Maniacal Misfitz HT Dynasty.... (Episode 1 - A n00b's hope!)

Well... since we are seriously lacking in HT Dynasty's reports ;) I thought i'd give it ago.

*****W A R N I N G***** I suck at spelling. so no bitching about words i spell wrong aight??? Or ill sick Afoci on ya.

Im gonna use pretty much the same format DK uses. Why mess with perfection??

~~~~~~~~~~~My Divison~~~~~~~~~~~
Over all i'd say my divsion is pretty weak. Only 1 team really scares me and im pretty sure there gonna win the divison. But i should get second place.
Green Mages - They are in there third season under this owner and he just got demoted to Divison V. He's the best team in the divison and its gonna be very tough trying to beat him. Lucky for me i dont have to play him for awhile so ill have time to improve before we go at it.
CristinaFC3 - Not to worried about them. there owner is rarley ever on and he hasnt really done much in the way of improving his team.
PoBOXTeam - This team is OK at best. But i should have no problem thumping them both times we play. I'd look for them to end up around the middle of the divison at seasons end.
Donkey Rapers - i think they will be third place by years end. They have a very tough Defense and a good goalie. But there midfield is horrible and there attack is pretty weak as well.
ESAD - these guys have a passable coach and they've bought a few players on the transfer market. But i still see them finishing in the lower half of the divison. But the owner seems pretty active so dont be surprise if they steadly improve all year.
Witches - hmmm this team is interesting as well. They just sold most of there squad. It looks like there gonna be doing some rebuilding. There gonna be a wait and see. But they could be a third place team if the owner plays his cards right. They might even give me hell for second :)
Boston Bulldogs - this team sucks and the owner isnt very active. They should end the year in 7th or 8th place.
Thats the divison. Right now its kinda weak. But with a couple owners rebuilding, this divison could heat up by the end of the year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Squad~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My team is fairly average for a new squad i'd say.
I got very unlucky when i drew my team and
i only got 3 good players. The rest of my team sucked
big time. So i've had to buy alot of players and
since im terrified of going into debt, i didnt have a
chance to buy any big time players.

My starting winger for now. for some reason he

2 stars a game anyday.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Season Thougts~~~~~~~~~~~
Im happy with this squad. it could be better, it could
be worse. But im not in dept and i shouldnt be in
debt anytime soon. so im happy. I see no reason
why i shouldnt get second place in my divison this year.
There are a couple teams rebuilding though. so i wont
get to optimistic yet. I have no really bad weakness a
s of yet. My midfeild could use a little help. but they
got a weak rating last week Which isnt bad for a
new team.
Nevada Gurus vs Maniacal Misfitz
First match of the season is a cup game vs a bot team.
These guys suck big time and i should demolish them
with little effort.I had to play my starters so i could
keep there form up.
Im playing my usual 4-5-1.
Starters
GK- Jorge Valdés
Right Wingback - Ignacio Ceballos
Central Defender 1 - Omar Nairn
Central Defender 2 - Ismael Ferreira da Silva
Left Wingback - Chip Fountaine
Left Winger - Stuart Troutt
Forward - Seth Ortega
Subs
GK - Micheal Bone
Defender - Blaine Dent
Winger - Jesper Lindhquist
Our starters should blow these guys to peices. Im
interested to see how Alan plays at Inner Mid.
That third Inner Mid spot is up for grabs. i have 3
guys competeing for the same job. but i think once
his form goes up he'll be the starter for good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Match~~~~~~~~~~~

The 5364 spectators at Nevada Bowl were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Nevada started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Ferrando - Jackson, Bernstein, Willis, Noel - Nowak, Person, Kennedy, Kelly - Sellers, Nicholas.

Maniacal tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Valdés - Ceballos, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Fontaine - Eddy, Simon, Magennis, Blanco, Troutt - Ortega.

Seth Ortega delivered a good free kick from an excellent position in the 12th minute, but luck wasn´t on Maniacal´s side this time, the ball going wide. After 40 minutes Maniacal put themselves up by 0 - 1 as Charles Eddy finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Marvin Noel found unusually much space for his snappy footwork. The away team´s Alexander Blanco took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 40:th minute increasing Maniacal´s lead to 0 - 2. Halftime score was 0 - 2. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 76 percent possession of the ball.

Ignacio Ceballos unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all, and Charles Eddy forwarded it into goal for 0 - 3 The structure of the game started to change as Maniacal decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The visitors Alan Magennis took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 61st minute. 0 - 4 for Maniacal. Ignacio Ceballos increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 5. Marvin Noel received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 71st minute and almost caused an opponent to score. Kahudi Widodo Simon came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Manuel Ferrando, hitting the bar. As usual, Ismael Ferreira da Silva tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard this day and he couldn´t keep the pace at all. Samuel Nicholas challenged the visitors full backs eagerly, producing a good chance in the 81st minute as he went for a through ball combination. But as so many times before, the guest´s defensive efforts got the best of it. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 90 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Nevada player was without a doubt Samuel Nicholas. However, Wiley Jackson made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Seth Ortega. Alan Magennis was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 5.

Im overall pretty happy with the game. I was a little upset
at how long it took us to score our first goal. But we
coasted after that. The midfield needs a little help.
Alan Magennis 1 1/2 stars was a disappointment. But once
i get him to passable form he should be ok. Charles Eddy pounding home 2 goals was kind of a surprise and
my Wingback Ignacio Ceballos getting 2 goals
also was very shocking :)
But all in all it was a good warm-up match for our first
league game on sunday were we'll be squaring
off vs The Witches.

Up next the league opener vs the witches!!! stay tuned

well.... here we go!! first league game of the season!!
Im excited but kinda nervous at the same time. i think im
better then this team, But not by much and they have
home field advantage.. They've got a strong attack and
an O.K. defense. There Goalie is suspect and so is there
midfield, but then again so is mine. :)

Same line-up as last week. Gonna keep a close eye
on Alan again. if he doesnt start cranking out 2 stars
a game i might replace him with Leo. But Leo's stamina
is terrible and i cant seem to make it go up. So since
Leo's stam sucks right now, Alan's job is safe.

~~~~~~~~~~~The Match~~~~~~~~~~~
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 7220 to The Pentacle. Witches started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Ralston - Flowers, Eiriz, Mcintyre, Thorn - Bausa Lopez, Stensson, Cohen, Hubbard - Metz, Crow.
Maniacal started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Valdés - Ceballos, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Fontaine - Eddy, Simon, Magennis, Blanco, Troutt - Ortega.
Maniacal took the lead in the games 4:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Alexander Blanco was the scorer. José María Bausa Lopez of Witches received a yellow card in the 12th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 0 - 2 was a funny story: the seemingly nonchalant lob from Maniacal´s Chip Fontaine landed at the feet of Stuart Troutt who sent it into the net - goal! Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 23rd minute Maniacal goal, making it 0 - 3. Ismael Ferreira da Silva was noted down as the scorer. Witchess Timothy Hubbard went wide in the 28:th minute, recieving a brilliant pass slicing through the visiting teams central defense line, putting the 1 - 3 goal away. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Maniacal, bringing the final ball possession rate to 55 percent, dominated the battle.
Maniacal came close to extending their lead as Alan Magennis delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was to sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. It wasn´t a good day at all for Ismael Ferreira da Silva. His powerful style of play didn´t fit the bill this warm day. A well placed corner kick from Seth Ortega was followed by Alexander Blanco´s hard but accurate header. The nice combination meant 1-4 for Maniacal. The structure of the game started to change as Maniacal decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. In the 80:th minute Maniacal put themselves up 1 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Charles Eddy. Maniacals Ismael Ferreira da Silva got himself booked after a foul. Seth Ortega increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 6. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 58 percent possession of the ball.
The most dominating Witches player was without a doubt Peter Crow. However, Thad Flowers made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Chip Fontaine. Alan Magennis on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 6.
Im kinda surprised we won by this big of a margin.
i expected a much closer battle, espically since they
were at home. My team played almost as expected.
I was a little upset Omar and Alan only got 1 1/2 stars.
But everyone else played pretty good.
League Scores
Green Mages - Donkey Rapers 3 - 1
This one went as expected. The Donkey Rapers
Defense kept the score close. But they never really
had a chance. The Green mages are just all around
a solid team.
CristinaFC3 - Boston Bulldo 6 - 0
I expect this one to be a little closer then it was.
Nether one of there teams are very good and i thought
the Bulldogs would put a little more of a fight.
PoBOXTeam - ESAD 6-2
Pretty much how i thought this one would turn out.
Neither one of these guys are any good. But PoBOXTeam
is a little better.
Coming up next is this weeks cup game!! I'll be playing
a human team this week. But they look to be pretty weak.
Alright.... Cup game number 2. Im at home this time
but it really doesnt matter. These guys suck. How the
bot team they played in the first round didnt beat the
shit outta them i'll never know. There Offense sucks,
there defense sucks and there Midfield.... well i cant
think of a word to discribe how bad they fucking are.
This will be a peice of cake.
Im playing mainly back-ups here. The only starters are
Jorge Valdés my goalkeeper, Alexander Blanco my inner
Midfielder, Alan Megennis another inner middy and Stuart
Troutt my winger. I should have just played all my back-ups
but i didnt wanna screw up and lose the game cause my
back-ups fucked up. Anyway... i should still whip them
pretty good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~The Match~~~~~~~~~~

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 7000 to
Maniacal Misfitz Arena. Maniacal started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Valdés - Nilsson, Herjólfsson, Vogt, Lindhquist - Markhus, Magennis, Blanco, Dugan, Troutt - Montoya.

Turtle started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Hacker - Boykin, Quintanilla, Ramos, Connolly - Wiggins, Crane, Hager, Jung - Holloway, Romero.

Johan Nilsson received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 4:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. The 10:th minute saw the home team take a 1 - 0 lead after a leak in the visitors right side defense. Scorer for Maniacal was Alan Magennis. In the 17:th minute Turtles Jimmie Ramos received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Ossie Montoya almost managed to score another goal for Maniacal, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Maniacal´s Ossie Montoya putting the lead up to 2 - 0. The structure of the game started to change as Maniacal decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The teams went for a half-time break at 2 - 0. Maniacal, bringing the final ball possession rate to 78 percent, dominated the battle.

The home side´s Alan Magennis came close to extending the lead in the 46:th minute. His shot came in off the right hand side but Bob Hacker managed saving with a fingernail. A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 49 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Maniacal. However, Bob Hacker made a spectacular save. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Ossie Montoya squirmed himself through the central defense line in the 73rd minute, asserting the lead to 3 - 0. Ossie Montoya increased Maniacals lead to 4 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. This third goal made a hat trick for Ossie Montoya. Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 83 percent possession rate.

most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Stuart Troutt. Ossie Montoya was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Turtle player was without a doubt Marvin Connolly. Omar Quintanilla on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.

As expected our back-ups handled them pretty well.
Alot of these guys havent played in 3 weeks. So there
form is all shot to hell. But there were a couple surprise
performances. Leo Dugan played great, his stamina is now
at poor. If i can get it to passable ill be able to start him at
inner mid which will help. Ossie Montoya got my first ever
HATTRICK!!! kinda funny that he got it considering he is
probally the worse player on my team. go figure :)

Einar Markhus was kind of a let down. He is Passable winger
and eventually he will replace Eddy as a starter. But his
form is at Wretched and he only got me 1 star. Hopefully
in a few weeks i can get him to inadequate form and get
him into my starting line-up. But Eddy must know his in
trouble because he's been playing like a stud the
last couple weeks. All in all it was a good game
for my back-ups. I cant complain.

Big News First!!

Well i got good news and bad news.

Good news first.....

I Finally stopped talking about selling Seth Ortega to upgrade my stadium and i did it. It was a tough decision but after looking through the Transfer lists all morning and bidding on a bunch of guys to replace Seth i finally found this little gem just waiting for ME!!

Yuri Ruiter
77 000 US$, 27 years, passable form
Has poor experience and solid leadership abilities [Technical]

Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: passable
Winger: disastrous Defending: inadequate
Scoring: passable Set Pieces: passable

I only paid 14,500 for him

This is an outright steal. He is a 2 1/2 star a game forward.
He's also in top form and he has Solid Leadership!! 2 of my last 3 transfer picks have been great. i got this winger last week for only 2,000 bucks.

Einar Markhus
25 000 US$, 29 years, poor form
Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities [Head]

Stamina: solid Keeper: wretched
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: weak
Winger: passable Defending: weak
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: passable

Once his form gets up to passable he's a 2 1/2 star a game kinda guy as well. There are deals all over the Transfer Market, you just gotta be patient.

The Bad News.......

Im really gonna miss Seth Ortega :(
He is a beast. Once his form hits passable he'll be a 3 star a game forward everygame. If any of you more exp. guys with some money are in need of a solid forward here's Seth's skills.

Seth Ortega
160 000 US$, 25 years, inadequate form
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities

Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: passable
Winger: weak Defending: poor
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: weak

Deadline: 4/16/2003 at 00:59

The Bidding starts at 160,000 but i expect him to sell for between 200,000k - 300,000k. That will be plenty to upgrade my arena and still have a little cash to burn afterwards.

Training Update

Well, it wasnt the greatest training week ever but something wierd happened. i guy i didnt play at defense went up in defense. I've never heard of that happening before. Maybe its a bug or something but who cares, ill take it :)

It was Per Godland my back-up forward. He didn't even play a game last weak and his defense still bumped from poor to weak. Besides him bumping noone else went up in defense.

Not the greatest form week ever either.

6 guys went up in form including 3 starters
But 8 guys went down :mad: Including 3 starters

Not bad considering i added a few players. Next weeks should look alot different. I have a home game on sunday, My cup game should get me about 20k, and selling Seth should get me a big chunk of change. But then ill upgrade my stadium with that money. I still should make a very nice profit next week.

Up next, this weeks League game vs CristinaFC3

Havok 04-13-2003 09:02 AM

Quick question.... who would you make youe team captain???

This guy.......

