all in bitches.
now at table 20
And missed out on the big blind which is roughly half my chips. Not bad.
Now on table 21 with about 40 left. I got 20 dollars. Make me happy.
and that quickly i died.
Are you gonna play sunday?
Maybe, I always seem to get my ass handed to me. I am a much better Limit player than no limit and the FOFC tourney has a bunch of good NL players. Plus I never really seem to be around then.
I also play the poker, outlasted two thirds of the field in the Daily $10+1 (Top prize $3500).. and 100th in the chip count right now, but am currently chip dead. If you're on PokerStars, I'd appreciate the support :)
How did it go Foz?
Lost a huge hand when A10 drew out on QQ (4 clubs on board with his 10 gave him a flush).. I fought back for another 30 minutes, but eventually 99 ran into KK, nothing you could do
Playing on Pokerstars 5+.50 NL game 12384343 on table 92. Started out with 802 down to 74. Currently 12k in chips in 40th.
edit: Just got moved to table 35 |
Watching :)
SI |
SI, those last couple bluffs were for you. Getting bored not having hands for so long it seems. Maybe it is time to start the chatting...
Hehe. And you walked off with some good cash, too :)
Don't change your strategy on my account, tho. It's all about winning for you and if someone calls that bluff... SI |
yeah, I need a move. got caught trying to steal the blinds and then lucky for me he was bluffing too.
I still can't believe that after that, they're still buying you going into the pot.
