Werewolf VII- Return to XCom
Have spots for 15 players, I'd really like to keep FOFC history going and get guys who were active in Godzilla Blitz's (wonder what happened to him, don't see him round here no more) X-Com dynasty, but it's open to all.
|
Oh helllllllll yes.
I'm in. |
Another Werewolf thread. |
This it not just a werewolf thread, thank you very much.
This is an X-Com Werewolf thread. Hundreds of valiant FOFC's laid down their lives for the survival of humanity. Show some respect. :) *proudly wears his Mars Survivor Ribbon* |
Sure. I've missed it.
Farrah, you need to break the gender barrier and join in. |
I would like to join in, but I have been dissapointed every time I have played, save the first time. I fear that my lack of internet access during normal business hours may be a hinderance.
|
I was late to the X-Com party, but managed to get capped once in my brief tenure. Would love to participate in this.
|
Never played X-Com, but I'll do it.

(used to be PsychoCop) |
I'll be in, but I didn't play GB's game very much.
|
Ill tell ya what. If you need someone to be an alternate, I will play. Otherwise I'd rather watch from the sidelines...
|
Cool, Airhog :D
|
Werewolf helps me pass the time at work. In.
|
I would love to get in on this.
|
I wasn't involved in the dynasty thread, but if you need alternates, I can play.

|
I'm interested, though I'd be fine with giving priority to the X-Com dynasty folk. Not only was I never involved with that thread, I've never played X-Com at all.
|
Ok, this is what we have.
In: Coffee Swaggs Hoops Raiders Qwikshot Neon_Chaos Schmidty digamma Vince JeeberD Blade6119 Mr. Wednesday Fouts Alternate: Airhog 13 in, so all we need is two more roles to be filled, and then I will send out the beginning story and inform all of their roles. |
me me me
|
Ok, KingFC has role 14, I think I will start sending out the roles tonight and just reserve one role for #15
|
The X-Com I remember is where you searched an alien crash site by moving about 10 spaces and firing at the aliens. That's going back a few years though.
|
That's the one -- but there was so much more to it than that. One of my all-time favorite games...definitely in the top five.
|
Ok, all but #15's role's sent successfully. If you are in and haven't gotten a PM from me, or have questions about your role, please do not hesitate to PM me.
|
Woo! Let's get this party started :)
|
The situation:
Every year, X-Com agents gather at bases all across the world, remembering their friends and family members, lost in battles all over the world, and some even on other worlds. It's the 10th anniversary of the "Salvation of Mankind" (how folks publically refer to the battle of Cydonia). This year.. something went wrong. The 15 of you entered X-Com base Global-4.. and something happened. You were going through the command center, when alarms shattered the air with harsh shrieks. The computer, long since needing repair, reported. "Ectoplasmic sources detected in base. Per Base Invasion Protocols, shutting down major voice access to terminal. Shutting blast doors! There are 4 sources of Ectoplasmics in base command center. Cannot open armory unless sources of Ectoplasmic material are located and/or neutralized. You eye each other nervously. No Aliens had been reported for a good.. well.. the last known alien event was soon after the Cydonia battle. Only a few stragglers had survived the battle and soon were hunted down by XCom and civilian vengeance seekers. But now, according to the base sensors.. aliens not only have returned, but are amongst you once more. You can't tell who they are.. but the situation is not good. You're locked into one section of the base (although there are rooms for you all). The computer reports that per base protocols, one person per day is to be voted on and the person voted on will be immediately targeted by the base's weaponry. After each night, you will be able to tell if you have neutralized one of the EctoPlasmic sources, the computer will keep track. So as you head into the first night of your extended stay at Global-4.. you wonder what has happened in your orderly life. (There will be no kill in Night 0, the Enemy Forces need time to organize. All those with Night actions, PM's due by Friday Night at 8 PM EDT) Ectoplasmic Sources: FOUR |
Aw hell SirFozzie, put me in. I always loved the Xcom dynasties.
|
Ok Peregrine, you are #15, any other folks who want in will be put in on the Alternate Role list :D
|
Major Peregrine chews on the stub of a blackened cigar, spitting out his words. His left sleeve is empty, lost to an alien rocket attack. He's gained a few pounds in the last few years since he's retired from service, but still seems fit and just as determined.
"Pretty clear what we need to do here, people. Have the computer terminate us all now. It's the only way to be sure, we can't have those damn aliens prowling around again in our bodies. Think of the havoc they'd cause!" |

Yo. Squaddie Neon_Chaos reportin' fo' duty, ready to kick some alien ass!
|
As an X-com vet and survivor of GB's dynasty, I will be reading with interest. Luckily for you guys that means I won't be able to make any plans. :)
|
Reporting for duty with a heavy heart - I remember having to turn our weapons on our own men more than a few times back during the war.
Is there a science geek among us who might be able to shed some light on our new foe? Or just us gun-toting soldiers this time around? |
This seems really cool.
I'll be watching from the sideline. |
Turns plama rifle towards jeff ...
Opens auto-fire at sideline. |
hehe. Wonder how many games I'll have to sit out before I'm safe to survive the first lynching ;).
|
Quote:
You think you have it bad, this is the first time people can lynch me if they haven't been happy with my games they've been in! ;) |
Quote:
Probably not any more than any other wolf/creature/alien/whatever. Or the guy who concocts the plan that ends up with all the other good guys killed. |
Mornin'. Checking in, and saying, with gusto...
X-COMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! |
Sergeant JeeberD unconciously rubs the Purple Heart he received for his injury during the Mars assault with a troubled look on his face.
"Well, Gentlemen, we have a real situation here. We certainly can't let any of those Sectoid bastards get out of here alive...we worked too hard to kill them off the first time. The UN gave in to the creatures, and if it hadn't been for Commanders Kodos and Blitz' quick thinking, we would have been overrun. We can't let the situation get that grave again." "I killed the first Sectoid motherfucker that we came across on Mars, and I'll kill any Sectoid motherfuckers I come across here. I'm keeping a close eye on all of you..." |
This looks fun. Good luck ya'll.
FYI, I think I'll hold off my game for a while since this one just started up. I don't want us to get werewolfed out. :) |
MSgt CWII sure ain't gonna let no alien scum back on this planet.
I get a damn rifle this time, bucko. |
Mornin' fellow soldiers. Lookin' forward to strapping it on with you boys, just like we did back at Cydonia.
|
Just woke up, and checking in.
|
I guess I'm looking forward to bagging me some ectoplasm; as unhappy as it is to be looking to turn my weapons on my fellow vets, it's somehow fitting to be back in a situation where my only goal is my own survival.
|
Quote:
How very un-X-Com. My only goal is/was to save the human race from alien enslavement. To each their own, I suppose... |
Just my luck to suvive the wars to get stuck in this...who's got the rocket launchers?