Alexander Blanco (8787050)
27 years, passable form, healthy

A popular guy who is calm and upright.
Has wretched experience and passable leadership abilities

or this guy........

Yuri Ruiter (10693028)
27 years, passable form, healthy

A controversial person who is balanced and honest.
Has poor experience and solid leadership abilities

Yuri's got Solid leadership but he is Controversial and Alexander has Passble leadership and he is a popular guy.

whaddya think??

Doug5984 04-13-2003 01:55 PM

I think I read somewhere that team captain has more to do with experience and a little with leadership....so if that is the case then Ruiter should be your guy.

RonnieDobbs 04-13-2003 03:12 PM

That's true, Doug, but I also read in the game rules the following:

All players have a "personality". They can be nice or nasty, leaders or loners, temperamental or calm, or why not cheaters or something else? Leadership and agreeability are only applied to the player with the highest leadership factor, "the team leader". If this person is agreeable, the teams athmosphere will be as well, and if he´s nasty you might end up with a really nasty atmosphere in your squad. A coach with strong leadership abilities might counteract a disagreeable "team leader" amongst the players.

So, would this indicate that Ruiter's controversial nature would hinder his leadership to some degree? That's how I've interpreted it. Havok's coach is passable in leadership, so I don't think he'd counteract it that much. But, then again, how important is nature vs. leadership ability?

I'd say just get a clown and don't worry about it anymore. That's on my to-do list.

RonnieDobbs 04-13-2003 03:14 PM

Dola... got confused about captain vs. leader... the rules agree with you on captain Doug.

sterlingice 04-13-2003 03:57 PM

Now you know why Yuri was so cheap- he's death to team spirit. Unless you have another solid leadership guy, he is, by default, your "team leader". Unfortunately, your coach, the only guy who can really counteract that, is also controversial so... well, hmm... you're doomed to mediocre team spirit at best so PIC games if you can.

The good news, however, is that Yuri will be a good onfield "team captain"- as that is basically an addition of experience + leadership and he's pretty good on both.

SI

Havok 04-13-2003 04:15 PM

well... since there are a couple weak teams in my divison i'll be able to PIC once every couple weeks so it wont be to much of a problem hopefully. I guess we'll wait and see.

johnnyveigns 04-13-2003 05:35 PM

Well if everything I've been seeing here is true, I have facts to back it up. My team captain:

Erasmo Eiriz
27 years, passable form, healthy
A pleasant guy who is calm and honest.
Has weak experience and solid leadership abilities

has been my team captain since I got the team. With the exception when I hired to many coaches and they decided not to get along, or when I acquired a couple different players, my team spirit has jumped leaps & bounds and I've never PIC always "Normal" or "MOTS.

Havok 04-13-2003 11:11 PM

Season - 1 - League Game - Round 2

Maniacal Misfitz VS CristinaFC3

I shouldnt have much of a problem with these guys. There the first place team in the league buts thats only because they played a shitty team last weak and killed them 6-0. There Midfield is pretty good, but there offense and defense sucks big time.

Also... this will be Seth Ortega's last game in a Misfitz uniform :(
Maybe he can light things up for me as a going away present.

Starters

GK- Jorge Valdés

Right Wingback - Ignacio Ceballos
Central Defender 1 - Omar Nairn
Central Defender 2 - Ismael Ferreira da Silva
Left Wingback - Chip Fountaine

Right Winger - Charles Eddy
Inner Mid 1 - Alexander Blanco (Captain)
Inner Mid 2 - Kahudi Widodo Simon
Inner Mid 3 - Alan Magennis
Left Winger - Stuart Troutt

Forward - Seth Ortega

Subs

GK - Micheal Bone
Defender - Blaine Dent
Winger - Jesper Lindhquist
Inner Mid - Leo Dugan
Forward - Yuri Ruiter

