In this thread we'll talk about Book of Heroes, a free iOS RPG game.

The guild for FOFCers is called, well, FOFCers.

This thread will mainly be used to coordinate raids in the game, and talk about the game in general.

Would you guys be up for a raid on Skar starting at about 3:05 this afternoon? my break at work starts at 3 so I could start it then and I could do 10 minutes there and 45 more minutes when I get home from about 4:15 to 5.

I'm thinking we need to beat Skar three more times before we move on to something else. If we succeed from 3 to 5, we could start another one from 8 to 10 or so, or as soon as the cooldown is over. From what I gathered yesterday and the day before, you can't restart the raid until 2.5 hours has passed since the time you started it, no matter how long it takes for the guild to get it done.

well done guys, when mty break ended, we were up to 78% of phase 1, after only 10 minutes! :)

Should we start another raid when the cooldown is over, around 5:30 eastern?

If so, we'd be able to do a third later on in the evening and we'd be done with Skar and on to another one...

I won't be able to help much at 5:30, but I'm not sure you'll need my help. Pretty strong crew the last time around. If you launch the raid, I'll try to get some shots in.

This afternoon, I was lucky enough that my Justicar, Fortificus, leveled up not only in the middle of the raid, but just as his energy was dropping to zero. Boom, full energy again! :)

Little trick I have found. If you buy of the the two sigils that can give you 2 extra energy your energy not only goes two up, it goes to max energy. One sigil costs 5000 silver, the other 10 golden tokens. Timing it right, you can go for 12+14 energy in a row buy buying a sigil just when your character's energy hit zero...

Yeah, I figured if we were able to get it done in 50 minutes with me only doing 10 of them, I'm sure the next few ones, if I announce them in advance, will be doable no matter what...

well done guys, another one within one hour. Now, the next one is Lockbolt's reign and its timer is 4 hours and it's rated as "hard" even for my level 18 shadow walker. Will not start it this evening I'm afraid, since we've all been hard at the last raid...

Two questions:

What happens if you die?

What do gems do?

Nothing happens when you die, other than you cannot continue the fight you were fighting. You don't lose anything and you can go to the templs, buy a couple healings at 100 silver a piece and get right back to fighting. It's only more trouble when you die in one of those big quest that cost 10 energy. Then, you can't really get back in because you won't recoup those 10 energy you just spent to start the fight.

Gems go into gem slots on pieces of equipment. Every piece of equipment you buy from now on comes bare of any attributes, as opposed to before the big update when you could see some "+90 crit" or something like that. Now you need to augment what you buy yourself. Every piece of equipement comes with one unlocked gem slot. The color varies with the type of equipment so different equipement can be augmented in different ways. You can unlock more gem slots with silver pieces, up to four slots per piece of equipment.

I dn't understand what gems multiply when they say X2 crit multiplier.

so, when would be a good time to try this new raid? Should we aim for another 3pm eastern start time?

just read that the BoH servers will be going through maintenance starting at 3:30 EDT so the 3pm raid thing is not such a good idea anymore.

If the servers are back online by then, I'm looking more at a 4:15 EDT raid start, just when I get back home. Raid would then be effective from 4:20 to 8:20 or so, since this new raid is a 4 hour timer... Fits better for me too since I'll have a hole in my evening schedule from 7 to 8.

Raid was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. As far as I know, we didn't even get past 2/3 of the steps. Kind of a weird difficulty level there.

Lost signal and couldn't get back home in time to help out more.

That was tougher. I think the first 1/3 was harder than the second 1/3. I'm going to need to find a way to power level my guys a bit. Or maybe we'll need to knock out the first raid a few more times when we don't have a full complement on FOFCers.

yeah, my might wasn't high enough for that raid, needed 500 and my guy only had 450.

yeah, we're far from being ready to tackle that Lockbolt raid.

Also, could people state if they are East or West coast. I'll be looking to add a few officers that could start raids when I'm not online. That way, we could have a east coast evening raid and a west coast evening raid.

There's a level type meter on the guild page that currently reads 6000/28800. It went up 1200 for every time we beat the plaguerider so if we can kick his butt 4-5 times a day, we should be moving up as a guild...

