NFL Week 10 Discussion
Double checked, but I don't see any thread for this week, yet.
McNabb to Stallworth for an 84 yard TD! Of course, the Redskin's pass defense has been bad, but it is still nice to see the offense starting to connect on deep passes again. |
Cleveland is looking pretty good against Atlanta so far
Cleveland up 14-0 over Atlanta, amazing what they can do when their weapons are healthy.
No Ray Lewis and Tennessee is up 19-7 on the Ravens. Travis Henry has had 2 big runs.
Did Bo Scaife really have a 13 yard run for a TD in that game? That's what CBS SportsLine's gamecast says. How did that happen?
Quote:
Clarified that for you ;) |
Nevermind. Right as I post that their game log explains the play.
Miami is playing great today vs the Chiefs, specially the defense.
WOWOW incredible play by Miami!!!
QB Harrington handoff to RB Brown, RB Brown runs, then stops, then pass back again to Harrington who throws a 46 pass to Chambers who caughts it at the Chiefs 1 yard line! |
Wow. Luck is good too. Buckhalter catches a pass that Brown bobbled and knocked up into the air. Buckhalter then runs about 50 yards untouched for a TD. 17-0 Eagles. :)
Wow. Tennessee is taking the Ravens out behind the woodshed. It's 26-7 with 10 minutes left in the first half.
Chiefs at Dolphis stats so far:
Scoreboard: Kansas 0 Dolphins 13 Passing yards: Chiefs: 2 Dolphins 111 Rushing yards: Chiefs: 26 Dolphins: 56 |
Quote:
Just so you know, Icy, that kind of play is known as a "Flea flicker"... :) |
Quote:
ROFLMAO :) |
Quote:
I don't think there is a Spanish translation for that. Maybe 'Tiro de pulga'. :D |
Wow the CHARGERS defense is getting smoke so far by the bengals.
21-7 Bengals 1st half |
Hehe what amazed me was not the play itself but the execution, specially the 46 yards bomb thrown by Harrington, not that i'm used to see him throwing that way :)
The Eagles' flea flicker didn't work so well in the 1st quarter...but they made up for it with the 84 yd bomb.
HOLY CRAP, Frank Gore has 148 rushing yards at halftime.
Indy needs to stop making mistakes
Man there must be a full moon tonight with as many weird scores and stats so far today.
Two things:
1) The Lions clearly don't belong in the NFL 2) It's nice to see Palmer and Ocho-Cinco get their groove back on. |
San Diego is making a comeback.
Bengals 28-21 now |
Greg Jennings is taking a lot of the sting out of losing Javon Walker...
Should be a fumble by Westbrook and Washington's ball.
Quote:
Is Chris Francies still on the Packers active roster? If so, is he getting any PT at all? I know he only has that one catch from three weeks ago, but I'm hoping he's at least getting on the field... |
Well the refs screwed that up and gave the Eagles a gift. The ball was clearly coming out before he was touched.
Quote:
Yes. Very little pt though. Think he is 4 or 5 on the depth chart. |
Cool, thanks. :)
Cotchery with a GREAT catch in double coverage to give the Jets a 11 point lead over the Pats with less than five minutes to go...
Thats 4 TDs by LT
Bengals 38-35 over the San Diego so far. with one quarter left
San Diego recover the fumble on Bengals 10 yard line at beginnign of the 4th. TD San Diego. 42-38 over the Bengals now At one time San Diego was down 21-0 and 28-7 |
Quote:
LT is a monster! |
This SD - Cinci game is insane!
Vick is averaging less than 4 YPA? What's he doing, throwing it backwards?
Quote:
Agree. 42-38 with 14 minuets left to play is wild. If they keep it up the two teams will get over 1.000yds total today. |
LT/Palmer winning my Yahoo fantasy football game for me :)
SI |
Quote:
Huh? Those are very good numbers for Vick. |
anyone watching the Jets winning over New England?
typical Brady comeback ? or do they get denied.
Quote:
LT/Gore is doing it for me... |
Quote:
De-NIED! :D |
game over.
J.E.T.S. win
Miami with the upset over KC.
whoa. pats suck
Vicious hit on TJ.
That was an ugly hit in the CIN-SD game
That was a sick...sick..hit.. I got goosebumps watching it.