Same line-up as my last league game. Except my new forward Yuri will be the back-up forward. Im gonna keep an eye on Omar Nairn this game. He had a big form drop from last week (Inadequate to poor). Im gonna see if he can play through it but if his form doesn't go back up by the team league game ill have to bench him. Im also keeping an eye on my Goalkeeper Jorge Valdés, His form just dropped to Inadequate so that might be a problem.

~~~~~~~~~~~~The Match~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Maniacal Misfitz Arena saw a crowd turnout of 7000. People from all of Florida had joined up for the derby. Maniacal tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Valdés - Ceballos, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Fontaine - Eddy, Simon, Magennis, Blanco, Troutt - Ortega.
CristinaFC3 had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Phillips - Daniels, Smiley, Abendańo - Garland, Robert, Polanco, Hines, Swee-Seng - Stokes, Munson.
Maniacal took the lead in the 4:th minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Alexander Blanco elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Visitors Ned Stokes was alert on a play coming in from the left, making the score a tie at 1 - 1 in the 14:th minute. Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 19:th minute goal by Seth Ortega for Maniacal, putting them ahead 2 - 1. Maniacals Ismael Ferreira da Silva got himself booked after a foul. David Polanco received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 41st minute and almost caused an opponent to score. Seth Ortega increased Maniacals lead to 3 - 1 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. 3 - 1 was the half-time score. Maniacal, bringing the final ball possession rate to 52 percent, dominated the battle.
A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Maniacal´s Ignacio Ceballos putting the lead up to 4 - 1. The referee showed CristinaFC3s Ken Hines the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. CristinaFC3 had a fair chance to reply after 65 minutes, due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end no one was there to put their head to the ball as it was lifted into the box. CristinaFC3 held the ball, with a clear 52 percent possession rate.
The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Chip Fontaine. Omar Nairn on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating CristinaFC3 player was without a doubt Ned Robert. However, Ken Hines made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 1.
Seth came through in his last game!!! Netting 2 goals and dominating up front. And also as expect Omar Narin and Jorge Valdés both played like crap. Depending on how much i have left over after i sell Seth and upgrade my stadium i might grab a passable Goalie. Even though droping a 100k on one player isnt the greatest idea for a new team it will help my defensive ratings out alot. But i could just be jumping the gun here. When Jorge is in Passable form he gets me 2 stars. So hopefully his form will bump back up to passable this weekend.
The game overall went about as planned and I won 4-1. There midfield played pretty good as expected but there O-fense and D-fense let them down. First place in the divison!!! :) (for now)
Around the League
Donkey Rapers - vs - Witches 0 - 1
Fellow FOFC'er Johnny is the GM of the Witches. I think he got a tougher then expect game from the Donkey Rapers. They took the lead early with a goal from the star forward Peter crow. But they just couldnt find the net the rest of the game. Donkey's strong defense and there excellent goalie John Youngblood kept them in the game. But in the end.... The Witches prevailed.
ESAD - vs - Green Mages 0 - 2
Im kinda surprised that the Green Mages only won this game 2-0. They dominated the possession by 64% and 76% but they just kept blowing there scoring chances.
Boston Bulldogs - vs - PoBOXTeam 3 - 1
I think i may have underestimated the bulldogs. They played a pretty good game today. After looking over there team ratings there team doesnt look quite as bad as i had originaly thought. There still few players away from contending, but it should be interesting to watch them over the course of the season and see how they progress.
Quick update
It seems my divison isnt so weak after all. According to http://usa.hatstats.info/
We are the 26th strongest League in Divison V out of 256.
I guess with the Bulldogs recent turn around and the Mages, Witches, Rapers and me all being pretty good teams this could be a very interesting Divison to watch :)
Stay tuned......
RonnieDobbs 04-14-2003 06:48 PM
I see that Mr. Ortega will definitely be leaving the Misfitz... that's the way it goes though. Once you are selling out your new digs you'll be all "Seth who?" :)
Havok 04-14-2003 07:25 PM
yeah... ill miss him. but when the 15,000 seat Arena is rocking during home games it will make it all worth it :)
Breaking news update!!!!
well... once again i woke up earley as shit in the morning and had nothing better to do before work, so i scanned the Transfer market for awhile. Mainly looking at passable keepers. i came across about 5 that i was interested in. But they all quickly went out of my price range. I was just looking for bargins.... no serious bidding really. But i place a 53k big on this one guy 2 hours before the bidding was up. and wouldn't ya know it...... NOONE ELSE BID!!!!
i got a passable keeper for 53k!! i was so happy i was jumping up and down in my apartment!! :) The other 4 guys i was bidding on went for between 80k-100k.and one went for 65k (he was 32 years old) So once again i get a lucky break on the Transfer market. I suck at pulling youth but im getting lucky buying players.
here's my new starting goalie.
Vlad "The Impaler" Nutiu
194 000 US$, 30 years, weak form
Has inadequate experience and poor leadership abilities
Stamina: excellent Keeper: passable
Playmaking: wretched Passing: wretched
Winger: wretched Defending: wretched
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: weak
he's 30 and his value is pretty high. i dont think he'll be declining to Inadequate anytime soon :)
My team is basically complete now. i wont have to buy anyone else off the market for awhile. maybe an occansional young trainee but besides that, im good.
The bidding on Seth Ortega is up to 170k with about 13 hours to go. Im hopeing to get at least 200k for him, But hopefully much more. i guess we'll have to wait and see.
Stay tuned
Havok 04-15-2003 06:30 PM
Breaking News.....
Seth Ortega Sold today for 247k to a divison V club in England. He will be missed but that money is well worth it. In 9 days my arena will seat 15,150 Screaming Misfitz Fans!!!
Ill have 10,000 Terraces seats, 4,000 Basic Seats, 1,000 Seats under roof and 150 VIP seats. It came out to exactly 200k. My Financial report so far this weak looks like this.........
Cash funds: 25 531 US$ (999) US$
Sponsors: satisfied
Supporter Club: 630 members
Supporters: high on life
This week
Revenue-----------------------Expenses
Crowd 32 000----------------Arena 3 900
daedalus 04-16-2003 08:33 PM
I don't know if you already have a clown on your team already but, if not, I'd look for one fairly quick. You should be able to find a non-playing clown for cheap that will let you counteract Yuri's, ahem, "disposition". I still think he's a good buy for that price and what he can bring to the team at this point, you'll just need to work around him with a clown. I also think Nutiu is a good buy. He's not your "keeper of the future" at 30 but hopefully you'll have enough to afford a younger solid by the time you need one anyhow. Or, y'know, win the FOFC "You Suck!" award with a solid keeper youth pull. :)
PS - Given Yuri's disposition and the definition of a Hattie 'clown', can we call Yuri 'assclown'? (Perhaps not to his face.)
Edit: Because I spell like bbor. *sigh*
Season - 1 - USA Cup - Round 3
Maniacal Misfitz - VS - THE BRONCOS
Unless god himself comes down and grants the Misfitz a miricle ill be out of the USA cup after this game. I've drawn a very tough Divison 4 team. He averages around 29-31 stars a game. So i've decided im just gonna play my back-ups and PIC the game.
I think if i played my starters and MOTS'ed it i'd have a small chance of winning. But the hit to my teams Spirit just isnt worth it. I'll just take my ass-whopping here and move on.
Starters
Gk - Vladimir Nutiu (my new goalie)
Right Wingback - Johan Nilsson
Central Defender 1 - Blaine Dent
Cebtral Defender 2 - Kahudi Widodo Simon
Cebtral Defender 3 - Jökull Herjólfsson
Left Wingback - Jesper Lindhquist
Right Winger - Einar Markhus
Inner Midfielder 1 - Leo Dugan
Inner Midfielder 2 - Jerome Hidalgo
Left Winger - Per Godland
Forward - Yuri Ruiter (my new forward)
Subs
Gk - Jorge Valdés
Defender - Chip Vogt
Inner Midfielder - Alexander Blanco
Winger - Charles Eddy
Forward - Stuart Troutt
I'll be playing my new passable Goalie and my new Starting Forward so there form doesnt drop for not playing a league game this week. But besides that im playing all back-ups. Im also running a 5-4-1 for the first time so i can train 5 defender's.
The Match
At Maniacal Misfitz Arena, 7000 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Maniacal had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. They fielded: Nutiu - Nilsson, Simon, Herjólfsson, Dent, Lindhquist - Markhus, Dugan, Hidalgo, Godland - Ruiter.
BRONCOS tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. They fielded: Gore - Borgsten, Hultlind, Josefsson - Dobrea, Grimes, Cunningham, van Asseldonk - Högskär, Wright, Tomlin.
A mistake by the home sides central defence in the 8:th minute allowed Ty Tomlin to score 0 - 1 for BRONCOS. Jökull Herjólfsson of Maniacal received a yellow card in the 20:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 27 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Keith Grimes who increased BRONCOS´s lead to 0 - 2. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, BRONCOS´s Keith Grimes got himself booked. In the 36:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as Ty Tomlin finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Keith Grimes increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. By now BRONCOS were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. 0 - 4 was the half-time score. BRONCOS held the ball, with a clear 72 percent possession rate.
BRONCOS´s Keith Grimes made it through the home teams defence in the 64:th minute, and had only to place the ball in an unguarded goal when the home side´s defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line. In the game's 70:th minute Maniacal´s Yuri Ruiter limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. After 73 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Ĺke Hultlind who increased BRONCOS´s lead to 0 - 5. BRONCOS's Mats Josefsson scored 0 - 6 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net. BRONCOS´s Ted Wright received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 80:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 7. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. BRONCOS´s Keith Grimes received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 88:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 8. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. By then Keith Grimes was a three time scorer - a hat trick! BRONCOS held the ball, with a clear 75 percent possession rate.
The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Yuri Ruiter. Jökull Herjólfsson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating BRONCOS player was without a doubt Wally Gore. However, Ted Wright made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
That fucking sucked.... but i knew it would. My first non-friendly loss ever :( ohh well, no biggie. He even played his back-up midfielders but he played his starting forwards and they killed me.
ok.... lets try to find some good in all this shall we??. My new goalie played ok considering he's in weak form. Hopefully he'll get to Inadequate or higher for my league match on sunday so he can put up 2 1/2 stars. Both my young wingback's played pretty good getting 2 stars a piece and my new forward Yuri played ok getting 2 stars.... he probally would have had 2 1/2 but he got an injury during the game. He's bruised but playing.... i might rest him during the next league game if he's still injured and play my young back-up forward Per Godland. I'll wait and see.
The Bad.... well alot of players played like shit. Both my wingers did but i'm pretty sure i know why. I played them both Defensive and neither one of them are any good defensive. Blain Dent played like crap again.... hopefully his form will go up from Wretched soon. Jökull Herjólfsson also played like shit... his form is wretched also. I only lost 3 supporters which isnt to bad considering how bad we got crushed, But my Team Confidence went from Strong to wretched!!!!. since i PIC'ed the game my Team Spirit only dropped 1 level to Calm.
Up next... Training update
Havok 04-18-2003 09:21 AM
Training Update
Not a bad training week. i had one starter bump in defending. Ismael Ferreria Da Silva bumped to passable Defending. He's been a 2 star a game guy so far... hopefully soon he'll start grabing me 2 1/2 stars a game. He's the only one that bumped but i got a few more who are very close. It was a average form week.
3 guys increased there form (2 starters)
3 guys lost form ( 2 starters)
My new goalie dropped to poor form :(
So i have a Inadequate Goalie with Inadequate form and a passable goalie with Poor form. Ill just play Vlad my passable goalie. Hopefully he'll grab me 2 stars but more then likely he'll only grab me 1 1/2. Lucky for me im playing one of the worse teams in the league this week so it shouldn't matter to much.
Kahudi Widodo Simon is starting to worry me a little. He's a starting inner mid and his form has went from Solid to weak in the past 3 weeks. Hopefully he'll turn it around soon or i might have to replace him.
Newbie question....is there any way to track skill/form changes other than keeping records of what they were pre-training?
daedalus 04-18-2003 12:45 PM
Those of us not insanely meticulous with our records like DataKing (you can see how he gets that name!) generally go with an external program. The two common ones I've heard mentioned here have been HAM and HattrickPoli. HAM will require a registration of $7 beyond the first month. But it's Hattrick-approved and will allow you to fetch match results. HattrickPoli is still waiting approval and not quite as fleshed out at the moment but will still allow you to track your changes.
Havok 04-18-2003 01:11 PM
yeah... i use Hattrickpoli
its pretty good
DukeRulesMAB 04-18-2003 01:30 PM
When ever you want really, but I usually do it every other day or so. Always on game days and friday, but otherwise whenever.
daedalus 04-18-2003 04:14 PM
People with sanity probably look at it most gamedays and possibly some time after the update occur to see if any popping occurs.
Proper Hattrick-a-holic, of course, loads it daily. Just in case.
My Youth pull sucked big time again. I cant really remember his skills very much because when i pulled him last night it was 3:30 in the morning and i was drunk as hell. But Im pretty sure they were all mostly wretched. My youth squad is still at Inadequate but i think it will bump to passable next week.
Season - 1 - League Game - Round - 3
Maniacal Misfitz - vs - PoBOXTeam
This week i play The PoBOXTeam, this is the first team i ever played. Last time i played them was the last game of last season. I won 3-0.There team is a little better now and so is mine. But im still clearly the better team. I shouldn't have a problem beating these guys.
There's another important game being played today aswell. The Witches (Owned by fellow FOFC'er Johnny) takes on the leagues best team The Green Mages. Im really hoping Johnny can pull out a win or even a tie would be nice cause then if i win, i'll have soul possession of first place.
Inner Mid - Alan Magennis
Forward - Per Godland
I have a couple new starters this week. My new gaolie Vlad "The Impaler" Nutiu and my new forward Yuri Ruiter will get there first league game starts for my team. Also Leo Dugan will make his first start this season as well, He'll be replacing Alan Magennis at Inner Mid.
Im a little worried about a few players this game. Yuri is "bruised but playing" so i dont expect a big game outta him. Kahudi Widodo Simon's form is down to weak which is gonna hurt my midfield rating and my new goalie Vlad's form is at poor.
Here we go!
The Match
The crowd of 4060 turning up at PoBOXTeam Arena today were greeted by some nasty showers of rain. PoBOXTeam started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Schuster - Martin, Baird, Lankford - Overstreet, Rouse, Gill, Stiles, Maza - Tyson, Cintron.
Maniacal tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Nutiu - Ceballos, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Fontaine - Eddy, Simon, Blanco, Dugan, Troutt - Ruiter.
PoBOXTeam had a good opportunity to take the lead as Donald Cintron came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into thearms of Vladimir Nutiu. Alexander Blanco sailed high, high above the opponents as he headed the 0-1 in after a corner kick after 10 minutes of play. What ever got into Chip Fontaine, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through the own defense - ending up right in front of PoBOXTeam´s Donald Cintron, who easily put the ball away for 1-1. Maniacal will have to do without Stuart Troutt for a time due to a bad foot injury. He was substituted by Jesper Lindhquist. PoBOXTeam could have put themselves ahead in the 41st minute as José Rouse missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. In the 42nd minute Donald Cintron almost put the home team one ahead on a cross pass coming in from the right, but the shot went wide. Charles Eddy of Maniacal received a yellow card in the 43rd minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 1. PoBOXTeam held the ball, with a clear 55 percent possession rate.
