I want the best of the best as always. Gonna get on and do my redshirts and recruiting board now.
|
No special schedule requests.
I got my redshirts done but need to set up my recruit board, yet it says I am ready to advance. Im not. Will try to get it in this evening, leaving now for a family event. |
I get home from the road tonight. In the AM I will do all my redshirts and stuff, can you give me until then?
|
Ready to advance here. Going to be a tough year on the recruiting trail. "need" 16 players and no onee will let me in the house, breath must stick.

2020 Heisman Race
|
Woo hoo! Very excited to get the season started! Even more excited to see us at #1 in the polls. Should be an exciting Heisman race as well.
|
Not even ranked...yay!
|
Alabama right off the bat, I am very excited for this. Lots of new starters to break in on my side of things, and even though he will again be splitting snaps (at least early on), I anticipate QB Chris Frederick to be a much bigger part of our offense this year. Excited to unleash RB (and former punter) Jim Fry as well. He has learned a lot in his time waiting for his opportunity, and I think we can produce 2 1000 yard backs this season with him and Collins in the backfield. WR Atkins will also be a huge contributor, his speed is incredible and his hands have slowly caught up to that in his time here.
|
USC is done recruiting for week 1 :)
|
Will be interesting to see which of my top 2 QBs becomes the replacement for Raymond Bell. I think they will alternate quarters until one becomes an obvious choice over the other. Right now, I somewhat favor the sophomore over the junior.
|
We cruised in week 1, but I was not terribly pleased with the defense. We threw the ball pretty well. Adjusting to life without a superstar TE is going to be interesting, but Danny Bain seemed like he would be up to the task so there isn't too much of a drop off after our stud monster beast TE Brian Davis left us this past season.
|
We're also trying to replace a great TE.
|
Hey guys just a quick heads up.
A while (march/april) back I was a hold up a bunch while my Godfather/mentor/uncle was very ill. At one point they had brought hospice in and the family had gathered to pay their last respects etc. Well inexplicably he made a dramatic tun and things were really pointing in the right direction. He was dismissed from the hospital and we had placed him in an intermediate term rehab facility where he had regained his ability to walk and transfer himself from bed to wheelchair and was making great progress. We had a meeting scheduled for Tuesday with the medical team to discuss end game strategies as it related to him moving back home and out of treatment. Well last night he passed. Alone. And without any spectacular event. Simply ate dinner and laid down to rest around 7pm and they couldnt wake him for his meds at 9pm. Only 59. So the next few days for me are...unknown right now. I know Ill be home tonight and if my mind is right ill try to get both leagues up to date. |
So sorry for your loss.
|
Very sorry to hear of your loss, CU. At least he got to enjoy a bit of a rebound, and got to go peacefully. But 59 is way too young to go.
Don't worry about these leagues, unless you want a distraction. |
I am out of town until Sunday...So Monday I will launch the Utah ass kicking..
|

