Uzzi Radovich looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up. Dmitriy Rurik glares at his opponent from the opposite corner.
This is the first time they meet inside the cage.

And there you go! I would put my money on Dmitriy Rurik today.

The referee of the bout is Yuji Shimada.

Autumn 10-08-2010 09:12 PM

Yes!

dubb93 10-08-2010 09:14 PM

Looks like we have a legit striker on our hands.

EagleFan 10-08-2010 09:23 PM

The final team competiton will be on Monday. The winning team will get to select the finl two matchups of the team competition. If there is a tie (unlikely) each team will select what order they want their final two fighters to fight in. The fighters selected first by each team will fight and the ones selected second will fight.

This will consist of 5 events. The CPU fighters will not participate. Each team must select one event per fighter (everyone participates). You may need to compare skills to determine the best matchup.

The winning team will learn some details of the remaining two fighters from the other team to help them pick their matchups.

The events:
- 100 meters race
- Shotput
- Long jump
- Javelin (sp?)
- Arm wrestling

dubb93 10-08-2010 09:27 PM

Are these auto resolved once we select the contentants or do we need to expend effort which can/will effect us in our final two first round fights?

No effort required on this one, just a matter of selecting the best event per fighter.

Darth Vilus 10-09-2010 12:51 AM

I CAN NOT BE DEFEATED!!!!!

I FIGHT TO WIN! FOR ME!

FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!

EagleFan 10-09-2010 12:51 AM

Not directly game related but I will be starting an interactive dynasty for the Front Office Fighting Championship over the weekend.

Now for the game related portion, the winner of this competition will be crowned the heavyweight champion and and be carried over to the dynasty.

Mention of the other fighters from this thread will be in there as well (and any of you that want your fighter to be active in that dynasty let me know, all are welcomed).

I plan on having at least one "show" each weekend and one during the week. With a Main Event type of "PPV" once a month.

I will flesh out other weight divisions over the weekend.

dubb93 10-10-2010 04:46 PM

I'm all over this dynasty. Will there be other Ultimate Fighter seasons?

dubb93 10-10-2010 05:06 PM

Just an idea, but since I saw that you are going to allow one fighter per division I'm going to assume you are going to have fictional fighters controlled by you as well. Maybe let people participate in other seasons(if you plan on doing this) and then after the fact give them the choice of either controlling their new character or their old one and you can take over the fighter they no longer want.

I'm also going to PM you with something I would prefer to keep private.

Yes, hoping to have other seasons if this goes over well enough. Thinking about the idea as well (allowing them to enter a new fighter into the TUF season but have to give up their current one in that division).

EagleFan 10-11-2010 05:57 PM

The teams are gathering in the field and making last minute preparations for their final challenge. Which team will gain the advantage? Which team will claim the title of FOFC Ultimate Fighter: Season One Team Champions?

Just a few minutes left to discuss strategy.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:10 PM

First up, an event which requires agility, aggressiveness, control and condtioning.. the 100 meters.

Team Autumn sends Raiders Army to the starting line. Team Danny looks a little less organized and sends Schmidty out at the last minute.

The two men line up.

Ready!!!

Set!!!

Go!!!

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:13 PM

Both men get a quick start. After the first 25 meters it is neck and neck. Then Raiders Army begins to slowly adge ahead. After 50 meters Raiders Army is about a meter in front.

At 75 meters he has pulle far enough ahead that this is no longer in doubt. He coasts to victory for Team Autumn.

Team Autumn is up 1-0.

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:17 PM

And RA scores!

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:18 PM

The next event is one that requires strength, size and heart.... the shotput.

Autumn steps up for his team. Team Danny looks around and picks out DaddyTorgo. They do not look like they prepared for this competition as well as Team Autumn had, maybe that is their strategy- to get Team Autumn overconfident.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:21 PM

Each will get two throws. DaddyTorgo steps up first.

He sets himself, throws.... and gets good distance. It looks to be about 50 feet.

Autumn steps up for his first throw. He prepares and throws....

but he fouls.

It went about 55 feet but will not count.

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:22 PM

FOUL!?!?!?

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:22 PM

This one should be money in the bag. Autumn is massive.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:22 PM

Autumn is up first for the next throw. He readies and throws...

No foul this time and he put everything into it.

It sails past DaddyTorgo's first shrow and lands at 58 feet. He has taken the lead with DaddyTorgo having his last throw up next.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:23 PM

Daddytorgo prepares. Sets himelf and throws....

It lands at about 53 feet, well short of Autumn's mark.

Autumn wins the shotput.

Team Autumn takes a 2-0 lead.

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:24 PM

Score another one!

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:25 PM

The long jump is next. Team Danny sends Chief Rum out immediately. Team Autumn sends out Darth Vilus. Team Danny needs this event to stay alive.

Each player will get two jumps.

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:26 PM

This one isn't looking so hot for us.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:27 PM

Chief Rum starts it out.

He prepares mentally. Takes a breath and he is off, sprinting down the approach. He jumps....

Dirt kicks up from the landing area and they measure...

18 feet, 6 inches

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:29 PM

Darth Vilus begins immediately down the approach once the clear signal is given. He flies through the air with amazing dexterity and lands at...

18 feet

4 inches

Good, but Chief Rum still has the mark to beat.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:31 PM

Chief Rum will take his second run at it. He prepares himself again and then launches himself down the approach. He reaches speeds that may have been better suited for the 100 meters.

He jumps, and flies through the air to land at...

19 feet

4 inches

Very nice second jump.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:33 PM

Darth Vilus has one chance to win it for his team, or they move to the next event.

This time he waits, prepares, inhales... takes a peak towards Team Danny... smirks.... and is off....

He seems to have found a gear that he didn't have for his first jump.

He jumps...

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:34 PM

He lands at...

19 feet...

8 inches...

Team Autumn has won the event.... but wait....

Team Danny is protesting!

They say that Darth Vilus had crossed the line before jumping, that it should be a foul.

The judges gather to discuss it...

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:34 PM

....and lands on his face?

dubb93 10-11-2010 06:35 PM

Bullshit. We won this fair and square.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 06:35 PM

After a discussion they have ruled that it was a legal jump...

Team Autumn wins 3-0.

They get to choose the final matchups.

EagleFan 10-11-2010 07:01 PM

After tonight we will hold full 8 fight events each of the next three nights. The main events will be the tournament bouts.

A pretty fair match today. I can't say who will be the one who will be raising his fist after the match.

The referee of the bout is Herb Dean.

Phil McCracken glares at his opponent from the opposite corner. Mike Jackson raises his fists in his corner. He seems confident. This is the first time they meet inside the cage.
