I don't care much whether you are a good guy or a wolf honestly. You make your conference very dangerous to the other three conferences. My conference loses if either the wolves win or another conference wins. So either way, you're a threat. I changed my vote solely because I'd rather vote for Molson then have the vote be "no sanctions".

I'm not giving out who I'm scanning until I come up with a concrete result -- but I am scanning your conference.

I would hope the other scouts are focusing on the other conferences, including mine.

whoops -- molson won the vote, didn't he? Fixed.

Passacaglia 12-07-2007 03:47 PM

BCS Poll is fixed, too. With that, I think we're set for Day 5.

Passacaglia 12-07-2007 03:48 PM

I'll be checking in off and on for a little while before I go, though. Let me know if anything looks amiss.

SnDvls 12-07-2007 03:51 PM

so If I'm caculating things right path & RendeR have no shot at winnnig a league game right?

if RendeR (-10) plays Anxiety (23)

Anxiety has a 1.76 chance to win and RendeR has a -.76 chance to win

or am I way off here?

Negative powerpoints are treated like zero, when calculating win-loss. Yes, unless Anxiety throws the game, RendeR will not win.

If by "about 100" you mean 50, yes.

I haven't looked at Molson yet, but I'd guess a lobbyist moved the sanctions.

Mr. Wednesday 12-07-2007 04:03 PM

Dola, er, or maybe all 50 sabotage points got put on him, which would be kinda an odd thing to do unless the bad guys are really desperate.

path12 12-07-2007 04:03 PM

I can definitively say that the detractor seer is in the Transylvania conference. I have scanned all four teams (who all lost the day they were scanned I believe, but I'll check that again to make sure) and no detractor was found.

RendeR 12-07-2007 04:04 PM

Claphamsa is NOT a detractor. According to my scan last night.

RendeR 12-07-2007 04:06 PM

I'l apologize to everyone again, this week has been hell at work and I've been a terrible terrible player. Missed 2 scans and forgot to put in orders at least once.

Bleh, sorry guys.

Still could be, see my above post. I scanned him last night also.

Mr. Wednesday 12-07-2007 04:07 PM

st.cronin is the avowed scout in our conference. If we assume that the role is the same regardless of whether the individual is a wolf or normal, and if we trust your results, then that would make cronin the detractor.

Actually, cronin was my top suspect just going by gut off of his posts. The order your conference was scanned was: ntn, Mr W, cronin and clapham. All results came back not a detractor.

Mr. Wednesday 12-07-2007 04:10 PM

And I'm assuming that you scanned cronin on day 3, because he won on day 1 and day 2.

path12 12-07-2007 04:11 PM

Dola, apparently not all the scouts have been scouting every day. I think we're at the point going into conference play where we need to get our results out there such as they are.

Correct.

ntndeacon 12-07-2007 04:17 PM

Pass you have claphamsa playing st. cronin twice. I assume the second day I should play him.

that is fine as long as I can get half his points :D

chesapeake 12-07-2007 04:47 PM

How did BK earn 35 points by losing to molson? He would have gained that if he had won.

chesapeake 12-07-2007 04:59 PM

Also, by my count, Alan T should be at 82 points instead of 72 and Sndvls at 30 instead of 40.

That was my fault, too. Barkeep49 won that game.

Right on both counts. Sorry about all these mistakes, guys -- today has been a crazy day for me, starting with the fact that I left my spreadsheet on my work computer! These are both fixed -- luckily it doesn't change the computer rankings -- everyone stays in the same order.

Passacaglia 12-07-2007 06:13 PM

Okay, I'm out. Have a good weekend, all! If my PM box is full, my e-mail address is agage1 AT gmail DOT com

Chief Rum 12-07-2007 06:53 PM

Man, I lost to Team 30? That sucks!

You know, it would be fun to know the rolls in the honest games. I hope Pass is keeping track. That way, I know if I erred too far in going with 30 instead of 25 let's say (a decision I made last night), or if I was screwed no matter what (roll came up, like, 2, or something).

st.cronin 12-08-2007 09:32 AM

dola, I am not a detractor.

chesapeake 12-09-2007 01:32 PM

I think we've found the wolf scout, St. Cronin, and equipment manager, Molson, leaving the lobbyist and saboteur still at large.

Word is that the Irish are in talks with several coaches, and as many as 3 major powers could be "converting" to the Catholic Conference. Financial experts speculate that in order to succeed in establishing the conference, the money provided by the BCS to the at-large team would be required.

Starting now, when a scout throws the game, he must specify if he wants to learn whether or not the team he's scouting is a Catholic, or a detractor.

We've essentially ignored this for a day, but we need to start trying to identify the Catholics. And it is about time, if you ask me. Would it make sense for our seers to start with scanning folks with 100+ PPs? I would think that those teams would be the most likely to end up with the at-large berth.

Barkeep49 12-09-2007 01:53 PM

Basically we now have a second group of bad guys to worry about, as I see it. And we're far behind finding out who they might be than the initial wolves.
