The Rules
The rules are the same as previous FOFC “I’m With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the game’s surprisingly wise founding fathers.

The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins.

No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants.

All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game, me. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and inarguable.

Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American high school graduate. However...

Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask "Who will win this year's Heisman Trophy?" and you and four other people answer "Vince Young", you each get five points even though the answer is Brad Smith.

You have to admit that 2+ weeks is an awfully long turnaround. There are things that I don't do (like online leagues) because I know I will ruin them with my inability to commit. Not sure what is so hard about tabulating answers. Just two cents from an antipope.

I think Rgunner is actually going to everyone's house and getting the answers in person. I hear he's flying to Holland right now.

I hope he's okay. The worst thing would be that he died in real life, and all we're concerned about is IWS.

Even though I haven't participated in an IWS contest in over a year, I want to help get you guys some closure. I chat with RGunner every now and then on IM, and I have him in my contacts list. If I see him online, I'll point him in this direction.

I hope he mentioned it in his will so we're taken care of.

His last visit was two days ago, so I doubt that's the reason he hasn't posted the results...

This actually happened to me on another board I frequent, though not quite this insensitively... someone who would post regular news items to the front page hadn't done one in over a week and a half after pretty regularly posting one a day for several weeks. He was also a producer of a music video show in this town, and had failed to turn up to a video shoot one Friday...

So, a few people kind of kiddingly complained about no new news items, and his blog had a couple of comments from people he worked with saying "it must've been nice to have a day off and sleep in!" He had died in his apartment (presumably in his sleep) of a heart attack, and wasn't found for several days. The guy was super nice, and those comments just made his friends feel even worse, even though they were pretty innocuous...

Very quickly, here's what happened to RGunner:

His computer crashed. He can't remember his password or which e-mail address he registered with FOFC. He thinks he still has the PM's in his FOFC inbox with the IWS submissions. He's been very busy lately and it would probably be some time before he could tabulate results, even if he could log back in.

I don't know where to go from here, but that's the story.
