This should be a great game, if for no other reason than it's supposed to snow in Philly today/tonight with accumulations up to 4-6 inches. Gotta love the snow bowl games.

This will probably be a lot of people's first chance to see Seattle. They have to be more under the radar than any probably #1 seed at this time of year than any team in recent memory. Other than Alexander's fantasy stats, what press has Seattle gotten this season?

That will probably be the only reason to watch, considering Seattle has clinched their division and Philly is out of the playoff chase for all intents and purposes.

No kidding. Until I watched last week's game, I didn't even know Joe Jurevicius was still in the league, let alone starting for Seattle.

I think people write off Seattle because they've been very good many times before but always fall apart during the season or during the playoffs. :(

A seattle loss would muddy up the NFC playoff picture in terms of bye's a bit more. As a Panther fan, I'm all for this. GoGo Seattle late season choke job!

I'll have the hot chocolate ready as I sit down to watch the game at home. As an NFC West viewer, Seattle has been quite impressive this year and definitly underrated.

They already should've lost to the Giants at home... 3 separate times... during a "big game". I think Philadelphia is not good enough to challenge them here, but I don't think they go far in the playoffs this season.

Yeah, cause no good team has ever won a game the lucky way (though we can always bring up the speculation that the Giants were spotted a few points earlier in the game that they shouldn't have necessarily had).

As a Seahawks fan, this is a very important game for us to come out and be strong in. We've won the past two games in rather ugly and lucky fashion, and know it. Add in the Dallas and Washington games and we're 3-1 in games where the endings aren't exactly your typical NFL style finishes. We should probably be 2-2 in those games, but I just can't bring myself to feel bad when we've had our fair share of officiating gaffs that have ended up being a major factor in losses over the past few years.

For the season though, it's time to start proving the point we had started to make earlier. Our #1 offense hasn't looked like it lately, and it won't until Holmgren rededicates himself to the run. I for one hope it snows like crazy in Philly to force Holmgren to keep the ball in Alexander's hands and to show everybody just how good he and this offensive line can be. We're automatically better once Jackson is back in the lineup, which is the most encouraging thing about the future of this season, but tonight is a game we have to come out and cement our hold on the #1 seed rather than muddling up the situation.

Also, Seattle is 9-2 overall, but 3-2 on the road. They have something to prove generally, but also to themselves.

Are they really expecting the snow to be that bad in Philadelphia? I understand that I'm clear across the state from Philly, but if they're getting the same thing that got Pittsburgh yesterday, it's not really going to be that bad. Now, if they're getting something else, well, I can't wait to see this. :D

I'm in Florida, so when I see that there is supposed to be 4-6 inches of snow, I'm just hoping it will be coming down during the game. I don't know how bad it really would be to play in.

They should be playing in Tallahassee right now - we're getting a major line of thunderstorms as I type which has produced a couple of tornadoes so far.

I just looked at Weather Underground's report for Philadelphia, and it looks like it's going to be fun in Philly tonight. This is clearly something much stronger than what we had in western Pennsylvania yesterday. Giddyup!

This storm is a rarity - usually the larger snow amounts occur north and west of Philadelphia. However, this one should be more out to see than the others and thus living in Delaware, we should see more snow than Philadelphia. Even here they're calling for 3-5 inches in total, with the majority happening after midnight.

I'd love to see a snow game, too, but it looks like a flurry/light snow game, if anything :(

I think this is the first time in a very long time, that I've had to just stop watching an Eagles game. It's just too painful to watch the team play this pathetically. Off to play some Gothic 2.

Man, I couldn't imagine having watched this game. I watched it until it was 35-0. The rest of the game must've been just awfuuull.

Had Holmgren less class he could have run the score to 84-0! After the score went to 42-0 he stopped playing offense, took out his starters and basically ran the ball into the line.

The Hawk's defense is coming together nicely. Hopefully Dyson will only miss a game or two.

The Seahawks buried the Eagles tonight on the field and for the season. Now hopefully my other favorite team the G-Men will continue piling the dirt on top of Phillie:)

You would think they would be fun to watch...but not really. I guess it would be fine if you were a Seahawks fan, but I'm not. I don't get really excited watching Shaun Alexander run the ball 30 times. He's not as exciting to watch as LT or Vick, who make guys miss with all their razzle dazzle. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him on my team, but he doesn't make for exciting football, IMHO.

Also, this disdain I feel for the Seahawks may come from having grown up in Ottawa where we saw the Bills every weekend...back in the Kelly and Thurman days...also good teams but because we had to watch every week, I really grew to dislike them. So, maybe having to watch the Seahawks every week for the last 6 years just may have soured me on them for good.

Westbrook done for season with Lis Franc injury

PHILADELPHIA -- Running back Brian Westbrook will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, the fourth Pro Bowl player the Philadelphia Eagles have lost for the season in the last month.

Westbrook injured his foot in the first half of Monday night's 42-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. An MRI exam Tuesday confirmed Westbrook has a Lis Franc injury, an injury more common in automobile accidents and equestrian sports.

Westbrook joins quarterback Donovan McNabb (sports hernia), cornerback Lito Sheppard (ankle) and left tackle Tra Thomas (back) on the injured list.

The Eagles also are without All-Pro wideout Terrell Owens, who was suspended four games for conduct detrimental to the team and told not to return.

Westbrook signed a five-year contract extension worth almost $25 million last month. He had been unhappy with his deal and held out the first week of training camp.

Westbrook leads the Eagles with 617 yards rushing and three touchdowns. He also had a team-high 61 catches for 616 yards and four TDs.

A fourth-year pro from Villanova, Westbrook had a breakout year in 2004 with 812 yards rushing and 73 catches for 703 yards in 13 games. He signed a one-year restricted free agent offer for $1.43 million in the offseason.

Westbrook missed just one game because of injury last year, with a broken rib, and missed only one regular-season game in both 2002 and 2003. He did miss the postseason two years ago with a torn triceps.

Rookie Ryan Moats likely will take Westbrook's spot, though he could share time with Lamar Gordon and Reno Mahe.

Moats has 16 carries for 50 yards, and lost a fumble that was returned for a score against Seattle.

Eagles tight end Chad Lewis and free safety Brian Dawkins each have overcome similar foot injuries.

The reigning NFC champion Eagles are last in the NFC East at 5-7.