PoBOXTeam were very close to putting themselves one up in the 48:th minute as Donald Cintron got through, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. PoBOXTeam´s Derrick Baird left the field after 48 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Terry Templeton. After 62 minutes Maniacals Yuri Ruiter made his way through the middle, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. Marty Lankford of PoBOXTeam received a yellow card in the 68:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. In the 70:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as Leo Dugan finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Leo Dugan of Maniacal received a yellow card in the 74:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. PoBOXTeam held the ball, with a clear 62 percent possession rate.
The most dominating PoBOXTeam player was without a doubt Lorenzo Maza. Kraig Schuster on the other hand, had a terrible day. Maniacal´s best player was Chip Fontaine. Leo Dugan on the other hand, had a terrible day.The match ends 1 - 3.
The was bad..... very bad. I won the game on the road which is good. But my team didnt play to well. I should have beaten this team by more then 3-1.This was my worst Midfield performance in a long time. Kahudi Widodo Simon's weak form hurt us alot. I hope he pull's out of it soon.... i cant have poor midfield ratings and expect to win very often. Losing Stuart Troutt for 4 weeks is gonna hurt alot. He's been my best winger this year and one of the better player's on my team. Lucky for me i have a couple good back-up wingers but its still gonna hurt my offense and my midfield alot.
But the good news is my defense played very well even though my goalie played terrible. i got my first ever 3 star rating from Chip Fountaine and my other wingback Ignacio Ceballos got his first ever 2 1/2 star rating :) I think Ignacio is gonna pop to Solid defending very soon. Also my new forward Yuri played ok getting me 2 stars and scoring a goal. Hopefully he'll be fully healed by next game and put up the 2 1/2 star ratings i know he's capable of.
Around The League
CristinaFC3 - vs - Donkey Rapers 4 - 0
The poor Donkey Rapers.... They've only scored 1 goal in 3 league games now. There defense is very strong but there lack of midfield and offense is killing them. I thought they'd end the year around 3rd or 4th place. But with the way there playing now, there in danger of being auto-demoted.
ESAD - vs - Boston Bulldogs 1 - 3
This game went pretty much as expected but it could have easly been 6-1. The Bulldogs dominated the ball possession and got alot of scoring chances, they're looking better and better every week. I play them in 2 weeks at there house so that should be a very tough game.
Witches - vs - Green Mages 1 - 1
Well Johnny did it!!! a 1-1 tie against the best team in the divison is a victory in itself. If the Witches wouldn't have missed on some of there earlier scoring chances they could have pulled out the victory. But thanks to this tie, i now sit in first place in the divison all by myself!!! :)
Breaking News.....
well... after a lackluster Midfield performance last week i realized that im kinda thin in the midfield department. So i decided to fix that today. I've just added 2 new midfielders to the squad and here they are!!!!
Haldor Gravem (7557999)
22 years, poor form, healthy
Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities.
Nationality: Norge
Assessed value: 42 000 US$
Owner: Maniacal Misfitz
Warnings: 0
Stamina: weak Goaltending: wretched
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: passable
Winger: weak Defending: weak
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: wretched
Paid 11,000
Haldor is an average middy. He wont blow anyone out of the water but once his form and stamina go up some he'll be a solid 2 star a game Offensive middy. Im pretty sure his stam and form will go up quickly because there not to bad now considering he hasn't played a game in a month and a half.
Im also gonna try to get this guy some defensive training. if i can bump him to Inadequate defending he will be a good all-around middy.
Mathias Liebers (3659315)
26 years, inadequate form, healthy
Has poor experience and passable leadership abilities.
Nationality: Deutschland
Assessed value: 61 000 US$
Owner: Maniacal Misfitz
Warnings: 0
Stamina: excellent Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: inadequate
Winger: poor Defending: poor
Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: wretched
Paid 16,000
I like this guy :) He's another average 2 star a game Offensive Middy but His value is pretty high which leads me to believe he is a high Inadequate in playmaking. I've looked over his past games and he always gets at least 2 stars a game and in Solid form he's a 2 1/2 star a game which will be nice if i can ever get him to Solid form :)
Ill be 41k in debt after this week if i dont sell someone so i decided to sell this guy........
Alan Magennis
52 000 US$, 18 years, inadequate form
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities
Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: poor
Winger: wretched Defending: poor
Scoring: passable Set Pieces: wretched
I really have no use for him now. He was the first player i ever bought and he was gonna be a back-up forward for me but i've been playing him at Inner mid and he's only getting me 1 1/2 stars a game. But i have another back-up forward now and there's no point in keeping Alan around.
Since he is only 18 and has passable scoring, good form, good stamina and good Assessed Value he should at least get me 30k but i have a feeling he'll go for a little higher.
Press Announcement
The Misfitz add 2.....
In a not to surprising move Misfitz GM added 2 new Midfielders to the squad today. After yesterdays poor midfielding against POBOXteam, GM Bryan vowed to improve it.
Haldor Gravem and Mathias Liebers were just bought hours ago and are expected to play in wednesday's friendly vs Ultra Nox. Chip Vogt was fired today in order to make room for the new midfielders and rumor has it that back-up forward/midfielder Alan Magennis will be put on the transfer wire by days end.
Up next, This weeks Friendly Vs Ultra Nox.....
Season - 1 - Friendly Game - Round 3
Ultra Nox - vs - Maniacal Misfitz
Today we have a friendly vs Qwikshots "Ultra Nox". I'd much rather be playing a cup game but i have alot of guys in crappy form so this game will help alot. Qwikshot has built one hell of a team very fast, even though it took him 2 teams to get it right :)
It should be a pretty boring game since im running a 5-4-1.
Starters
Right Wingback - Jesper Lindhquist
Central Defender 1 - Jökull Herjólfsson
Central Defender 2 - Kahudi Widodo Simon
Central Defender 3 - Blaine Dent
Left Wingback - Johan Nilsson
Right Winger - Per Godland
Inner Midfielder 1 - Mathias Liebers
Inner Midfielder 2 - Haldor Gravem
Left Winger - Einar Markhus
Forward - Alan Magennis
Like i said before i have a couple guys in really shitty form and i hope this game help's. Right now Einar Markhus is in poor form but he is very good winger, Im hoping i can get him to Inadequate(or higher) so he can fill in for Stuart Troutt(who is injuried) for my game 2 weeks from now vs The Bulldogs. I dont need him this week cause im playing a pretty crappy team. I also need Blaine Dent to get out of wretched form. He's a 23 year old passable defender and once i get him to Inadequate form im gonna sell him and buy a younger Defensive trainee.
Both my new inner midfielders will play there first game with the squad today. Mathias Liebers is in inadequte form and Haldor Gravem is in poor form. Whoever plays the best of the two and has the best form by sunday will play in my league game.
The Match
A scorching day at Ultra Nox Arena, where 368 spectators were in place for today´s match. Ultra had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Supriyadi - Nuijens, Marusic, Emilsson - Hansson, Cabras, Delay, Isobe, Josefsson - Svarva , Zabawa.
Maniacal tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. Lineup: Valdés - Lindhquist, Simon, Herjólfsson, Dent, Nilsson - Godland, Liebers, Gravem, Markhus - Magennis.
Eli Svarva gave his Ultra the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. In the 24:th minute Maniacals Blaine Dent received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Maniacal seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. Bartlomiej Zabawa should probably have put his team up another goal in the 29:th minute, but some great goaltending by Jorge Valdés kept the visitors in the game. In the 34:th minute Maniacals Mathias Liebers received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. In the games 37:th minute Ultra´s Tord Emilsson fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Tord Emilsson for taking a dive. In the to 40:th minute a very unfortunate collision in the home teams penalty area led to Ultra´s Yuki Isobe being carried off the pitch and replaced by Jin Ming-Chung. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 0. Ultra held the ball, with a clear 73 percent possession rate.
The Maniacal players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. In the games 47:th minute, Tord Emilsson could have extended the lead, but his very hard free kick went just over the bar. Maniacal appeared unsure on how to play. Christian Hansson didn´t pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Jorge Valdés was caught napping a bit later as Tord Emilsson lifted a ball over him after a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keepers arms. Einar Markhus made a run for the goal in the 81st minute but the home teams far left defense managed to sort the situation out in the end. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Maniacal´s Johan Nilsson got himself booked. Maniacal seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. Ultra held the ball, with a clear 70 percent possession rate.
Most important Ultra player was Tord Emilsson. Jin Ming-Chung on the other hand, had a terrible day.Most important Maniacal player was Jesper Lindhquist. Blaine Dent on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 0.
Well, That went pretty much as expected. I thought i'd lose more like 2-0 or 3-0 so im happy only losing 1-0.
The Bad..... Blaine Dent played like crap again... that wretched form is killing him, same with Jökull Herjólfsson. Haldor Gravem's poor form really hurt his game today, i thought with his poor form he still would have gotten 1 1/2 stars, i guess i was wrong :) and finally Per Godland, he only got 1 star cause he isnt a winger. He's a forward but since i had Alan playing forward i had to stick him somewhere and winger was the only spot open.
The Good..... Mathias Liebers getting me 2 stars is a nice surprise. I thought he'd only get me 1 1/2 since he is in Inadequte form but he played well and got 2 stars. When i bought him the other day i had a feeling he was a "high" Inadequte playmaker since his assesed value was so high. I guess i was right. Both my back-up wingbacks played well and Einar Markhus got me 1 1/2 stars in poor form. Once i get this guy 2 passable form and Stuart Troutt comes back from his injury ill have two 2 1/2 star wingers.... that should help my attack out alot.
P.S. - My next friendly will be vs another FOFC'er, Ill be playing Panther's Tomahawks.
upnext.... This weeks Training update
Havok 04-24-2003 11:02 PM
Training Update
Not a good week of training for me. Not a single dam defender popped. I have a feeling some are getting really close, so hopefully next week.
A very bad form week aswell. 3 starter dropped in form and no starters bumped!!!! My wingers are becoming a serious problem right now. My Best Winger Stuart Troutt is injured for 3 more weeks (probally only 2 more), My other starting winger charles eddy just had his form drop to Inadequate which is a problem cause he's really not that great of a winger but since he was always in passable form or higher i always started him and he'd get 2 stars. Im not sure if he'll get 2 stars in inadequte form.
My Replacment winger for Stuart is Jesper Lindhquist. he's a 2 star winger in passable form but he just dropped to inadequate form also!!! And my other back-up winger is in poor form. So im not sure what the hell im gonna do, but lucky for me im playing a pretty easy game this week so it shouldn't be a problem. But next week i have a tougher game so hopefully by then ill be a little more luck in the form department.
Neither of my goalie's increased in form either. My passable goalie is still in poor form and my inadequate is still in inadequte form. So it looks like another 1 1/2 star showing from my goalie's :( . Form has been kicking my ass as of late. im tempted to train General for a week. But everyone tells me its a waste of time. I guess i'll wait a little longer and see what happens.
3 form increases - (no starters)
3 form decreases - (3 starters)
in other news.....
Not all is bad in the world of Hattrick for me today!!! Once again the Transfer market was very good to me. Since i bought a few midfielder's earlier this week i decided i didnt need this guy anymore....
Alan Magennis (8502503)
I was expecting to get around 35-45k form him but 2 newbies got into a bidding war and he finally went for 80k!!!!!
I bought this guy like over a month ago for 35k and now i just sold him for 80k!!! the only thing thats different about him is his stamina is a little higher then when i bought him.
Gotta love those Hattrick Newbie's!!!! :)
Only paid 4k for him so im happy. He's only 17 plus he's got the Head skill which is ohhhhh sooo nice for a defender :) And his assesed Value leads me to believe he is a couple weeks away from popping.
Ill be placing Blaine Dent on the transfer wire tommarrow to make room for this guy on my back-up team.
He's 19 with Passable defending and Inadequate playmaking. His powerful skill has really been a pain in the ass for me since i play all my home games in florida and it hardly ever rains here :) . I should probally get a nice chunk of change for him. So today at 23:59, Ismael Ferreira da Silva and Blaine Dent wil go on the transfer market.
I paid a little more then i wanted to but he's young and he is a pretty good all around Midfielder. Now my midfield is pretty deep. I only have one Stud Midfielder and thats Alexander Blanco, but now i have 5 other midfielder's who get 2 stars a game (2 1/2 if there in solid or excellent form).
I put Blaine Dent on the transfer Market today but i decided to keep Ismael Ferreira da Silva around. He'll be a Solid defender by the end of the season so i'll wait to sell him then.
But you are right.... they need to take away my transfer market privilages before i do something stupied :)
This is my first ever week of being in debt!!! its only 2k and after my home game i'll be back in the green. But after this week i have back to back away games so unless i get a good youth pull i'll drop about 70-80k in the hole after those two weeks. but then i finish up the season with 5 of my last 8 games at home which will be nice :)
Youth Pull
My best youth pull ever!!!!!!!! but he still sucks. i might be able to sell him for like 5k if im lucky but im not getting my hopes up.
P.S. My youth squad finally hit passable!!! :)
League Game - Season 1 - Round 4
Maniacal Misfitz - vs - ESAD
My first home game in my new stadium :)
I should have no problem spanking ESAD. The owner is pretty active on the transfer market but his team is still pretty bad. They're in last place in the divison and they'll probally finish the year in 7th just above The Donkey Raper's.
The Game of the week in my divison is The Green Mages - vs - Boston Bulldogs. Im sure the Green Mages will whip them pretty good and thats exactly what i want them to do, since i play The Bulldogs next week. I want there Team Spirit to be as low as possible.
Starters
GK - Vladimir Nutiu
Right Wingback - Chip Fontaine
Central Defender 1 - Omar Nairn
Central Defender 2 - Ismael Ferreira da Silva
Left Wingback - Ignacio Ceballos
Right Winger - Charles Eddy
Inner Midfielder 1 - Alexander Blanco
Inner Midfielder 2 - Mathias Liebers
Inner Midfielder 3 - Ewen Buckley
Left Winger - Johan Nilsson
Forward - Yuri Ruiter (Team Captain)
Subs
GK - Jorge Valdés
Defender - Dumitru Burghelea
Inner Midfielder - Kahudi Widodo Simon
Winger - Einar Markhus
Forward - Per Godland
3 new starters from last week. Mathias Liebers and Ewen Buckley are new transfers that i just brought in. Johan Nilsson is normally a Wingback Trainee but since my star winger Stuart Troutt is out this week and my back-up winger is in poor form i decided to let Johan Nilsson get the start. He should to pretty good because he's in solid form but his Wretched Playmaking will hurt the midfield some.
Vlad "The Impaler" Nutiu is still in poor form which is gonna hurt my defensive rating big time. If his form or Jorge's form dont improve after the next training update i might have to go grab a Inadequate goalie with passable form so i can get at least 2 stars a game until Vlad finally comes around.
The Match
Date: 4/28/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 5555092
Arena: Maniacal Misfitz Arena
Crowd: 8825
8825 spectators arrived at Maniacal Misfitz Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Maniacal tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Nutiu - Fontaine, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Ceballos - Eddy, Liebers, Buckley, Blanco, Nilsson - Ruiter.
ESAD tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Sandér - Hook, MacCarthy, Sengupta, Cheng - Mccormick, Monzón, Bonilla, Danielsson - Perez, Cal.
After a fine move down the middle Charles Eddy nearly gave the home side one up in the 10:th minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. The referee showed ESADs Marcos Francisco Monzón the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Ismael Ferreira da Silva went down after a savage challenge, but could keep on playing after some medical attention. A well placed corner kick from Yuri Ruiter was followed by Alexander Blanco´s hard but accurate header. The nice combination meant 1-0 for Maniacal. Maniacal put themselves up 2 - 0 when Yuri Ruiter broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Halftime score was 2 - 0. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 69 percent possession of the ball.
A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 46 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Maniacal. However, Olof Sandér made a spectacular save. In the 50:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Chip Fontaine dashed through, knocking home 3 - 0 for Maniacal. The structure of the game started to change as Maniacal decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 72 percent possession rate.
