NCAA Tourney Survivor Pool- Season 4- Picks Are Up - Front Office Football Central

Last year we had no problem getting 32 people in.

This is how it works. Each person starts with 2 teams, one from each side of the bracket. So for example I would start with UCLA, and Texas. Then using the point spread your team matches up against someone elses team.

So for example I have UCLA and Jeeber has UTEP. If UCLA is a -25 favorite they have to cover the spread. If they do I move on with UCLA, if they don’t cover then I lose UCLA and Jeeber takes them over and moves on with them.

This is a lot of fun. Once we get 32 people I will randomly assign each person 2 teams. I thought about having a draft but I don’t think we would have the time, I will take requests for specific teams on a first come first serve basis, just PM me or AIM me. I will only honor a request for both teams if the second team hasn't been requested.

If there is a tie the team with the fewest turnovers moves on.

All of the betting lines will come from wagerline.com

trades are allowed as long as the 2 teams come from the same side of the bracket


If for some reason we don't get to 32 the first 16 will be guarenteed spots.

I may be a little slow with the results , I will be on a cruise 3/21-3/28 but will do my best.

Utah State are OK, but I don't think I'll be following any of my teams outside of the 1st round.

Anybody want Stephen F. Austin +12 - I'll take any eligible offer ("same side of the bracket" - I guess that means South or East)....I won't be able to root for them v. 'Cuse, but 'cmon, Syracuse is exhausted and ripe for an upset, right???

Remember- it's not about how good your teams are- it's how good they are against the spread. I doubt Portland State has much of a chance against Xavier but if they can keep it close, I get Xavier going forward :)

Maryland? These guys have screwed me in "Beat the Streak" all season long. I expect they will do the same in this competition. Which means I'm banking on Akron.

I forget, do we get have one site we go to for the lines? Or will it be whatever line Lathum picks each day before the tourney action starts (and I presume he will go to one site himself...CBS Sportsline?).

I get the lines from wagerline. In the past I have posted them, but I will be on a cruise the 21st -28th so I may not be able to do it as reguarly as usual

I recognize the format is luck of the draw, so I don't see it as strategic to make a request. I just know that Maryland has only had bad luck for me so far.

I'm pretty happy with Utah and FLST. One of those fives will probably lose to a twelve, but at least I'll last past the first day this year.

I guess I am okay with my picks, thinking about it now. Having a #1 or #2 would be nice, but like spleen said - what are the chances Duke covers that spread?