Heaven forbid that Fox switch from a Philly blowout to a competitive game with smaller market teams. They sure love to stick with the NFC East.
And the 9ers have back-to-back wins for the first time in god knows how long.
Mcnair leads baltimore to a comeback. but not over yet.
F CBS/NFL rules.
wow my Titans really suck. I think they should fire their defensive coach.
Bengals have no defense. Last year their defense in the second half of the season was awful, and it looks like they're starting the second half of this season the same way. 41 points and have a good chance of losing today. That blows if you're Cincy.
I really hope the browns hang on.
Quote:
Same- we just got hosed on that one. Enjoying the SD/Cin game but got taken away :( SI |
Quote:
Yep, same here. Can someone explain how this rule is beneficial to the NFL? I'm baffled as to why they'd want to pull the plug on an exciting game. |
Haha- I do like CBS. Blatantly trying to get around the rules. "Well, we aren't showing you the entire game. Just every play" ;)
SI |
I like how CBS is getting around that stupid rule by showing "replays" after every single play. :D
Plummer gets picked and Raiders drive and score lol. 7-0 Oakland.
You know, they didn't begin their coverage by going to nonstop replays of the SD-CIN game - it took 'em a few minutes to start doing that. I wonder if the NFL tipped them off to this workaround?
so San Diego scores 42 points in the 2nd half. LOL
Quote:
Giving up 42 second half points is usually a tell tale sign... |
WOOOHOO Cleveland hangs on.
Quote:
Amazing. |
Cinci will win this in OT 51-48...
Bolts/Bengals game reminds me of those classics Fouts-Anderson games from the early 80s.
Titans going for the lead.
Quote:
I've seen them do that before. |
Tennessee going for the game leading FG.
Blocked!
feel bad for the Titans
ballgame. Vince young didnt look bad, but alas the kick was blocked apparently.
Quote:
Ah yes. Air Coryell at its best. Who needs defense. |
Glad someone's watching that game (Bal/Tenn) because I doubt many people are able to give us an update ;)
SI |
Oh, and GO Raiders!!
San Diego wins.
woohoo go Steelers!
Quote:
Awesome. Now we just a couple more completions between Plummer and the Raider DB's. |
At least you CBS people get to watch a good game.
Us losers in the Gay Area only get SF and OAK games today due to that extraordinarily lame NFL rule. |
Quote:
well so far he looks like Ryan Leaf, 1/6 with 2 picks. |
Speaking of CBS:
What is with that organ that only plays 2 or 3 notes after almost every replay and also randomly? It's annoying as all hell. Every single week too, so it's not my TV. |
BAH spoke to soon, TD plummer
Looks like the Bengals-Chargers game finished with a total of 1008yds.
does anyone realize that the Colts have now won almost 30 straight meaningful regular season games?
WOW. thats a lot of offense.
Ok so at the end of 1 quarter, Jake Plummer has as many completions to the Raiders, as he does to his teammates. LOL |
975 total yards is the official number for the CIN-SDO game.
I'm thinking Cutler may be in sooner then later. lol
10-0 Cowboys afer a Romo to Crayton pass!
Quote:
Wow. The home crowd actually booed the Mighty Vick lustily? |
I like the word 'lustily'
Each week I fall more in love with Marques Colston. He is the wind beneath my wings.
Quote:
But for the record, the result was correct. The Redskin player that touched Westbrook was actually the first to touch the ball before the other one recovered (though just slightly) and he was out of bounds which means the play is dead and Eagles keep the ball. :D |
Quote:
fixed it for ya |
Romo reminds me of Favre sometimes with the way he just chucks the ball while running and having defenders hanging off of him...
Not only is the Vikings' offense bad, it is painfully boring to watch.
Run up the middle for one yard. Run up the middle for three yards. Outlet pass for two yards. Fourth and four. Punt. |
51 yard TD pass from Romo to some schlub. 20-3...
Quote:
Yep. (although it was a sort of lackluster lustily booing) There was also noticeable, albeit lukewarm, applause for the appearance of Matt Schaub for one play earlier in the game when Vick was briefly shaken up. (Schaub, incidentally, lobbed one over the head of his intended receiver on that opportunity) |
Quote:
So basically it was just like Vick stayed in the game. |
