Werewolf XV: Round 'Em Up And Hang 'Em!

RULES HAVE BEEN UPDATED!!!! READ!!!

Rules:
Day Phase: During the Day Phase, the players vote for a character to be locked up inside the cage. Or if the judge is locked-up, vote to lynch someone. (Deadline: 9PM EDT)
Jail: If someone is sent into jail, that person's role is not revealed. That person will still be able to speak, but he will not be able to vote. People sent into Jail lose their night ability. If people are removed from Jail, they regain their night abilities. If the Judge dies/is sent into jail, everyone in Jail DO NOT get free. The Outlaws may CHOOSE to kill someone in Jail as their night action.
Death/Lynching: Deaths and Lynch victims' roles are revealed upon expiration.
Night Phase: During the Night Phase, players with roles that require a night action will be asked to PM me their specific actions for the night. (Deadline: 9AM EDT)

Victory Conditions:
Villagers: Jail/Lynch all Outlaws
Outlaws: Gain a 1/1 ratio with Villagers that are still alive and free (not Jailed/Lynched.)

Roles: (No hidden roles this time around)

Bad Guys: (the Outlaws may PM each other, note that the exact number of total outlaws is unknown.)
Outlaw Leader - You are the leader of the Outlaws. If killed (note: lynched or executed, not Jailed), you can take one player to the grave with you. The Outlaws can agree to kill one person at night, PM'ing me the name of the person who is going to do the killing, or as a one-time skill, execute a Jail-Break... releasing all Jailed individuals.
Outlaw Spy - You are the Outlaw spy, each night you may check to see if a player is the Private Eye.
Outlaw - You are a regular Outlaw.
Man Of Loose Moral Fiber - You are a man of loose moral fiber, if attacked by the Outlaws at night, you will automatically join them. As long as you ar enot attacked, you are still to be considered as a villager, and will appear as such to the PI. You do not know that you are a man of loose moral fiber until you are attacked.

Good Guys:
Judge - You are the Judge, the man who maintains law in this small town. While the Judge is still out and about (not locked up), lynchings will not occur. Instead, people will be sent to Jail. As a night-action the Judge may choose to have a person released from Jail.
Wealthy Baron - You are a wealthy baron. Your influence allows you to change the target of the vote for the day. If used, the new target is automatically executed...regardless if the Judge is still alive or not. This is a one-time skill only. If used, your role is revealed.
Private Investigator - You are the Private Eye. You may check to see if a player is an Outlaw. Not that you will only know if someone is an Outlaw, and not the type of Outlaw that he is.
Sherriff - You may choose to protect one person from being killed by the Outlaws at night. You may choose yourself, but not choose the same person twice in a row.
Witness - You may choose to perform a witnessing action at night. If you do so, then you will find out the identity fo the Outlaw doing the killing for that night, the Outlaws will also find out who you are.. If the Outlaws do not kill anyone, you do not see anyone.
Villager - You are a regular Villager. You must be able to Jail/Lynch all four Outlaws
Gypsy Twin - You are a psychic Gypsy Twin, if you die, then your twin dies as well. You know who your twin is, and you may PM each other

Just one question about the witness. If there is no kill that night do the outlaws still find out who you are?

No kill, no witnessing, the Outlaws don't know who you are since they didn't go out to kill that night.

I like the western theme. I'm in.

I'm thinking of moving the Outlaw number from 4 to 3.

Kill doesn't succeed. Witness finds out who tried to kill, Outlaw finds out who the witness is.

Retard - You are the retard...you have no special powers, you cant vote, and you are barred from talking in the thread. The outlaws thinks your the private eye, and the villagers think your an outlaw. If your alive the third day, you will be killed for fun. Good luck

When does the next "period" end? My availability will be spotty to nonexistent over the weekend -- I'm moving and I won't have a dial tone at the house until Monday.

No questions on the rules. Seems pretty straightforward. My hope is that this won't start until at least Sunday, because I'm gonna be busy covering the JC football game out here tomorrow.

I take that back. I do have one question. If I'm reading this right, the only way we can lynch outlaws is if the judge is in jail? Otherwise the nightly vote sends a player to jail?

Sack: Correct. The value of a Jailed Outlaw is equivlent to a deceased outlaw. The only difference is that the Outlaws can talk, and could be broken out via a one-time JailBreak. So if the villagers jail all the outlaws then the villagers win.

Everyone: It's clear that the weekend is a pretty awkward time to start. We are going to start with Night 1. Night actions will be required by 9AM EDT Sunday. Day 1 will then commence, with the Voting deadline at 9PM EDT Monday

I was wondering the same thing about me. Maybe Neon wants to watch the entertainment of 2 innocent villegars trying to take each other out.

The sad thing is I've seen people voted out for just that day one. I think we are beyond that though now :).

Villager checking in. I really wanted to be an outlaw this game but apparently me and chaos aren't thinking eye to eye.

Deadline has passed. It is now Day (1).

You are a travelling band of trailblazers, out to settle the west. You have all met each other on the road to the mining town of Tree's Stump. You find this small village, on the outskirts of the town, and see that it is abandoned. Neon Chaos, the wagon-leader, decides that it would be best to make camp here, seeing as how all these vacant houses and stables aren't being used.

Last night, you had a good feast, and Neon Chaos told a tale of the fabled lost gold of One-Fingered Puck. The story goes that a thief named One-Fingered Puck stole an entire crate of gold from a group of outlaws about five years ago. The outlaws found Puck, but not before he had time to hide the gold. Now, there is a rumor that the gold is located inside the mines of Tree's Stump... and that's why most of you are here... because you heard of this rumor.

As you wake up in the morning... you find Neon Chaos' body outside the tent, a knife stuck on his chest. You finally realize that this... this is serious. You will need to find whoever's responsible... you notice a local jail in the village... pretty handy in these times, you think. There is a semblance of order still... you must vote to see who goes to the brig!

He said he wanted to be an Outlaw, and for a first day vote, that's good enough for me.

Is the judge's existence an advantage or disadvantage for us? While the judge is free we can't kill outlaws. And if we can only jail them, then they can be freed in a jailbreak. Am I reading the rules right. I'm just not sure what benefit the judge is to us.

True, but the private investigator can determine if a player is an outlaw or not. By jailing somebody rather than lynching them, we can reduce the risk of eliminating innocents, which plays directly into the Outlaws' hands.

On the other hand, yeah, there is that pesky Jailbreak thing.

Just saying, the judge isn't useless. It's just not a slam-dunk benefit.

Yes, but he's also a division rival in the DKBL. That alone is good enough for me, but I figured an in-game reason would be more relevant here. :D

I think he's pretty much neutral since we get a second chance on innocents who were voted on. His importance will switch from side to side as the game goes on I think.
