Eagles- Falcons
My bold prediction (Falcon's fans are not going to like it)- The Falcons will continue their streak of not having back-to-back winning seasons. There will at least be one major injury tonight, and the Eagles are going to blow the Black Birds out in the Dome. The secondary is going to give up long pass after long pass tonight and through-out the season, and the defense will end up with the worst pass defense in the league.
I hope all of that is not true, and by saying it out loud it will remove the jinx. Sadly, I really don't think that will be the case. |

I hear you. Luckily, we bought ours before we started working for non-profits. :) |
All I know is that I need 20 points from Brian Westbrook and the Eagles D....Possible, but not very likely.
|
Quote:
All I need is 102 points from Mike Vick. Think I'll get them? |
Quote:
Got mine from Comcast (and so should Ben). :D |
In one league I need Akers to kick 2 XPs or 1 FG.
In another league I need McNabb to be unavoidably detained by a roving band of rabid midget line dancers. |
Quote:
Sounds like we have kinda the same situation. I've got an 18 point lead right now. They've got McNabb left to play And I've got Vick left to play. And yet, somehow, I feel like I'm going to have to be lucky to pull this out. |
1. I like the Eagles.
2. I need the final point total to be between 43-48 to win my office pool. 3. I need Warrick Dunn to outscore David Akers by 2.02 points to win my one winnable fantasy football game tonight. |
I hope McNabb chokes.
Culpepper has been (historically) a much better QB that I don't get where the hype comes from for McNabb. |
I need the Falcons defense to score negative points for me to beat Bbor. 0 points will get me a tie.
|
I thought this thread would be about a football game.
|
Quote:
I disagree. I think Culpepper is hugely overrated. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
It is not about soccer. |
Quote:
There stats are fairly even, McNabb has had much worse receivers historically, and has turned the ball over much less than Culpepper. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
Case Closed. |
Quote:
Maybe I'm issing something, but how does having no defense make Culpepper fumble roughly every single time he has the ball in his hand? |
Quote:
Fixed it for ya. |

|
So your argument for Culpepper is just a list of excuses?
|
How about after this season, you all can argue if McNabb or Culpepper is better? As I see it this is the defining year for Culpepper, with Moss gone.
|
Quote:
You said Culpepper fumbled a lot. I agree; however, you can't dispute the fact that McNabb has had a better defense (and coach (thanks FN)) than Culpepper. Also, it isn't excuses for Culpepper, it's reasons why McNabb is good...the same way Trent Dilfer was good in Baltimore. |
Fight! Fight! Fight!
|
Trotter has been tossed. YES! Go Falcons.
|
Trotter and Kevin Mathis have been ejected.
|
WOW.
Jerimiah Trotter (PHI) and Kevin Mathis (ATL) have been ejected before the game has even begun. |
Very nice.
|
What the heck? Where are you seeing this?
|
Trotter being tossed = bad for Eagles
Matthis being tossed = good for Falcons Win, win situation for Atlanta |
Wow, open hand slaps get you ejected these days?

I saw it on my online poker table.
|
Too bad they can't toss TO as well just for being an asshat.
|
That's what I get for watching the local crap.
|
I'd rather toss McFagg
|
Quote:
They do when the players are stupid enough to do it less than 2 feet from an official. They're both morons. |
He still gets paid for being ejected at least. They should bring up Zo Jackson from the PS.
|
Quote:
If it has been just a slap, I don't think they would have been ejected. But there was pretty sustained cat-fighting, grabbing, shoving, etc. |
WTF is going on!!!!
|
A mosh pit?
|
I fucking hate the Eagles.
|
Quote:
I concur |
That was a first.

|
I can't wait until someone throws a cheapshot early in this game....
|
The Falcons have 0% chance of winning this game.
That is all. |
Jaworski, be a dear and grab Stu Scott's eyelid off of the ground before someone steps on it...
|
Quote:
Quoted so I can laugh at it later ;) |
What's the story on that eyelid? Granted, I haven't watched ESPN in a long time, so it could be an old story...
|
Quote:
Quote it all you want. They have no shot. The Eagles have a better secondary (front 7's are a wash), significant better WR's, better o line, MUCH better QB, better rb, better special teams. What the hell else do you want to know loser. |
Quote:
It's MNF, so we have the horse trailer. Any player moronic enough to throw a cheap shot early in the game will get the "horses ass" award for stupidity. Especially if the cheap shot is on a star player. An early late hit on Vick or McNabb will be fined heavily. These guys all need to get their emotions under control. No late hits, not cheap shots, no fights. I can promise you the officials have warned both locker rooms that there will be fines and suspensions heavily doled out if anything occurs in the game. |

'Sup, Loser? |
Loser meaning he picked the loser team!
|
ESPN Gamenight says Trotter has been ejected for fighting!
|
Quote:
The Eagles are a better team, but without Trotter, their run defense will be suspect. That happens to be the thing Atlanta does best. Don't foget the emotion of the home game either. A road game that was going to be tough anyway, just got tougher. |

welcome to half an hour ago! |

OH MY GOD KEVIN MATHIS HAS BEEN EJECTED!
|
Quote:
Well fuck. I didn't know I was a loser. What do I have to live for now? Quote:
Quit piling on, loser. |
Quote:
You are an elitist |
Quote:
Fixed ;) |
I thought it was funny that the ref thought it necessary to throw a flag in a pregame fight. :)

Thanks :) |
I They should just kill each other on the field, not off.
Kids nowadays. |

I was wondering abiut that. Do you think that was actual protocol, or just instinct? |

Tonight, I will drink 2 beers for every touchdown by a player from Rutgers.
|
How can you not like a team that has four Hokie starters?
|
Mexico with the interception.
|
Quote:
Because one Hokie won't stop throwing bad passes. |
He's just getting it out of his system.
I hope. |
Now THAT's a Hokie!
|
One hokie giveth, another taketh away.
|
Quote:
But isn't that the Hokie you don't like? :D |
alright. i need TO to have a better game than McNabb+Akers. like 4 points better for fantasy points. And then I'll win! Niiiiice...injure McNabb!! PLEASE!!!
|
Mike, please don't throw that so hard. Please.
|
McNabb break his ribs you think?
|
Vick isn't even coming close to the receivers...he needs to calm down.
Regarding McNabb....they need to check him to make sure nothing is pressing against his lungs. His mobility on the sidelines is a bit concerning. Quote:
|
Quote:
Well, two passes hit players in their hands and then bounced off went ten yards down the field. |
Those were horrible passes by McNabb.
|
I guess a bad Hokie is like bad pizza? Even when it's bad it's still pretty good?
|
Quote:
He needs x-rays. I bet he'll stay in there and not get them until half-time though. He's a warrior, but sometimes your better off being a little safer. |
Quote:
It kind of looked like the Falcon DL speared him with his helmet. Maybe it was just the angle... |
Quote:
No, he did. |
Vick can definitely run.
|
Man, that was sweet. The first roll out should have been a sack, and then he just sweeps into the endzone.
|

I thought so, too. Was that Kearney? |