Most important Maniacal player was Chip Fontaine. Vladimir Nutiu on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important ESAD player was Enrique Cal. Leslie Cheng on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
Not bad.... not bad at all. I dominated the whole game as i expected. I thought i'd score a few more goals but since im missing my best offensive winger i guess im not really that surprised i only scored 3. My Defense put up its best performance ever. If only my dam PASSABLE! Goalie would get at least 2 stars a game my ratings would be Excellent/Excellent/Solid. Poor form sucks!! :)
The Good - Omar Narin put up his first ever 2 1/2 star performance. His assesed value is at 55,000 now, i think he'll be popping to Solid defending soon. Chip Fontaine got another 3 stars for me and Ignacio Ceballos played great and got me 2 1/2 stars.
My Man Yuri Ruiter!!!! He's finally not "bruised, but playing" and he gets me 2 1/2 stars!!!! I love it!!! payed 14,500 for a 2 1/2 star forward :)
The Bad - Once again my goalie lets me down. I was all happy when i grabbed a Passable goalie for 53k, but now its coming back to bite me in the ass. His poor form is killing him and me!! Im not sure what im gonna do if he doesnt improve soon.
Ewen Buckly only picked up 1 1/2 stars in his first start for my team. Im not to surprised, his weak stamina and Inadequate form are a problem. But that should work itself out in a few weeks. i have plenty of back-up midfields now so if he doesnt improve i'll have someone else come in and play.
Around The League
Green Mages - vs - Boston Bulldogs 3 - 1
Im glad the Green Mages won. The Bulldogs are gonna get crushed in there next cup game on wednesday aswell. So there Team Spirit and Team Confidence should be terrible for our game next weekend at there arena.
Donkey Rapers - vs - PoBOXTeam 0 - 2
The "who cares" game of the week. Once again the Donkey Rapers didnt score a goal. There offense and midfield are just horrid.
Witches - vs - CristinaFC3 7 - 1
Former FOFC'er Johnny won easy today. He put up his best stars ever. He has like 2 guys in Excellent form and a few more in solid and passable. Im not sure if he's training general or not but it cant last. I've only ever had 1 guy in excellent form and that lasted 1 week.
Quick Update
Blaine Dent sold today for a little more the expected, 20,000 was the final bid. I cant say im not glad to see him go. His passable defense was nice but after 2 months of Wretched form he had to go. Hopefully he'll turn it around for his new squad. I've got 2 more guys up for sale, but they will probally only fetch between 1,000-5,000 tops.
Im gonna place my Passable keeper on the transfer wire for 85k tonight. His poor form is driving me nutz. I doubt anyone will bite for 85k but if they do i'll use the money to buy another keeper.
P.S. i also decided to place my inadequate goalie on the transfer wire for 40k. If someone bites and takes him i'll go buy another one cheaper.
i got him for 32k!!! but there's a catch..... he's injured for 4 weeks :(
But since i already have 2 doctors because Stuart Trout is out and since this guy is only 20 he should be ready to go in 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. Then i can either sell him for 70-90k or i can sell my other passable/passable forward Yuri. Yuri probally will only sell for around 40k - 50k tops because he has solid leadership and he's controversial so he can hurt your TS if you dont have a clown.
so in a few weeks i'll have a decision to make. But overall i think it was a good purchase.
Friendly Game - Season 1
Maniacal Misfitz - vs - Tomahawks
Today we have a friendly vs fellow FOFC'er Panther. My new passable goalie Ken Eastham will make his first career start for the Misfitz, Actually its his first pro start ever. Also starting in there first Misfitz game are my 2 new 17 year old defensive trainee's Rikard Larsson and Dumitru Burghelea.
This should be a pretty boring game since im running my usual friendly 5-4-1 and Panther is running a 4-5-1. So i dont expect there to be much scoring.
Starters
GK - Ken Eastham
Right Wingback - Johan Nilsson
Central Defender 1 - Rikard Larsson
Central Defender 2 - Dumitru Burghelea
Central Defender 3 - Kahudi Widodo Simon
Left Wingback - Jesper Lindhquist
Subs
GK - Vladimir Nutiu
Inner Midfielder - Ewen Buckley
Winger - Charles Eddy
2 of my new back-up midfielders will be playing today. But both of them are in bad form and have stamina issues so i dont expect very good games from them.
The Match
The crowd of 463 turning up at Maniacal Misfitz Arena today were greeted by some nasty showers of rain. Maniacal tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. They fielded: Eastham - Nilsson, Simon, Burghelea, Larsson, Lindhquist - Markhus, Gravem, Hajjaj, Hidalgo - Godland.
Tomahawks tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Hedwald - Gorham, Titus, Swancutt, Beckmann - Hicks, Pitts, Marsh, Phan, Adamson - Bethea.
Maniacal took the lead in the 8:th minute after a magnificent free kick. Einar Markhus adjusted the score to 1 - 0. In the 11th minute Maniacals Kahudi Widodo Simon received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Cleo Marsh of Tomahawks received a yellow card in the 20:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Jesper Lindhquist received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 23rd minute and almost caused an opponent to score. In the 29:th minute Tomahawkss Miguel Adamson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 35 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Maniacal. However, Peter Hedwald made a spectacular save. Tomahawks seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Maniacal, bringing the final ball possession rate to 57 percent, dominated the battle.
During the break Tomahawks´s coach went through the teams new tactics yet again. Maniacal put themselves up 2 - 0 when Einar Markhus broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. The structure of the game started to change as Maniacal decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Jesper Lindhquist wasn´t fit enough for a full game made several mistakes out of sheer tiredness. One of them was exploited by Nicholas Gorham who squeezed in 2-1. Maniacal seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. Amir Hajjaj almost managed to score another goal for Maniacal, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. The home side´s Haldor Gravem came close to extending the lead in the 87:th minute. His shot came in off the right hand side but Peter Hedwald managed saving with a fingernail. Tomahawks appeared unsure on how to play. 87 minutes into the game Tomahawks´s Jack Phan found a gap in the home sides central defense scoring with a long shot, making it 2 - 2. Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.
The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Ken Eastham. Haldor Gravem on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Tomahawks player was without a doubt Miguel Adamson. Ty Titus was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
That bastard came back and tied the game!!!!! :)
My dumass coach pulled back when we were only up 2-0 and it costed us the game. ohhh well, its just a friendly. I got away injury free some thats all i care about.
The Good - My new goalie Ken Eastham played great, getting me 2 1/2 stars. My back-up forward kinda shocked me,Per Godland put up 2 stars in weak form. So that means in Passable form he will put up 2 1/2 stars, the reason that surprises me is because he's a passable scorer but he's only a weak passer. I guess he's a pretty high passable.
The Bad - Both my new inner mid's played terrible. Amir Hajjaj and Haldor Gravem only put up 1 star a piece. Im seriously considering training form next week and then stamina the week after that. But i really dont wanna lose 2 weeks of defensive training. we'll see whats happens after tommarrow's training update.
Around The League
The Green Mages lost there cup game today 4-0 and they also lost another starting midfielder. So when they play me in 2 weeks they'll be missing 2 inner midfeidlers. So i might actually have a shot at a tie. Maybe even a win!!!! Im praying they get another player injured this week in there league game :)
this is it!!!!! now i've got 3 starting middy's and 3 back-up middy's all capable of putting up at least 2 - 2 1/2 stars. after this buy im 110k in debt. But i should be able to get that back to zero after i sell my back-up passable goalie and my young passable defender. Then all i'll have to buy is a 17 year old defensive trainee for 1-4k.
Havok 05-01-2003 09:55 PM
Training update
wooohoooo!!! Lots of good news to talk about today. First off i just sold my crappy 30 year old passable goalie in poor form for 101k!!!! God i love Hattrick newbies. So that cleared up alot of my debt problems right there.
And as for training, this is my best Form week in a LONG time. 6 guys went up in Form and only 1 dropped. Unfortunetly the 1 that dropped was my best Inner mid who puts up 2 1/2 stars a game. Hopefully he will still get me 2 1/2 stars in inadequate form.
My 17 year old Wingback Trainee Johan Nilsson just hit excellent form. Im gonna start him at central Defender this week and i expect 2 1/2 stars out of him.
My STUD wingback Chip Fontaine (Passble winger/Solid Defender) just hit Solid form. He'll get me 3 stars, maybe 3 1/2 if im lucky but i doubt it.
Ismael Ferreira da Silva my 19 year old Passable defender/inadeqaute Playmaker just hit passable form. I decided to play him at inner mid this week since my 3rd best inner mid is out and my 4th best inner mid will have to play wing.
Omar Nairn my 20 year old passable defender(soon to be solid i think) just hit passable form, he might grab me 3 stars but more then likely he'll get me 2 1/2 again.
Kahudi Widodo Simon Finally got back to Inadequte form. Normally i'd put him back at inner mid but since im short of wingers this week i'll play him at wing. He might get 2 stars on wing if my lucky. But his excellent stamina and inadequate playmaking should help my midfield rating out.
Per Godland My back-up forward just hit inadequate form.
and finally... my only form drop, but it was kind of a big one.
Alexander Blanco My star midfielder and leading goal scoring in the league dropped to inadequate form :( hopfully he'll still put up 2 1/2 stars. i guess we'll have to wait and see.
I had 1 player bump in defending,
Jesper Lindhquist my other back-up wingback bumped to passable defending. Since he's 20 years old im gonna sell him and buy a 17 year old Wingback trainee. I should get close to 30k for jesper which is good considering i bought him a month ago for 1,000.
So all in all it's been a very good week. After selling Vlad tonight im only 21k in the hole and once i sell Jesper and buy a wingback trainee i should be even.
But i have back-to-back road games coming up so i'll go about 85k in debt after those 2 weeks unless i get a good youth pull or sell someone. We'll see what happens.
P.S. opps....i forgot to add my Teams value and players Value.
Total Team Value - $1,325,000 (24 players)
Average Player Value - $55,208
yikes!!! i'll be 150k in the hole after this week!!! But since i have a passable goalie up for bid and a young passable wingback, i should pretty much be even by the start of next week. I know how you feel. I didn't get a usable player until early this year and didn't get a good player until a few weeks ago. That was with high solid. Hang in there. [After all, all those funds you get from day-/night-trading has to go SOMEWHERE!]
League Game - Season 1 - Round 5
Boston Bulldogs - vs - Maniacal Misfitz
This week we take on the Bulldogs at there house. They aren't a bad team at all. If there owner would add a few players they could be very tough. They run a 4-4-2 and there midfield gets a weak rating sometimes even with only having 4 middy's. I expect them to finish 4th place this year, maybe 3rd if they're lucky and the Witches screw up.
Starter
GK - Ken Eastham
Right WIngback - Ignacio Ceballos
Central Defender 1 - Omar Nairn
Central Defender 2 - Johan Nilsson
Left Wingback - Chip Fontaine
Forward - Yuri Ruiter (Captain)
Defender - Jesper Lindhquist
Inner Mifielder - Ewen Buckley
Winger - Einar Markhus
Forward - Per Godland
Since my star winger is still hurt and my back-up winger Einar Markus is still in poor form, i have to play Kahudi Widodo Simon at winger. He's only a weak winger but he's got Excellent Stamina and Inadequate Playmaking so i'll play him towards the middle.
And since my number 3 inner middy is hurt I'll be playing Ismael Ferreira da Silva at inner mid. He's got Inadequate Playmaking,Solid Stamina and passable defense, He usually starts at central defender but im a little short on Inner mid's in good form at the moment so he'll have to play midfield today.
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Boston Bulldogs Arena saw a crowd turnout of 7000. Bulldogs had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Davidson - Dickens, Cerda, Baron, Gentile - Franklin, Lange, Posey, de Vega - Miner, Calvert.
Maniacal had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. Lineup: Eastham - Ceballos, Nairn, Nilsson, Fontaine - Eddy, Liebers, Ferreira da Silv, Blanco, Simon - Ruiter.
Bulldogs created a good opportunity to score in the games 9:th minute when Adam Posey`s hooked ball created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Charles Eddy of Maniacal received a yellow card in the 25:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After a fine move down the middle Wesley Calvert nearly gave the home side one up in the 29:th minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. After 38 minutes Maniacals Alexander Blanco made his way through the middle, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. In the games 40:th minute Alexander Blanco nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through and fired from just outside the box, his shot passed just over the bar. 0 - 1 was the half-time score. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.
One of many good passes from Charles Eddy at the wing was recieved and skillfully taken care of by Yuri Ruiter, scoring for Maniacal to 0 - 2. In the games 50:th minute Yuri Ruiter nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through and fired from just outside the box, his shot passed just over the bar. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Maniacal´s Omar Nairn got himself booked. Maniacal had, after 68 minutes of the game, worked the left side industriously, creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but somehow didn´t achieve closure. The home side attempted to get through in the middle and had a good chance of pulling one back as Wallace Miner tried lifting the ball over goalie Ken Eastham. Typically, the ball went just over the bar. Bulldogs held the ball, with a clear 51 percent possession rate.
Most important Bulldogs player was Billy Cerda. Wesley Calvert was a disappointment, however. Most important Maniacal player was Chip Fontaine. However, Kahudi Widodo Simon made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 2.
A win against a decent team on the road and no injuries.... im happy. I was hoping for more then 2 goals but without Stuart Trout in the lineup, my team hasnt been scoring as much. But he should be ready to go next week. This is my highest NSI rating ever and my highest stars per game as well. I keep getting better and better every week.
The Good - My defense as a whole played great. they put up 12.5 stars total which is a Misfitz best. They are really starting to come together and with Omar and Ingnacio both very close to popping to solid defending soon (i think) they should only get better. Im hoping for a couple 13.5-14 stars a game from them before this season is out.
The Bad - Kahudi Widodo Simon only got 1 1/2 stars on wing but im not to mad, He isnt a winger. Johan Nilsson didnt play bad, but i just thought that since he was in excellent form that he would get 2 1/2 stars.
Good game all around for my guys. Next week i take on the best team in the league, The Greenmages at there house :(
They put up between 26.5 - 28 stars a game and there NSI ratings are between 50 - 57. So i've got alot of thinking to do this week. I'll probally try to stack my midfield and go for a 0 - 0 tie. We'll see how my team looks after the training update.
Around The League
CristinaFC3 - vs - Green Mages 0 - 6
no surprise here. Easy win for The Mages. I was hoping they'd get a couple injuries this week since i play them next week but they didn't :(
PoBOXTeam - vs - Witches 3 - 0
holy crap!!! i was in complete shock here. The owner of POBOXteam hasnt logged in for like 3 weeks and The Witches have been on a roll latley. They tied the greenmages (even thought the Mages screwed up and played the wrong guy at inner mid and it cost them the win) and they scored 7 goals last week VS CristinaFC3. This really helps me out. Unless something crazy happens i've all but locked up second place in the divison now. Thanx PoBOXTeam!!!
ESAD - vs - Donkey Rapers 1 - 1
The "Who gives a shit" game of the week. Neither one of these guys have any points this year. I thought ESAD would win since there midfield is poor and the Donkey Rapers midfield is disastrous. But for some unknown reason ESAD decided to play a 5-3-2. This guy really doesnt know what he's doing. He's spent a bunch of money on the transfer market and his team still sucks bigtime. I sent him a PM a couple weeks ago asking him if he wanted to join us here at FOFC and if he had any Hattrick questions just ask me. But he didnt reply so i guess he likes being in last place :)
Quick Update
2 players sold tonight on the transfer market. My back-up wingback trainee Jesper Lindhquist sold for 31k and Tong Udom a passable goalie i bought for 77k sold for 100k. Not as much of a profit as i would like for him but i'll take it.
I also picked up this guy last night for 74k...
I placed him on the market for 140k. I just wanna see if some newbie bites. If he doesnt sell then i'll replace him for less.
Another update....
Since i sold a wingback trainee last night i had to find a replacement. So i picked up this guy......
I paid more then i would usually pay for a trainee but this guy is Pleasent with solid leadership. I think he will be my new to leader which is good since Yuri is right now and he's controversial with solid leadership.
Breaking News.....