What do you guys think of that?

Yea, I think we made it to 75% in stage 2.

We will certainly need a full wave of characters or more FOFCers in general to beat that next raid

thing is most battles were against three opponents and every time you won a fight, the percentage didn't always go up. I figured it was 1% for every two battles won, as opposed to the full 1% for every win in the plaguerider raid.

I for one, need all my 5 characters to be able to participate. Only my top 3 had enough might to go in. The fights were not tough for them, really not that tough, but energy burns down fast...

I tried to jump in on the last raid and it said I couldn't do it. Perhaps I need to give more information. My Justicar is named Melky (lvl 8) and my user name is limelicker.

You just did not have enough might, that's all.

That one was tough. I think we'll need more members.

I'm on the east coast & could kick off a raid most mornings (8-9) or anytime after 6 pm or so.

I'm pretty sure we can take care of Skar a few times a day. Just make sure you post in here when you start a raid. We'll stay clear of Lockbolt for while. At least until more of our people have leveled up and have at least the 500 might required to face him and his bunch.

Good job on the raid guys. I was only available for the first 30 minutes and there was not too many of us at the start. I checked back in with maybe 5 minutes to go and you were at 98% of phase 2. Close call but we got is done!

So what now, should we go from raid to raid or wait a little in between two of them?

Cooldown is over, as I said, it's 2:30 from the start of a raid, no matter how long it took us to finish it.

I could start one right now but won't be able to do much until maybe 45 minutes from now.

Well I started playing this game a little - pretty neat. Only thing now is the game is stuck and unplayable. I was on the guilds screen applying to the FOFC guild, and after that somehow I ended up with a screen that said Guilds, but was blank otherwise, and when I tried to use the back button it did not work. Even when i left the game and came back, still the same.

I had the same issue before. Did you try closing the game outright, instead of just leaving the game?

Ended up having to Delete and reinstall the game. I have joined the FOFC guild also - how do I get a username? Right now my namis just a bunch of gibberish.

well i seemed to have lost my characters :( tried my venan account and it doesnt work. It used to auto login, but now it says there's no account with my email. Damn, this sucks :( was just playing a couple hours ago too.

that is odd, your character is still in the guild though, online 11 hours ago from what it says. Try contacting Venan maybe...

But yeah, that sucks :(

Seems like a lot of people were talking about a similar problem last night in General. Admins said there's a workaround posted on the Venan forums.

I emailed venan and they were nice enough to change it back. Way cool

In the game we were discussing turning on notifications for the game - it is pretty helpful. It will put an indicator on the app if there is a raid (sometimes) and more useful for me, it will ping you with a notifier when your energy and health are restored.

Also, I noticed in the latest content update in the item store, there's now a way to trade 20 squire valor for 1 soldier valor. So, for high level people, there's still a point to these low level raids once you've bought all the squire items.

I just discovered that with those Valor points, you can get much higher pieces of equipment than what you'd be allowed to equip if you bought the same with silver coins. I mean, I was able to buy some armor that was a level 6 for one of my character and was allowed to equip it while it said I needed to be level 13 if I'd bought a same tier 6 armor with silver coins. nice :)

Too bad the squire valor points don't purchase items above level 16 (tier 6?).

Anybody interested in running the guild? I like the game, still play it, but I cannot be online much and cannot coordinate stuff as much as we need to if we want to grow as a guild. For example, raids could be scheduled more regularly, and I would probably take part in many of them, but I have a real hard time sitting down and doing the planning, or even simply the announcing on here that a raid is coming.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll promote you to officer in the guild.

I think we can create a regular schedule that a group of officers can coordinate. For example, I'm usually on my iPad at around 6:30pm Pacific Time while I try to put my one-year-old to sleep, so I can start one each night at that time, no need for an announcement, just go online and see if a raid has started. Maybe coordinate two or more officers for that time slot, in case I am unable to start a raid, another officer who happens to be online sees one not started will start one in my place.

We can do this for another time slot in a particular day.

A schedule make sense. 6:30 Pacific Time works for my central time zone.
