I try and sign in and it has all my contacts, etcc... but I can't find my inbox

Seriously who uses hotmail in this Gmail age?

Hotmail is working fine for me and has been all day.

Having the same problem here. Hotmail is the address I use for basically any online orders I place, to avoid getting spam in my REAL in-boxes.

I primarily use gmail but just checked my old hotmail account that I still have some info stored in and yeah, no inbox apparently. Hopefully they get that fixed.

Seriously though, I still have a hotmail account. I never check it, but my hotmail account and my yahoo account get used for virtually anything that I sign up for on the internet or anything that has my email address publicaly.

My nice, spam-free gmail inbox doesn't need the attention that those accounts get.

I use email to communicate with people, hotmail works just fine for me. To be honest with you I have no idea what half the references you are using are. I am fine, have a little fun with it.

I am sure everything you all use is 100% brand new and state of the art. The what car do you drive thread obviously proves that. Some people like to stick with what works for them and suits there purposes. Hotmail is just fine for me, but hey, by all means enjoy your tech geek jokes at my expense.

FWIW, I use hotmail as my spam account as well. Whenever I sign up for something, I use that address. Keeps my other e-mail nice and spam-free.

FWIW, I still run across the occasional hotmail account people use for business.
Oddly enough I see more of those than I see of, say, gmail actually.

And my primary backup email account (i.e. the spam repository as well as one to use when my main account has an odd conflict with an attachment or something) is an old mailcity account, which doesn't technically exist anymore after they were absorbed by Lycos.

Gmail does an unbelievable job of keeping spam out of your inbox - I might have to move 2 or 3 a week to the spam folder - and the spam folder probably gets 50 spam emails per day that I never have to look at...

I switched long ago to using my own domain for email. It is currently hosted by gmail, but it goes to my domain. This makes it much easier to switch between mail clients without having to tell people you changed emails.