I've been looking for another winger for awhile. My best winger Stuartt Trout is injured but he should be ready to go this weekend. My second best winger is stuck in poor form and my number 3 winger has been playing well, but he dropped to inadequate form 2 weeks ago and this past week his value dropped another 2k, so i think he's about to drop to weak form.
So i decided to find another winger. i came across this guy and couldn't pass him up.
Willem Herben (5361367)
30 years, solid form, healthy
A controversial person who is balanced and honest.
Now he's not gonna score a million goals or anything. But in his current form he gets 2 1/2 stars. He'll be a good quick and cheap fix until i can get some money and buy a really good one.
ok... i swear this is the last guy i'll buy until im back in the green.
I'm getting addicted to buying injured guys for really cheap prices. this is my 3rd one in 2 weeks.
when he heals, he should be a dam good inner mid. he put up 3 stars about a month ago and in his last few games he's put up 2 1/2. He's kinda old but he's got another season or 2 left in him.
daedalus 05-07-2003 02:42 AM
"Hi, my name is Havok. And I'm a shop-a-holic." :)
Nice buys, though. Viet-tan should be a nice midfielder to have. Who will Herben replace?
Plus, y'know, now we can safely talk about your 'Ma'. :)
The Afoci 05-07-2003 09:32 AM
you are aware that there is a decent chance that he won't be healed in 2 weeks and may never heal again. a lot of older players just don't recover. hope he does though, but either way you only spent 22k.
Havok 05-07-2003 11:07 AM
Quote:
Who will Herben replace?
He'll replace Charles Eddy. Charles has gotten me 2 stars a game in every game he's ever played for me, but his form is droping and he'd make a better back-up winger then a starter.
Yeah, i thought about that before i bought him. But if he still isnt healed in like 3-4 weeks i'll sell him and try to make back the money i spent. I gotta keep my fingers crossed :)
The Afoci 05-07-2003 11:35 AM
Good luck on healing him
daedalus 05-07-2003 04:29 PM
With all these fix-me-up projects you have, how many doctors do you lug around?
Havok 05-07-2003 05:02 PM
i only have 2 doctors right now. But everyone is healing very fast.
2 doctors seems to cut healing time by about 1/3. I should be injury free by late next week if im lucky.
Season 1 - Friendly Game - Round 5
Boston Wyckyd Sceptre - vs - Maniacal Misfitz
Today we take on Ronnie's Sceptre's for a friendly at his stadium. Should be a pretty boring affair because we both run a 5-4-1. Im still looking for my first Friendly win of the season. Im 0-1-1 in friendly's this year, not like it matters but it's always more fun to win :)
Starters
GK - Jorge Valdés
Right Wingback - Kahudi Widodo Simon
Central Defender 1 - Ismael Ferreira da Silva
Central Defender 2 - Rikard Larsson
Central Defender 3 - Dumitru Burghelea
Left Wingback - Daniel Schulz
Right Winger - Einar Markhus (Captain)
Inner Midfielder 1 - Stephane Rohn
Inner Midfielder 2 - Amir Hajjaj
Left Winger - Willem Herben
Forward - Per Godland
I've got a couple starters playing in this game. I bought Stephane Rohn last week while he was injured so i had to play him today to help keep his form up. He's still "bruised but playing" but i still expect a 2 star game out of him. Willem Herben is my new starting winger that i bought yesterday. But since he hasn't played since last Wednesday, i'll have to play him today. He should put up 2 1/2 stars and kick some butt :)
This is the last friendly before we start the FOFC cup. So im hoping for some good performances out of my back-ups. Lets see how they do......
The Match
5/8/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 6980047
Arena: Globo-Chem Center for the Performing Arts
Crowd: 718
718 spectators arrived at Globo-Chem Center for the Performing Arts, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Sceptre had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. Lineup: Noel - Sörensson, Longhurst, Clifton, King, Lehman - Floyd, Isaacs, Beebe, Gee - English.
Maniacal had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Valdés - Simon, Ferreira da Silv, Burghelea, Larsson, Schulz - Markhus, Rohn, Hajjaj, Herben - Godland.
Roy Lehman behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 16:th minute as he gave the ball away to an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
A mistake by the home sides central defence in the 20:th minute allowed Daniel Schulz to score 0 - 1 for Maniacal.
Stephane Rohn increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2.
Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 34:th minute Maniacal goal, making it 0 - 3. Per Godland was noted down as the scorer.
In the 34:th minute Maniacals Stephane Rohn received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
In the 40:th minute Maniacals Einar Markhus received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 3. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 68 percent possession of the ball.
Johan Sörensson of Sceptre received a yellow card in the 53rd minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Maniacal's Willem Herben had in the 72nd minute a header that touched the bar, following yet another fine corner.
The referee showed Sceptres Carroll Floyd the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Amir Hajjaj went down after a savage challenge, but could keep on playing after some medical attention.
Maniacal came close to extending their lead as Kahudi Widodo Simon delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was to sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal.
Sceptres Taylor Clifton got himself booked after a foul.
Maniacal came close to extending their lead as Amir Hajjaj delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was to sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal.
In the 90:th minute Sceptres Graeme Longhurst received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Maniacal´s Per Godland refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 90:th minute.
Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 88 percent possession rate.
The most dominating Sceptre player was without a doubt Philip Noel. Carrol English was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Willem Herben. Amir Hajjaj on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.
Finally our first friendly win of the season. Im overall pretty happy with this game. It was pretty boring, but i scored more then i thought i would. I got 2 guys injured late in the second half, but lucky for me they are both back-up's and they are just "Bruised but playing".
The Good - Stephane Rohn my new inner middy played like a beast!! 2 1/2 stars while he's "bruised but playing". Not bad for only 27k, Im very impressed. he should be at full strength by sunday, and im gonna need him. Willem Herben my new winger played like a stud aswell. Posting 2 1/2 stars and just plain kicking ass up and down the wing all day long.
The Bad - Amir Hajjaj played like crap again. His weak form and weak stamina are hurting him bigtime. He's a passable playmaker with Weak passing and inadequate defending. Once his form and stamina go up he'll be a good back-up inner mid. But for now he's playing like shit!
Oooh, that is good to know. I didn't know how many would be good so when my midfielder went down, I panicked and snagged 3 doctors.
Havok 05-08-2003 10:41 AM
you can never have to many doctors :)
More good news is that Ma Viet-Tan is healing. His value went up 1,000 after the last player update which means he is healing. So i expect him back in a couple weeks.
RonnieDobbs 05-08-2003 11:48 AM
Thanks for the friendly... ugh, disastrous midfield? I think I'm going to have to "rent" a few ** midfielders so I can put a decent showing in at the cup... good luck with your group!
Havok 05-08-2003 01:51 PM
Im not sure what im gonna do in the FOFC cup. i might throw a couple starters in there from time to time. But im still gonna run a 5-4-1 cause i have alot of young defensive trainee's.
we'll see :)
Havok 05-08-2003 09:52 PM
Training Update
It was a dam good week training wise. I had 3 guys bump in defending. Thats by far the most i've ever had in 1 week.
Kahudi Widodo Simon bumped to passable defending. he's like my all around kinda guy. i can play him almost anywhere and he'll play pretty good. Dumitru Burghelea a 17 year old defensive trainee bumped to passable defending aswell. I just bought him 2 weeks ago so that makes me pretty happy. Hopefully i can get him to Solid defending by the end of the season. And last but not least.... Ignacio Ceballos bumped to Solid defending. I knew he was gonna bump soon. Now i have 2 Solid wingbacks... its gonna be tough to score on me from the wings :)
Form
It was a crazy form week. Bad and good all at the same time.
6 - Guys increased there form (4 starters)
6 - guys decreased in form (3 starters)
Increases
Ignacio Ceballos - bumped to Solid Form and bumped to solid defending. Im looking for 3 stars out of him on sunday.
Ismael Ferreira da Silva - Bumped to Solid form, he's a starting central defender with inadequte playmaking and solid stamina. i think im gonna play him offensive on sunday because i need a midfield boost.
Kahudi Widodo Simon - Bumped to passable defending and passable form. Im not sure where im gonna play him on sunday.
Charles Eddy - bumped back up to passable form. He might play winger on sunday if Stuart troutt isnt fully healed.
Per Godland - my back-up forward bumped up to passable form, which will be good for the first round of the FOFC cup on wednesday.
Haldor Gravem - he bumped to weak form. but he will be sold tommarrow night so it doesnt matter.
Decreases
Dumitru Burghelea - Defensive trainee bumped to passable defending and dropped to passable form.
Stephane Rohn - My new inner middy who played like a stud yesterday in my friendly dropped to inadequate form :(
Ma Viet-Tan - another new inner middy who is injured at the moment dropped to inadequte form.
Stuart Trout - dropped to inadequte form. He's been injured for the past 2 1/2 weeks so i kind of expected this. Hopefully he'll get back up to passable after this weeks games.
Ken Eastham - i have no luck with goalie's. all of my goalie's drop in form when i play them. He dropped to inadequte form so i guess i'll only get 2 stars out of him this weekend.
Jorge Valdés My back-up goalie countines his form drop. he's now down to weak form. I'll probally sell him next week and buy another inadequte. Inadequate goalie's are going for pretty cheap right now because everyone seems to be pulling goalie's with there youth pulls.
Other News
Well.....i placed a passable goalie on the transfer market earlier in the week for 140k, and wouldn't ya know it??? some noob actually bought him :) That help's alot. I'll only be around 15k in debt by the end of the week.
Im still in good shape as far as my Economy goes. This is the second week of my back-to-back away games. So unless i sell someone this week i'll be around 65k in the hole after this week. But then 5 out of the last 8 games of the season im at home.
I might sell 19 year old Kahudi Widodo Simon, he just hit passable defending and he's got Excellent stamina,inadequate Playmaking and weak passing. I'd probally get a nice price for him. The main reason im thinking of selling him is his age. I want a younger defensive trainee. I want all 5 of my trainee's to be 17 and if i sell Kahudi and buy a 17 year old they will be.
This Week's Game
Well..... this is the first "Game of the Year" in my divison (the second one is when we play again). This week i take on The Green Mages. This is there forth season in Hattrick. He was in Divison IV last year but he got demoted. The Green Mages are definitly better then me. But this week is probally the best chance i'll have at tieing or even beating them. The reason is that they have 2 starting inner midfielder's out. One is a 18 year old inner mid that they bought for 1,000,000 bucks! a few weeks ago. So he's probally got excellent playmaking. And the other one puts up btw 2 - 2 1/2 stars a game.
I only wish i was playing him at home :( Then i'd have a much better chance at a tie or win. He's got 1 tie this year and its because he screwed up and put the wrong guy at inner mid and he got only 1 star. This pissed me off cause i want him to auto-promote this year so i can win the divison next year. I'm not sure if he's gonna MOTS me or not. I know he's PIC'ed quite a few league games this year but he just got crushed in his cup game 2 weeks ago so im not sure what his TS is like.
To be completely honest with you, i'd rather tie him this week, and lose to him next time we play. That way he'll finish the year 12-0-2 with 38 points and he'll probally auto-promote. But if he beats me both times that will be ok also. i'll still probally get second place unless The Witches beat me in the last game of the season, and i doubt they will. He's pretty deep and debt and he's not training very well.
So everyone make sure to watch my game on Sunday :)
Its the biggest game of my young HT career and i'll need all the support i can get.
Season 1 - League Game - Round 6
Green Mages - vs - Maniacal Misfitz
Well, this is it. The biggest game of my young Hattrick career. Today i take on The Green Mages. They're the best team in this Divison by far. This is his forth season in the league and he's got the talent to prove it. For a team in there forth season they are pretty bad to be honest. I mean, DK's squad is in they're third full season and he's 10 times better then The Mages. But still, he's one of the Top 30 teams in divison V.
His midfield is way better then mine. When they're all healthy he can get a passable midfield. But he's missing 2 starters today, so i might have a chance of making the possesion close. So im playing Kahudi Widodo Simon at central defender and playing him offensive and instead of playing Stuart Troutt at wing, i've decided to play Charles Eddy because he has a slightly better playmaking skill and play him towards the middle. So basically im sacraficing a little bit of defense and my right side attack for a better midfield. Its kind of risky but what the hell.
The players to watch today are Stephane Rohn, this is his first league game with me and in solid form he got 2 1/2 stars in my friendly last week. But now he's in passable form, but im still hoping for 2 1/2 stars. And Ignacio Ceballos, he just popped to solid defending and solid form. So im expecting his first 3 star game out of him.
The Match
Date: 5/12/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 5555099
Arena: Skill Arena
Crowd: 31638
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 31638 to Skill Arena. Green had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Donald - Robles, Ragnsjö, Bolin - Young, Hagen, Betts, Paulsson, Kruger - Ferrara, Ahlby.
Maniacal started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Eastham - Ceballos, Simon, Nairn, Fontaine - Eddy, Rohn, Ferreira da Silv, Blanco, Herben - Ruiter.
The 11th minute saw the home team take a 1 - 0 lead after a leak in the visitors right side defense. Scorer for Green was Brett Ferrara.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Green lead up with 2 - 0. Ulf Ahlby finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle.
The structure of the game started to change as Green decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag Bob Young somhow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Ulf Ahlby who struck for 3 - 0.
Ulf Ahlby should probably have put his team up another goal in the 20:th minute, but some great goaltending by Ken Eastham kept the visitors in the game.
The teams went for a half-time break at 3 - 0. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Green, with an impressive 54 percent possession of the ball.
Maniacal fought on and, in the 48:th minute Ignacio Ceballos was able to reply with 3 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side finished off by an incredibly clever chip.
Ken Eastham was caught napping a bit later as Shelby Bolin lifted a ball over him after a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keepers arms.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Green lead up with 4 - 1. Shelby Bolin finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle.
The visitors got a chance of pulling one back in the 75:th minute, due to a defensive blunder leaving Stephane Rohn completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side´s keeper.
Green held the ball, with a clear 51 percent possession rate.
Green´s best player was Jason Hagen. However, Craig Donald made a disastrous appearance. Most important Maniacal player was Chip Fontaine. Charles Eddy was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
My first League loss ever :( oh well. Im actually not all that mad at how my guys played, I know i got MOTS'ed. He usually puts up a 55-60 NSI when his team is all healthy. But with this same lineup last week, his NSI was 51. And i dont blame him for MOTS'ing. I'm his only real threat in this divison. Kodo's to The Green Mages, We'll meet again in 3 weeks. Then you can whip me in my arena :P
The Good - My wingbacks, Ignacio Ceballos and Chip Fontaine, they both put up 3 stars. Chip is 27 but his value is up to 131k. I think he might be near poping to Excellent defense.
Stephane Rohn picked up 2 1/2 stars in passable form. Im pleasently surprised, Not bad for only 27k. Willem Herben picked up 2 1/2 stars in his first league game for my club.
My Midfield as a whole played well. He only won the possession rate by 54% and 51%, and he got a Inadequate rating. So that means that i got a VERY high weak midfield rating. By best ever probally.
The Bad - There really wasn't to much bad this week. I got my most stars ever with 25.5 and i got my third best NSI rating at 46. Charles Eddy Only got 1 1/2 stars but thats because i played him towards the middle.Ken Eastham only got 2 stars in the net for me. He dropped to inadequate form on thursday and it showed today. will i ever find a goalie who can stay at passable form or higher?? Doesnt look that way :(
CristinaFC3 - vs - PoBOXTeam 5 - 2
After PoBOXteam upset the Witches last week they get crushed today. In another week or 2 PoBOXteam will turn into a computer controlled team unless the owner logs in again. Its to bad really, he doesnt have a half bad team.
Donkey Rapers - vs - Boston Bulldo 0 - 2
Just as expected, The bulldogs would win in a low scoring game. I play the Donkey Rapers the next 2 weeks. They have a good defense but there midfield is terrible. I'll probally PIC them both since my TS is at Composed