Sorry for your loss CU. Take some time, and as Kodos said, if it helps you clear the mind cool, if not...just take your time, we all understand. |
Thanks for all the support guys.
Talk about getting kicked while down. Last night at the visitation we had some ...family drama. Not all that unexpected. Then on the way home I get pulled over and detained for nearly an hour. Apparently someone in a black Tahoe robbed a store. Never mind we were in a Blue Suburban...but whatever and a family of 4 dressed in suits and dresses. Oh and I forgot the subject was black and we aren't. Anyway that was resolved and the officer was as polite enough during the process I suppose. Then we get released and...Apparently we ran over a chunk of metal when we pulled off the road for the cop. So I got to change a flat tire. On the side of the road, in the dark, in dress pants. My son held the cell phone flash light and we made do and were on our way in just a touch under 20 minutes. The cop pulled out and drove by during this and never offered to stop, help shine his headlights for us to work by anything...but the spare had air and we knew how to do it so I guess we were blessed in that regard. Anyway. Finally got home around 1. Just knocked out recruiting here. About to head back to the funeral home/church for the service. |
That is horrible. I hope things get better for you soon.
|
Wow. Sorry things have been so shitty for you lately, CU.
|
Thanks guys. Just got back in from the service.
It was a very touching service done very well. A tad awkward because my entire (very) extended family are (very) devout Catholics and I am...well I am... religiously lazy. Havent been to any church in years despite probably classifying myself as a believer. It was a Catholic service complete with mass and a collective gasp (im not exaggerating) was heard when I didnt walk up for communion. I'm the black sheep but I'm comfortable in my black fur. But other than the scorching (102F) heat at the graveside it was a nice day to re-connect with lots of folks I hadnt seen in far too long. Enough BS let's play some football and forget. |
Week 2 - Deadline is 6/24 (Weds) at 11 p.m. EST
|
Yay! Can't wait to try this team out in a game!
|
Ditto. I'm very interested to see which one of our top 2 QBs will take command of the starting job. Both will get their chance to impress me.
|
gonna get my ORGEON shortly.
|
We struggled hard against Oregon but finally managed to wear them down late and come away with a 44-28 win. Our offense barely cracked 400 yards I think, if that. I don't know if it was their defense being hot or our offense being cold, but things weren't easy at all.
|
We had a very frustrating debut. I thought Gilmore was starting off his Heisman campaign in grand style as we took a 21-0 lead before the 1st half of the 1st quarter was over. However, he got hurt in the pocket and was knocked out of the game before getting to make any more plays. Davis had a surprisingly huge amount of bad throws and threw a few bad picks. With 20 seconds left, we were only up 21-17 but then Davis found Stewart for an electrifying TD reception that went over 80 yards. We took a 28-17 lead and we were ready for big things from Stewart in the 2nd half...
But, then Stewart went down on the 1st play of the 2nd half and our starting HB would not play (for reasons I don't understand.) We had to use our 3rd and 4th string backs and our offense struggled for a bit and they closed the gap. Then, the game became truly strange. Suddenly, neither offense could be stopped. We exchanged TD after TD. I've never seen a CPU offense play so well against us. They got an offside kick and made it a 56-51 game late on a quick TD. Fortunately, we got the next onside kick and marched it down the field for the final score of 63-51. Bizarre game. Good news is that Gilmore and Stewart are both back next week. Hopefully, one of them can have a huge game to stay in the Heisman race. |
We came out of the gate a little slow, but then proceeded to whip Stanford. It was over by the half.
|
cruiting done.
Stll no games to play |

You still have 500 points left. |
Ok, game is done. Sorry it took so long, my oldest graduated from High School this weekend and I traveled back to Buffalo to be there for it.
We barely pulled off the win against #14 UCLA. Our young talented QB kicked ass but he fumbled twice and threw an INT. I have to shore up our defense. |
Week 3 - Deadline is 7/7 (Tues) at 11 p.m. EST
|
Indiana manhandled UCLA today. Held them to 40 yards or so in the first half. Love our kickoff guy - he hasn't allowed a kickoff return this season.
|
Quote:
Always love hearing about UCLA getting demolished. :D |
I threw a final touchdown as time ran out just for you! ;)
|
I can't wait to play my game tomorrow. As a heads-up (for both leagues), I will be on vacation and unable to play from July 15th until the 26th.
|
Likewise I'll be gone the 11th through th 19th. Ill gte both of mine in before i leave
|
I'll be gone next weekend as well.
|
Our defense came out very good and our offense was even better. Except for 2 turnovers (1 INT and 1 fumble), Gilmore and the rest of our offense could not be stopped. We never punted as we destroyed Pittsburgh. Gilmore had over 100 yards rushing and a few TD's. He also threw for over 400 yards as we had 3 receivers with over 100 yards receiving.

With the nation's #1 TE in the house we dispelled any rumors that we didnt know how to use a TE as the Sr Patton was named POG after 200 yards and 3 scores. We won a all too close game for 2 weeks in a row.
Really frustrated with this team. Seems to be a number of players with lesser ratings out playing their higher rated counter parts. Changes are coming. We are either going to improve or get the rooks experience. Guess I shouldnt complain we are 3-0 and have been an underdog in 2 out of 3 games... I am getting all I want from the CPU this year for sure. |
We had injury problems this game. Our top RB went down very early. Stewart went down a bit later. Alabama had a very good defense and offense that could actually do some things against us. Their offense was actually the best I've seen from a CPU in a long time. They moved the ball, but our defense managed to force 3 interceptions and a fumble. Gilmore got banged up and had to come out of the game 3 different times but he still played incredible when he was in the game. He had almost 300 yards passing and over 100 yards rushing as he was the main force guiding us to a 45-25 win over Alabama in their house.

