FOFC Winston Cup: Season 6
 

Daytona, FL - The brand new season of FOFC Racing is set to get underway. Many new drivers are ready to set their mark in the FOFC Winston Cup Series. And many veterans including Chris Snow are back again.

The rookie class is a good one. Busch Series call-ups include Scottie Montgomery in the #1 Powerade car, Billy Joe Bob Cole in the #30 Country Time car, Aaron Hogg in the #39 United Tractor car, and He's Crapnificent in the #77 Army car. Other newcomers include Kool Breeze in the #4 Tech TV car, #22 Jeeber D Mack in the Baja Fresh car, Fireball Kobeck in the #28 Motorcraft car, #55 Taco Money in the Sunny Delight car, GoT in the #75 A&W Root Beer car, and Ren Snow in the #94 Sunoco car.

Many top veterans will be back again, including #17 Chris Snow, #18 Kai Collins, #3 Shane Koremlink, #2 Daniel Ertmann, #42 Bobby Mask, #7 It's Craptacular, #10 Vince Morgan, #12 Rewbie Newsday, #19 Travis Elkin, #24 I.B. Long, #27 Billy Rudd, #34 Sterling Silvers, #44 Mike Tokunga, #51 Nick Phillips, #66 Angel Reaper, #69 Al Kaholic, #96 Sonny Daze, #79 Telle Snow, and #70 Badstreet Fields.

#38 Curtis Parsons is back after being absent from the series for a few seasons.

Daytona 500 Results
 

A crazy day at Daytona, numerous lead changes and cautions. The race started out clean but after the first wreck involving Scottie Montgomery and Mike Tokunga on lap 35 things went downhill. 16 cars were knocked out of the race in accidents. Only twelve cars ended the race on the lead lap. Chris Cadillac and It's Craptacular ended up going down to the wire, but Cadillac held off the hard charging Craptacular to pick up the Daytona victory.

Nick Phillips led the most laps with 37 and finished in 4th. The highest finishing rookie was Ren Snow in 6th.

Very nice way to start the season gold! Now hopefully we can run some cleaner races and have some tighter finishes.

5.24 seconds away from repeating my Daytona 500 win :( Well, I finished almost 30 spots better than the first two tries, so no complaints here :) Keep up the good work.

Once again my driver Bobby Mask seems to get caught up in a wreck despite running well. This happened all season last year and in the Track Championship Series. I hope this doesn't continue all season long.

Atlanta 500 Results
 

This day had one dominating driver, Telle Snow. But Telle Snow's day didn't end up in a win.

Despite dominating almost all of the race, 274 laps led, Telle Snow lost the lead when it counted most. After a restart for the one and only caution of the day Kodos Kang took over the lead when Snow was caught up in traffic and never looked back, leading the final 25 laps to take the victory.

Martinsville 500 Results
 

Once again for the second straight week a Snow dominated the race. But once again a Snow lost the lead in the late stages and finished 2nd. This time it was points leader Chris Snow who led 404 of 500 laps before losing the lead in the pits after the final caution of the day with 76 laps left. Rewbie Newsday took the lead after the caution flag and never looked back.

Tough day for Sterling Silvers. He was involved in the first caution of the day when Lance Vance's gearbox broke causing a small chain reaction crash. Silvers got the worst of it and spent the rest of the day in and out of the pits making repairs. He finished 40th, 60 laps down.

The Rookie of the race was Jeeber D Mack who started and finished in 3rd place. The next closest rookie was Scottie Montgomery in 10th one lap down.

After Zenjoltis we will head off to Bristol, a track that is 4 and half miles shorter then Zenjoltis.

Reigning Champion and dare we say "Dominator" of the FOFC Winston Cup series Chris Snow had this to say after hiw overwhelming control of the race at Martinsville came up one spot short today as he finished second:

"I gotta hand it to Rewbie, he ran me clean all day, he's a good racer and a nice guy. I thought he was kinda soft sticking with that Oreo cookie deal, but hey, if a man wants Milk and cookies instead of Scotch? more power to him. We had the most amazing car today. I kept telling Zippy to not change a thing, he wanted to tweak the car and he was probably right. One of these days the Driver and the Oner need to wake up and listen to the guy they hired to be the brains of the race day team, Sorry Zippy, we'll kick their asses next week!"

With that he popped a Coor's Light and walked back into his hauler. Rumors have Abounded that there is a major team oriented sponsorship change coming again for this team. Kodak has always said they wanted to be here, but Snow was too demanding for their wallets. Recently however the Coor's corp has been meeting with Snow Motorsports as often as 3 times a week. What are they talking? what are they planning? nobody here as yet has those answers... back to the shops at MSN!

MSN: Chris Snow was unavailable for comment after an appearent tirade at the end of the Darlington event. Sources close to the team said its no big thing, that he melts down once or twice a season, and everyone had best watch out for the #17 Chevy in the next few weeks

Man, I am just not getting any luck this year. Even when I win (don't get me wrong, I'm really thankful), I can't build on it and follow it up with two wrecks.

BTW, in the picture with me winning the checkered flag, mine is the black car with orange and yellow on the hood and white on the roof directly behind the black car with grey and white crossing the line.

Sears Point Results
 

Nick Phillips dominated the Sears Point weekend, 2nd in 1st practice, won the pole and was fastest in final practice. Then for the first 48 laps of the race, no one could touch him. But after a few cautions he and a few others got on a different pit strategy then others and it stuck him behind a few lapped cars and could never make up ground on the leaders. GoT took the lead over with 18 laps remaining and it looked like it was his day. But in Turn 7 his car ran out of fuel and it gave #50 B. Lemke the win.

Bad luck struck a couple of top drivers today. Points leader Rewbie Newsday got caught up in a wreck and finished 25th. Vince Morgan also was caught up in the same wreck and finished in 28th.

Nick Phillips ran a terrific race and took the win after leading 110 of 160 laps. Kodos Kang finished right behind him. Kid Quick, Hacker Vance, and Sterling Silvers rounded out the top 5.

Wow,

Looked for my name at the bottom of the standings at Sear's Point and couldn't find it. I was shocked to see me at 5th. Follow that up with a 17, and maybe my luck is turning.

Ugh, not finishing a race really hurts in the standings. I must do better next race!

This has not been a good season for the Crown Royal racing team. Wrecks, bottom of the standing finishes. Not what we envisioned.

Rookie mistake
 

"GoT took the lead over with 18 laps remaining and it looked like it was his day. But in Turn 7 his car ran out of fuel and it gave #50 B. Lemke the win."

Man I need to communicate better with the crew chief. At least I got a strangle-hold on the bottom of RoY standings.

Today wasn't the best day to be a front runner. Scottie Montgomery who took the lead over from Chris Snow and led 74 laps came down with a flat tire and needed to pit, that put him a lap down and he could not gain it back. But his flat tire caused a chain reaction crash that involved many cars and involved points leader Rewbie Newsday. He was able to salvage a 12th place finish but was a never a factor after the crash. Before that wreck Kodos Kang led 54 laps and it looked like it would be a good points day but he was involved in a wreck and finished 36th. Chris Snow had a very good day and it looked like the points lead could be his. But like Scottie Montgomery a flat tire ruined his day while he was leading. He would finish 19th despite leading 215 laps. Newsday actually gained 11 points on Snow.

Then Kyle Kappe took over and led the final 49 laps despite many lapped cars and a few challenges from Al Kaholic who pulled on the side of Kappe a few times but couldn't make the pass. Angel Reaper, It's Craptacular and Ren Snow rounded out the top 5.