Witches - vs - ESAD 1 - 0
This one was kind of a shocker, i thought The Witches would score alot more then 1 goal. They dominated the possession but just couldn't find the net.
Breaking News....
well... i picked up yet another player :)
grabbed another inner middy.....
Guy Reverier (10816010)
29 years, inadequate form, healthy
A nasty fellow who is tranquil and dishonest.
Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities.
The only problem with him is his Stamina, but since im training stamina this week, hopefully he'll bump to passable.
Nice buy! That should be a nice addition for the midfield.
Just remember to keep him and Yuri on different side of the team bus. :)
Havok 05-14-2003 03:07 PM
thanx
i got kind of lucky with him. I was just looking around the transfer market not really expecting to buy anyone when i looked in België. I saw him and he had 1 min left until bidding ran out. I had to make a quick decision. So i said what the hell and grabbed him :)
I really want to have an Inadequte midfield by the time the season is over. So buying this guy is my first step.
Aesyrqwe 05-14-2003 08:26 PM
He may end up hurting your TS in the long run...
-Aes-
Havok 05-14-2003 08:29 PM
i thought only team leaders effect your TS???
And with weak leadership he'll never be a team leader
RonnieDobbs 05-14-2003 08:31 PM
I think if he's nasty, he has the chance at hurting your team spirit once you bring him in (IE - A new bought player got off to a bad start...). However, if your leader is good enough, he will minimize/offset this effect.
Season 1 - FOFC Cup - Round 1
Maniacal Misfitz - vs - West Henrietta FC
Today is the first round of the FOFC cup. Im kind of excited cause its fun playing fellow FOFC'ers. But since i'll be playing my back-ups the whole time, i dont expect to win many games.
Im playing bigjdotcom01's West Henrietta FC today. He's had his team for a long time, but they still aren't very good. Looking at his last friendly's my back-ups appear to be better then his. But if he plays his starters i'll lose big time.
Starters
Gk - Ken Eastham
Right Wingback - Johan Nilsson
Central Defender 1 - Rikard Larsson
Central Defender 2 - Ismael Ferreira da Silva
Central DEfender 3 - Dumitru Burghelea
Left Wingback - Daniel Schulz
Right Winger - Stuart Troutt
Inner Midfielder 1 - Mathias Liebers
Inner Midfielder 2 - Guy Reverier
Left Winger - Ewen Buckley
Forward - Aron Capotă
Im only playing 2 starters. One is Guy Reverier, i just bought him last night and i wanna keep his form up. And the other Stuart Troutt, he just came back from injury he's been out the last 3 weeks. so i need to keep his form up aswell.
Player to keep an eye on - Guy Reverier, he's a solid PM with weak/weak secondary skills. But he;s in inadequate form with inadequte stamina. Im training stamina this week so i hope he bumps to passable tommarrow.
Aron Capotă is playing in his first game for me. I bought him injured a couple weeks ago and he's finally "Bruised but playing". He's a passable/passble forward and hopfully he'll replace Yuri as a starter once he's fully healthy. He should get 2 stars today and 2 1/2 when he's fully healed.
The Match
Date: 5/15/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 7005441
Arena: Maniacal Misfitz Arena
Crowd: 465
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 465 at Maniacal Misfitz Arena today. Maniacal had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Eastham - Nilsson, Ferreira da Silv, Burghelea, Larsson, Schulz - Troutt, Liebers, Reverier, Buckley - Capotă.
Henrietta had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Dent - Galloway, Harrington, Jefferson - Jolly, Johnsen, Portillo, Goddard, Lemons - Johnson, Oldham.
28 minutes into the game Donald Oldham was a hair´s breadth away from giving Henrietta the lead. A prompt block by Ken Eastham saved the home team that time.
Seemingly due to lack of experience, Johan Nilsson needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
A mistake by the home sides central defence in the 38:th minute allowed Fred Goddard to score 0 - 1 for Henrietta.
Ewen Buckley made a superb strike at the goal in the 40:th minute with a long shot coming in from straight in front of the goal, but one of the visitors defenders got a foot in and warded it off to a corner.
Henrietta's Jackie Harrington scored 0 - 2 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net.
The away team´s Fred Goddard took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 43rd minute increasing Henrietta´s lead to 0 - 3. Halftime score was 0 - 3.
The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Henrietta, with an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.
Olav Johnsen increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4.
A marvelous Maniacal effort to the right resulted in a 79:th minute goal by Ewen Buckley, putting the score up to 1 - 4.
After 81 minutes Guy Reverier could have reduced had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors keeper Robert Dent.
Henriettas Jackie Harrington got himself booked after a foul.
The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Henrietta, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.
The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Stuart Troutt. Ewen Buckley was a disappointment, however.
Henrietta´s best player was Jerry Johnson. Hector Jolly on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 4.
That sucked, He played most, if not all of his starters. His central attack was just way to much for my trainee's. Im a little surprised that he played his starters but it really doesnt matter. I refuse to play mine because training is just way to dam important. Congrats to Big J on his win.
The Good - My Midfield as a whole played good. Since i ran a 5-4-1 and only had 2 inner middy's. He barley won the possession rate with 3 inner middy's. Guy Reverier picked up 2 stars in inadequate form with inadequte stamina which is good. So in Passable form with Excellent stamina he's a 3 star a game middy, Thats dam good for only 42k.
The Bad - Ewen Buckly only picked up 1 1/2 stars on the wing. Which really isnt bad considering he is normally a inner midfielder. But he did score a goal :)
Training Update
This week i decided to train Stamina, 1 reason is because my newest picked was a solid PM with only inadequte stamina. i really wanted to get him to passable. The other reason is i have 2 back-up inner mid's with weak stamina. I knew i was gonna take a serious form hit but since i have back-to- back easy games i said what the hell.
Well.... it payed off. 17 of my 25 players increased in stamina :)
And only 8 guys dropped in form.
Stamina
17 guys increased in Stamina (7 starters) (All 6 of my inner midfielders bumped also, even my injured one)
The best part of all is my new Solid PM (weak/weak) inner mid jumped to passable stamina and passable form!!! Not bad for 42k :p So i expect a nice 2 1/2 stars out of him this weekend.
Form
But i did take a nice form hit.
1 players increased in form (1 starter)
8 players decreased in form (4 starters)
The only really bad form hit i took was Alexander Blanco dropped to weak form. He should still get me 2 stars at inner mid, but if he drops again next week i'll have to bench him.
In other News
I sold my back-up keeper this week. He was an Inadequate with weak form. He sold for 21.5k which is way more then i would have payed for him. I only have 1 goalie at the moment but i'm gonna pull one on saturday and he'll be my back-up for sunday's game.
I also sold Vlado Drekonja, i bought him last Sunday for 41k and turned around and sold him for 65k. Nice little profit there :)
Since i only have 1 goalie at the moment i decided to pull a keeper this week. And just like the 11 guys before him, he sucks.
He will be my back-up for now. I'll just play Ken Eastham in both my league games and my friendly's for awhile.
It may not look like it but im in good shape. I have a home game this week in which i should bring in around 40-50k. I have a inner middy for sale right now and he should sell for at least 25-30k. I also have a defender/inner middy for sale and he should sell for around 40k. Plus i'll be placing Yuri Ruiter on the transfer market tommarrow night since his replacement is finally healthy. So with all those guys sold and my home game i should go into next week even.
This Weeks Game
This week i take on The Donkey Rapers. Its my first home game since week 4. To be completely honest, these guys suck. The owner is pretty active but i think he just has no clue what he's doing. He has a good defense, mainly because he has a solid goalie. But that solid goalie is in weak form so he's only getting him 2 stars a game. His midfield is a joke and his offense isn't much better.
He's only managed to score 2 goals all season. He runs a 4-5-1 with both his wingbacks towards the middle. So to counter this im going all out wing attack. Both my wingers are playing offensive and both my wingbacks will go offensive aswell. It should be an easy game so im gonna PIC aswell. My TS is down to Irritated so i need to pic my next 2 games. Since i'll be selling Yuri (My anti-Clown) this week, my TS should never get this low again.
This weeks League Game
Season 1 - League Game - Round 7
Maniacal Misfitz - vs - Donkey Rapers
Today we face off against the worst team in my divison. Everything about this team sucks except his goalie and a 2 1/2 star defender. His goalie is 18 years old and solid, but lucky for me he's in weak form so im only expecting 2 stars out of him. The only good rating he ever gets is Excellent Central defense and thats mainly because he plays both his wingbacks towards the middle. So to counter this im going all out wing attack on him. Both my wingers are playing offensive and 1 of my wingbacks is playing normal and the other is playing offensive. Plus, to top it all off i'll be Pic'ing.
Per Godland will start in his first ever game at forward today. The reason Yuri isnt playing is because im selling him this week. Per should get 2 1/2 stars now that he's in passable form since he got 2 stars in weak and inadequate form. I would have played Aron Capota but he's still "Brusied but playing" and he's in inadequate form.
Player's to watch today
Per Godland - for one since its his first league game ever. He'll probally have a tough time scoring since he's got to go up against a Excellent central defense.
Alexander Blanco - He just dropped to weak form this week but im still hoping he gets me 2 stars at midfield. He should since he gets 2 1/2 stars in passable form.
Guy Reverier - My new Solid inner middy. He got 2 stars in my friendly last weak but he was in inadequate form with inadequate stamina. Now he's got Passable form and passable stamina so im expecting 2 1/2 stars out of him today.
The Match
A scorching day at Maniacal Misfitz Arena, where 9353 spectators were in place for today´s match. Maniacal started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Eastham - Fontaine, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Ceballos - Herben, Rohn, Blanco, Reverier, Troutt - Godland.
Donkey tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Youngblood - Parrott, Swann, Mallory, Rankin - Jackson, Chiarello, Cepa Nogue, Emerson, Arsenault - Chicote Diaz.
Maniacals Alexander Blanco gave, after 7 minutes, the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
Donkeys Roberto Chiarello got himself booked after a foul.
Guy Reverier went down after a savage challenge, but could keep on playing after some medical attention.
The referee showed Maniacals Chip Fontaine the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Donkey will have to do without David Chicote Diaz for a time due to a bad foot injury. He was substituted by Vernon Downs.
Donkey got a chance to level the score as Heath Jackson suddenly found himself free with the goaltender but the finishing shot hit the bar.
The referee showed Maniacals Stuart Troutt the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Juan Fernando Cepa Nogue behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 41st minute as he gave the ball away to an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
Maniacal put themselves up 2 - 0 when Stephane Rohn broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Maniacal lead up with 3 - 0. Chip Fontaine finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle.
The structure of the game started to change as Maniacal decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone.
In the 43rd minute Donkeys Shayne Swann received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The teams went for a half-time break at 3 - 0. Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 71 percent possession rate.
In the 47:th minute Maniacal´s Stuart Troutt tried to nail the coffin shut, but the shot rebounded off the bar to fall behind the net.
After 53 minutes Per Godland put Maniacal ahead 4 - 0 as he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side.
The game was close to savage at times, and Donkey`s Shayne Swann received a second yellow card in the 54:th, his ticket out of the game.
Maniacal put themselves up 5 - 0 when Per Godland broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.
A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 58 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Maniacal. However, John Youngblood made a spectacular save.
The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 85 percent possession of the ball.
Most important Maniacal player was Chip Fontaine. Alexander Blanco was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Donkey player was without a doubt Joshua Mallory. Roberto Chiarello was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
Just as expected, i killed them. I scored 4 goals from the right side and 1 from the left. So my super attacking wings style worked like a charm. I needed that PIC big time. My TS was down to Irritated before this game, now its back up to calm and after next weeks pic it should be at either content or satisfied. Im selling Yuri this week (my anti-clown). So i should never have TS problems again. In other good news it seems im back in first place in the divison!!! Somehow PoBOXTeam beat The Green Mages 5-3.
The Good
Per Godland - played like a beast in his first league game ever. Scoring 2 goals in the second half and putting up 2 1/2 stars. Not bad for a guy that i bought for 13k almost 2 months ago :)
Right Side attack - Though it only got a "passable" rating, it account for 4 of my 5 goals. My hats off to Chip Fontaine and William Herben for a game well played.
Midfield - The only reason i say this is because im having kind of a form crisis with my middy's. The Form right now is 1 - weak, 1 - Inadequte - 1 passable. If all 3 were in passable form they'd all get 2 1/2 stars. Guy Reverier should have gotten 2 1/2 stars today but since he got slightly injuried he only got 2 stars. But its all good, He'll be fine in a couple days.
The Bad - once again there's no real bad to speak off. This is my first game ever were everyone got at least 2 stars. But if i had to pick 1 bad it would be Alexander Blanco. He got 2 stars and scored a goal. But his weak form got him tagged " Alexander Blanco was a disappointment" at the end of the game.
Around The League
ESAD - vs - CristinaFC3 4 - 2
Its looks like ESAD is starting to turn it around a little. He's running a 5-3-2 with 2 inner mids and 1 winger. His Midfield sucks but his attack is a little better and his defense is pretty good. But he wont win many games with that formation. I dare him to play that formation vs me next time we play :)
Boston Bulldogs - vs - Witches 2 - 2
The Witches are falling apart. With the team he's got, there is no reason he should have tied this game, Lost to POBoxTeam 2 weeks ago and only beat ESAD 1 - 0 last week. He's had some injury problems but still. His Midfield rating hasn't been very good latley but his wing attack has been. His wingers are fairly new, so "I think" he went out and bought a couple wingers with good wing skill and passing skill, but with bad playmaking. So his midfield rating is suffering in the process.
Its to bad Johnny didnt stay in FOFC with us, i think he could have learned alot more here then he's learning in the other federation he's in. But im still pulling for him to turn it around cause he is a nice guy.
PoBOXTeam - vs - Green Mages 5 - 3
All i can say here is HOLY SHIT!!! I have no clue what happened here. But im gonna try to break it down.
First off, the Owner of PoBOXTeam finally logged in 2 days ago and i think he might have MOTS'ed this game. The reason i say that is last week his NSI was 39. This week his NSI was 46!!!
The Green Mages picked up a NSI of 58 this week!! But once again they're biggest weak spot was they're Right side defense. Its only inadequte because he runs a 3-5-2 and he brings his right wingback up to inner middy. Im not sure why he does this, it leaves his right side so vulnerable. I tryed to attack his right side last week when i played him but it failed to produce.
Now PoBOXTeam's strongest attack side is always they're left side. They usually get either inadequte or passable rating on that side. But this week they got a Solid rating which means they must have MOTS'ed the game since they're star rating is just the same as it was last week. 4 of they're 5 goals came from they're left side attack. Need i say more??? Its to bad The Green Mages GM isn't very good. He's got a nice squad, if he'd play them right noone in this divison would even have a chance at beatiing them. But since he doesn't switch his line-up around according to what opponent he is playing each week, he allows his weaknesses to be exploited. No wonder he's in his forth season and playing in divison 5.
Upnext, This weeks FOFC game
The Afoci 05-20-2003 09:36 AM
This is odd, it is already tuesday and no breaking news announcing the signing of 15 new players ;)
Havok 05-20-2003 09:51 AM
Breaking News just for Afoci!!!!!!!!!!
i signed yet another goalie, since my goalie's refuse to stay in passable form i seem to have to buy a new one every week.
Koldo Tizón (11867441)
22 years, passable form, healthy
A sympathetic guy who is temperamental and honest.
Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities.
Nationality: Espańa
Assessed value: 234 000 US$
Wage: 2 352 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Maniacal Misfitz
Warnings: 0