Can't wait to beat up on ND! :)
|
Woo Hooo 7 commits!
That temporarily places us atop the Recruiting Rankings. Our media department is creating a graphic to send to all the recruits we are still chasing with that info :D |
Well I just played Miss State and won 37-13, then after the game the system says "the commissioner has made changes which require you to restart." I now have to play the game again. Lame. Now I am really going to beat the fuck out of these guys.
|
Heh-heh-heh! My plan is working!
|
What changes?
Inquiring minds want to know... |
For the record, I have not made any changes in probably a year.
|
I've been getting that error a lot lately, and I have no idea why.. But this is the first time I have had to replay a game because of it. We won the second time something like 77 or 70 to 40 something. Our defense didn't do shit.
|
We dominated ND. We held them to 0 of 8 passing to start the game and outscored them 28-0 in the 1st. We had a 49-0 lead at the half. Then, they started really moving the ball and scored. That upset us but we were still going to coast a long. Then, they took out Stewart (who seems injury prone) for the rest of the game. That got us really fired up. We started firing on all cylinders again. We crushed ND 98-10.

The Suck of the Irish.

We lost to #9 Oregon with 5 seconds left. Our second half sucked as our Heisman Hopeful QB went out with a concussion and the backup did jack squat.

Ouch. Rough way to lose, Macro.

Odd. Trying to log for the website and it keeps logging me on for my PS3 account which has no dynasties.
|
YEEEEE Clemson. Lets brawl.
|
Gilmore threw 2 early picks that I fear will hurt his Heisman chances, but otherwise he played a brilliant game and he had us up 42-0 at the half. Our defense managed to force 5 turnovers to trounce Penn State 77-10.
|
And we took ND out behind a woodshed with a house full of recruits watching. It was needed after the last second loss last week.
|
I'm hoping ND can have a perfect season.

Lost to A&M by 3.
Couldn't hold onto the ball. 5 fumbles. And aTm has some really good QBs . We knocked the starter out, but both he and the BU were shaking off DE blasts to the face to scramble for yards all day. They combined for 5 BTK. Defense is fully of studs but not playing like it. Gotta figure something out on that side o the ball quick. |
BTW shows everyone ready to advance now.

I am off Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week and could play during the day those days. I can also play most evenings after 9 pm Eastern this week. |

Aww, baby butts. Can't wait to play this morning.

Played my game last night, but had to pause during the middle to put the kids in bed. Came back, finished up a 42-17 win, and found out I had been logged out of Live. Couldn't get the game to upload, so looks like I have a do-over.
P.S. Duke's top tight end is a monster. |
Macro and I had a very interesting game. His rushing offense was 1st in the nation (I think) while our passing game was tops in the nation but we had a role reversal. We ran the ball very effectively and while he ran the ball well, his passing was deadly too. We went back and forth early but a pick gave us a chance to build a good lead. Unfortunately, we fumbled it away. We managed to force a fumble later in the half and had a chance to build a big lead going into the half, but a bad pick (on a nice play by his MLB) led to a change of momentum. Macro marched down the field including an incredible highlight catch TD, break two tackles, and rumble into the endzone to make it 35-35 at the half.
In the 2nd half, the pace of play and the offenses slowed down a bit and we managed to take a 56-42 lead in the 4th but Macro marched right down the field again. His offense was very impressive. We managed to get the onside kick and we ran out the final 2 minutes for a tense 56-49 win. |
The fans got a good show!

It was an amazing game! Slugfest for both of us, I just had no answer for the USC run game. |
Held on to squeak past Auburn.
Was tough to play. The "9"/go routes were open all game, but it felt cheesy to just throw it over and over. So I tried in vein to run, even broke a long option for a 70+ TD. But in the 4th they just kept kamimaze blitzing and leaving the slop uncovered. Finally had to take avantage of it with 2 long TD passes |
