Is Anyone Missing?
 

I was just wondering if anyone seems to have failed to make the trip over here, or who has seemingly disappeared.

HornsManiac, of course, but I am talking about other posters besides him.

I don't know why exactly but one name occurred to me that I hadn't seen in a bit was Casterling, our British import. :)

Who else is missing? Or has anyone seeing Casterling?

I haven't seen Jimmy Hoffa in a while. Or Salman Rushdie.

Cam has been rather quiet of late. As has TroyF.

I've seen Cam on...you know who's been missing for a while...Scatman Crothers, where is he...that and the guy who wrote Catcher in the Rye has been out of the spotlight for years...

Rushdie either just did or will give a speech at the University of Pennsylvania.

That prolific poster Vulcan seems to have left his torrid pace back on the old board. 350 posts in like two months, but none since we've been over here.

Heh. Turns out it almost certainly IS my wife. Can't verify for certain yet because she's not at the house anymore, but it makes sense that she would have gone by there for a few minutes. She leads a small group with a group of freshman girls on Wednesday afternoons, and leaves the office early.

The good news is that I doubt seriously that she has the patience to come check the board that often.

I wonder what would happen if I banned her???? :D

If she lives up to her name, it wouldn't last long.

So how many people who might be "missing" do you think have taken refuge under another name to try to start "fresh" here at the new board?

And now it just hit me what motivated her to join. Since we're going to be sitting down tomorrow night to make some final calls on the CD cover, I sent her a link to the CD cover opinions thread so she could read the stuff for herself. I'm pretty I've told her before that I refer to her as S.W.M.B.O. on here, but even if I hadn't or she forgot, I refer to her as that in the very thread that I gave her a link to. DOH!

Ummm...wouldn't that also ban you by default?

Hmmm...I know you can ping yourself, but can you ban yourself? And if you did, could you then remove the ban, even though you were banned. And if you killed your father while you were banned....

Well, I'm about to find out for sure. Heading out of the office to the house. It says she's still online, which means she's probably left the screen up. (She does that even more than I do....) I'll let y'all know in about 15-20 minutes.

When we got married, mine was just about that bad. She had an electric typewriter/word processor that she used for all of her word processing needs. The first Windows system she had ever been on was the system we bought right after we got married (May '98). She's learned a lot since then.

Dolamite hasn't been around in a long, long time, has he? I don't remember seeing him after he was ridiculed and made infamous with the term "dola". Of course, I was away from the board for a year and half, do I may have missed him coming back...

I was missing for a while as my company have blocked access to FOFC and most of the websites I used to visit.

Just installed internet access as home via cable, so I'm back - and enjoying catching up with what I've missed i over the last few months.

Sure thing, Casterling. You were one of the first I thought of. I think it was because you are a British national in America, and you always put up insightful thoughts on us Yanks that aren't so apparent to us. :)