Stamina: poor Goaltending: passable
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous
Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: poor
Paid 79k
more then i usually pay for a passable but his Value is pretty nice for a passable. I'll be selling Ken Eastham to make back the money i just spent. Ken should sell for around 100k.
perfect timing Afoci =)
Havok 05-21-2003 10:49 PM
Update
Kahudi Widodo Simon sold for 50k yesterday. He was a defensive trainee that just bumped to passable. I sold him because he was 19 and i wanted another 17 year old trainee.
I bought this guy to fill the spot on my back-up team.......
Anders Larsson
9 000 US$, 17 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and wretched leadership abilities [Head]
Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: wretched
Winger: poor Defending: inadequate
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: weak
He was actually the first guy i found. They're was a few more that i wanted over him because his value is so low. But i put a 1k bid on him and noone else bid. So i kinda got stuck with him. He's a "Head" specialist which is always good for defenders. The last low valued defender trainee i bought bumped to passable after his second week of training. Hopefully this guy will also =)
Now all 5 of my defensive trainee's are 17. Four are inadequate's and 1 is passable. A couple of them are due to pop anytime now and 2 im not sure about.
Out of my 4 starting defenders 2 are solid and 2 are passable.
Chip Fontaine
138 000 US$, 27 years, passable form
Has poor experience and weak leadership abilities [Unpredictable]
Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: wretched Passing: wretched
Winger: passable Defending: solid
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: poor
Chip Fontaine - The oldest and the best of the bunch. He's solid defending and passable winger, all the rest of his skills blow. His assessed value is 138k. Im torn on what to do with him. Since he's kind of old i've debated on selling him once 1 of my wingback trainee's get to passable. But his Value is getting kinda high so i might hold on to him until he bumps to Excellent,. If i sell him as solid i can expect 200-250k. If i sell him at excellent i can expect 500-600k. Thats a big difference.
Ignacio Ceballos
97 000 US$, 24 years, solid form
Has poor experience and inadequate leadership abilities [Unpredictable]
Stamina: solid Keeper: wretched
Playmaking: wretched Passing: weak
Winger: inadequate Defending: solid
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: wretched
Ignacio Ceballos - My other wingback. He is 24 and hes a inadequate winger and he just bumped to solid defending. He will probally stay on the team until late next season when he bumps to excellent defending. Then i'll sell him for a nice chunk of change.
Ismael Ferreira da Silva
50 000 US$, 19 years, solid form
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities [Powerful]
Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: passable
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: weak
Ismael Ferreira Da Silva - Is one of my central defenders. He's 19 years old with passable defending, Excellent stamina and inadequte playmaking. He makes a good offensive central defender. Ismael will probally be with us for a long time. He should be solid in defending by the end of this season or early next season.
Omar Nairn
67 000 US$, 20 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities
Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: weak
Winger: poor Defending: passable
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate
Omar Narin is my other central defender. He's 20 years old with passsable defending. But he should be bumping to solid any time now. Im not sure what the future holds for Omar. He will at the very least stay on my team until he's excellent. We'll have to wait and see with him.
Season 1 - Friendly Game - Round 7
Maniacal Misfitz - vs - ožralové
Since MikeVic never accepted my challenage for our FOFC cup game i had to find another match. I posted on the friendly forum in HT and a Ceska Rep guy challenaged me. I can't even begin to pronouce his teams name but they are a new team and his B-team sucks royally. I should have no problem crushing them even with my 5-4-1.
Starters
GK - Koldo Tizón
Right Wingback - Johan Nilsson
Central Defender 1 - Rikard Larsson
Central Defender 2 - Anders Larsson
Central Defender 3 - Dumitru Burghelea
Left Wingback - Daniel Schulz
Right Winger - Charles Eddy
Inner Midfielder 1 - Ewen Buckley
Inner Midfielder 2 - Amir Hajjaj
Left WInger - Einar Markhus
Forward - Aron Capotă
This will be Ewen Buckly's last game with the team. Since Ma Viet-Tan is almost healed, there is just no room for Ewen on the team. He should fetch i decent price since he is Passable PM weak/weak and inadequate stamina plus he's only 20 years old.
Player's to watch
Koldo Tizón - my new goalie will start his first game for the team, i expect a nice 2 1/2 stars from him.
Aron Capotă - My passable/passable forward, I'd like to start him this weak but it all depends on if he gets 2 1/2 stars today. He's only in inadequate from so im not sure if he will. His only problem is his stamina is wretched. And as i've come to realize, stamina effects all postions in HT, Even forwards.
Anders Larsson - his first game with the club. Hopefully he'll grab 2 stars.
The Match
1807 spectators had come to Maniacal Misfitz Arena this cloudy day. Maniacal had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Tizón - Nilsson, Burghelea, Larsson, Larsson, Schulz - Eddy, Hajjaj, Buckley, Markhus - Capotă.
ožralové had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Šilhan - Moran Martínez, Rathouský, Nedvěd, Pek, Bursík - Krsek, Hanák, Bárta - Šurman, Hloušek.
Ewen Buckley received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 7:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score.
Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 8:th minute goal by Einar Markhus for Maniacal, putting them ahead 1 - 0.
In the 27:th minute the excellent ball from the wing byEinar Markhus reached Aron Capotă's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 2 - 0.
Maniacal put themselves up 3 - 0 when Dumitru Burghelea broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.
In the games 36:th minute, Aron Capotă could have extended the lead, but his very hard free kick went just over the bar.
ožralové had to manage with a reduced squad from the 37:th minute on, as Heřman Bárta got sent off for a foul in a free situation.
Halftime score was 3 - 0. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Maniacal, with an impressive 78 percent possession of the ball.
A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 59 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Maniacal. However, Zdenek Šilhan made a spectacular save.
A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 62 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Maniacal. However, Zdenek Šilhan made a spectacular save.
Maniacal put themselves up 4 - 0 when Dumitru Burghelea broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.
After 66 minutes Maniacal´s Charles Eddy contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game.
Maniacal put themselves up 5 - 0 when Ewen Buckley broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.
After this Maniacal lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts.
Maniacal, bringing the final ball possession rate to 88 percent, dominated the battle.
The most dominating Maniacal player was without a doubt Koldo Tizón. Amir Hajjaj on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important ožralové player was Luděk Šurman. Ondřej Pek on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
I told ya they sucked :) When you lose to my back-up team running a 5-4-1, 5-0 you suck big time. He only got 10 1/2 stars with his whole team. Anyway im happy, no serious injuries and my central defender Dumitru scored 2 goals, thats kinda wierd. Next week in my cup game i play the Slumlords at home. His back-up squad is dam good so he should whip my ass pretty bad.
The Good
Koldo Tizón - played great in his first game with the club and got 2 1/2 stars. Now if his form stays up i won't have to buy a new goalie every freaking week.
Anders Larsson - got 2 stars in his forst game which means he isn't a very very low inadequate in defending.
Dumitru Burghelea - scored 2 goals as a central defender!!!
The Bad
Aron Capotă - only got 2 stars in inadequate form. Unless he bumps to passable form tommarrow, he wont play in the league game. Which doesn't really bother me that much since Per Godland is playing like an animal right now.
Upnext, this weeks training update
Training Update
A pretty average training week for me. I had 1 guy pop in defending. Omar Narin hit Solid defending finally. So all of my starting defenders are solid now expect 1, and he will bump by the end of the season.
Form
Form kinda sucked this week, i kind of expected it since i trained stamina last week. Most my starters are ok, they could be better but im not complaining. The only really good form jump was Guy Reverier, he's my solid PM middy and now he's in solid form. Which is good cause the rest of my midfield is hurting form wise. My other 2 starting middy are in Weak form and inadequte form. If all my starting middy's were in passable form i'd get a inadequate midfield rating i think. But it doesn't matter this week, im playing the pathetic Donkey rapers again.
5 Players increased in form (1 starter)
4 players decreased in form (1 starter)
Oooh. Solid middie in solid form should be awesome.
Havok 05-24-2003 01:57 AM
probally only 2 1/2 stars since he's only got passable stamina, but i'll take it =)
Youth Pull + Economic Update
Finally.... my youth squad hits solid and i pull my first decent youth player. I'd like everyone to meet Benton Minter, my new starting winger.
Benton Minter (12166991)
18 years, passable form, healthy
A controversial person who is temperamental and honest.
Has disastrous experience and inadequate leadership abilities.
Nationality: USA
Assessed value: 40 000 US$
Wage: 700 US$/week
Owner: Maniacal Misfitz
Warnings: 0
Stamina: passable Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: poor
Winger: solid Defending: poor
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: weak
I wish his passing was a little better but im not complaining. Im not sure what i should do with him at the moment. He's definitly gonna start tommarrow, but i'll probally sell him. I have no clue what the market value is for young wingers. I figure i could sell him and buy a slightly older/better winger for the same price since this guy is only 18 and very trainable.
Anyone know about what he'd sell for????
Economic Update
Im debt free this week for the first time in 3 weeks. I play an away game this week but i will be selling 2 guys so hopfully i'll be debt free after this week aswell. Then its back-to-back home games which will be very nice. 1 of which will probally be my first sellout in my new arena since its against the Green Mages.
This Weeks Game
For the second week in a row, i take on the pathetic Donkey Rapers. After kicking they're ass 5 - 0 at home last week while pic'ing, i now get to kick they're ass at they're house while pic'ing.
Nothing else really to add, it should be a pretty boring game. I don't expect to win 5-0 again since im on the road but i still should beat him pretty soundly.
Season 1 - League Game - Round 8
Donkey Rapers - vs - Maniacal Misfitz
Today we get to spank the Donkey Rapers again. I'll be pic'ing again even though i dont like pic'ing on the road but these guys suck so bad it shouldn't be a problem. Im gonna attack like hell with my wings again this game and my new winger Benton that i pulled from my youth squad should help a little for my winger rating.
Starters
GK - Koldo Tizón
Right Wingback - Chip Fontaine (Offensive)
Central Defender 1 - Omar Nairn (Normal)
Central Defender 2 - Ismael Ferreira da Silva (Normal)
Left Wingback - Ignacio Ceballos (Offensive)
Right Winger - Benton Minter (Offensive)
Inner Midfielder 1 - Guy Reverier (Offensive)
Inner Midfielder 2 - Alexander Blanco (Offensive)
Inner Midfielder 3 - Stephane Rohn (Normal)
Left Winger - Willem Herben (Offensive)
Forward - Per Godland (Normal)
Subs
Defender - Johan Nilsson
Midfielder - Amir Hajjaj
Winger - Stuart Troutt
Forward - Aron Capotă
As you can see im playing almost everyone offensive. Mainly because his offense is so bad. Im hoping to get Solid attack ratings on both my wings since im playing both my wingbacks offensive, but im not sure if i'll get that high of a rating since im pic'ing on the road. We'll see
Players To Watch Today
Benton Minter - My new winger's first game with the team. He should get 2 1/2 stars.
Guy Reverier - My solid PM, who just hit solid form. I expect a strong 2 1/2 stars out of him aswell.
Alexander Blanco - He could be a problem today. He's in "low"weak form. I still expect 2 stars out of him.
The Match
At Donkey Rapers Arena, 3641 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Donkey started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Lineup: Youngblood - Parrott, Mallory, Chih-Hsien, Rankin - Jackson, Chiarello, Cepa Nogue, Emerson, Arsenault - Downs.
Maniacal had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Tizón - Fontaine, Nairn, Ferreira da Silv, Ceballos - Minter, Rohn, Blanco, Reverier, Herben - Godland.
Maniacal took the lead in the games 16:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Ignacio Ceballos was the scorer.
Maniacal came close to extending their lead as Per Godland delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was to sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal.
Maniacal´s Per Godland missed a penalty shot in the games 25:th minute. The shot produced was way too weak, leaving the keeper to collect it at his own leisure.
Alix Arsenault of Donkey received a yellow card in the 30:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Donkey will have to do without John Youngblood for a time due to a bad foot injury. He was substituted by Nicolas Ware.
In the 32nd minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Guy Reverier finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
Halftime score was 0 - 2. Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 63 percent possession rate.
The game had been on for 81 minutes when Per Godland broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. Maniacal´s were up 0 - 3. By now Maniacal were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead.
Maniacals Omar Nairn got himself booked after a foul.
Donkey were forced to a substitution as Joshua Mallory couldn´t continue playing due to the rough treatment.
Guy Reverier received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 90:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score.
Stephane Rohn came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Nicolas Ware, hitting the bar.
90 minutes into the game Ismael Ferreira da Silva had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Johan Nilsson.
Maniacal held the ball, with a clear 78 percent possession rate.
The most dominating Donkey player was without a doubt Karl Parrott. However, Tse Chih-Hsien made a disastrous appearance. Maniacal´s best player was Omar Nairn. However, Alexander Blanco made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.
I'll take it, 3-0 win on the road while pic'ing. It could have been alot worse but i missed 3 scoring chances. My NSI rating was the same as last week but my midfield dropped to poor. The BAd form of my middy's is starting to cause a problem. I'll still get a weak midfield rating while playing normal, but i don't think i'll reach inadequate anytime soon unless my form picks up.
Ismael will be miss 2 weeks with that injury. That gonna hurt alittle next week. He's very close to being a 2 1/2 star central defender. But i have a few good back-ups so it should't hurt to bad.
The Good
Benton Minter - got 2 1/2 star in his first game with the team and helped get me a solid attack rating on the right side.
Guy Reverier - picked up 2 1/2 stars and scored. If only he had solid or excellent stamina he'd get me 3 stars.
The Bad
Alexander Blanco - Still got me 2 stars in weak form but got tagged "Most Disappointing player" at the end of the game.
Per Godland - he scored a goal, but missed 2 other chances and only got 2 stars. Im not sure why he only 2 stars since he's still in passable form and last week he got 2 1/2 stars.
Around The League
Witches - vs - Boston Bulldo 3 - 5
Witches lose yet again. But this time im not to surprised. The Bulldogs picked up a NSI of 47 and got 25.5 stars. What really amazies me about the Bulldogs is that the guy almost never logs in and has only added 2 low priced guys to his team and still very good NSI ratings. He must have started with one of the best teams i've ever seen. To bad the owner isn't more active or they'd prbally be battling with me and The Mages for first and second place.
CristinaFC3 - vs - ESAD 5 - 0
No real surprise here, ESAD and they're 5-3-2 formation don't have much hope of beating anyone this year, espically on the road. CristinaFC3 will probally change owners in a couple weeks. Its been awhile since the owner has logged in
Green Mages - vs - PoBOXTeam 6 - 0
well, the mages got some revenge for last weeks embarressing loss to POBOXTeam.They put up an unbelieveable 61 NSI!!! Im absolutely screwed next week when i play them. I was thinking about MOTS'ing them but now im not so sure. They are just to dam good. They're whole team is healthy again and it shows. I see what my form does at the end of the week before i decide weather or not i wanna MOTS them.
Awesome debut by Minter. Does he have long term future with the Misfitz? The 2 1/2 in midfield by Reverier will be a nice addition, eh. :)
If you can count the guy getting 2-stars as your WORST player, that just ain't bad. :)
Havok 05-26-2003 03:14 PM
Yeah... Benton will be around for awhile. I talked to a couple winger trainer's and they said that he would only sell for 40-50k. So i'll just keep him. Should be a starter for awhile, then a good back-up down the road.
As for Alexander..... im gonna need all the midfield i can get next week vs The Green Mages. He has a 3 1/2 stars middy, a 2 1/2 stars middy and a 2 star. So i hope his form bumps this week to inadequate or i might have to play 1 of my back-ups.
