VOTE ABE SARGENT

claphamsa 08-06-2008 09:32 AM

the vote decided
maybe becasue of a tie
not a vote threshold

PackerFanatic 08-06-2008 09:38 AM

You feel strongly about that vote, Lathum? Pretty early to make a vote like that...

path12 08-06-2008 09:40 AM

RendeR, why were you speaking in Shakespeare yesterday?

KWhit 08-06-2008 09:50 AM

I don't think we need to lynch Pass yet - I'd like him to explain himself a little more - and explain what the alchemist does.

Render? Eh, I don't have a read on him, but doubt he'd bring so much attention on himself as a wolf. So I'm going another direction for now.

Vote ntndeacon.

Similar to the BK vote yesterday, this is a vote I don't like - the post gives a rationale for something but ultimately doesn't even attempt to explain the vote, so it kind of seems like trying to sneak the vote in while in plain sight. I know this early on it's hard to give much of an explanation for anything, but at least humor me :P

Passacaglia 08-06-2008 09:59 AM

I just saw some of the posts right before deadline, concerned with me not being a creature. From the rules:

Quote:

The commoners will make up the rest of the characters. You may be a human, a dinosaur, or some sort of exotic creature. Each type of commoner will have certain abilities.

I think I'm okay being a human -- I wasn't told specifically that I was one, but it seems like a decent assumption.

Also, I had some notion that the win condition was to reach the center of the Labyrinth, but I don't see anything in the rules about that. Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part, cuz that would have been cool. Did anyone else see that?

His Logic is sound. His sounds are Logical. Logically speaking he must be on to something here.

Tyrith 08-06-2008 10:01 AM

And I agree that RendeR's act is far too overt for a wolf. Attention in the early game has a very high correlation with getting lynched. We stick to Occam's Razor too much when it comes to lynches to make that move a positive EV play, IMO.

Yeah, I did, at some point.

If one of the commoners finds the center of the labyrinth the game ends and the commoners win.

The Jackal 08-06-2008 10:04 AM

Sorry, it was in the original rules that I deleted, re-added to the first post.

It's a somewhat random vote, excluding the folks I mentioned (Pass and Render). I want Pass to explain himself better though, or I may be moving my vote to him.

Mkay, works for me.

RendeR 08-06-2008 10:06 AM

Jackal mentioned that if you reach the center you get out of the labyrinth, I don't think he ever said you WIN in that situation, other than excaping alive.

RendeR 08-06-2008 10:07 AM

erk, that'll teach me to post before refreshing the page....

Thankfully The Jackal had already posted, since I have no idea what you were saying here!

Nah. It was timing information and overall game plan, which is still there.

This is similar to the message I received. I too am planning on moving forward.

Passacaglia 08-06-2008 10:15 AM

So is reaching the center of the Labyrinth the only win condition, or can we also win by killing all the wolves?

FYI to the other commoners, I won't be hunting for the center, but I think commoners with no reason to do otherwise definitely should.

Still no hints as to why? :P

Alchemists can't be anything other than humans. I've never heard of a dinosaur alchemist.

So your reveal was a load of crap.

claphamsa 08-06-2008 10:19 AM

farrah whitworth rahn
why do you seem confident
that pass is wolfy

claphamsa 08-06-2008 10:20 AM

this haiku making
is much harder than i thouhgt
but is much more fun

My reveal was a load of crap because you've never heard of a dinosaur alchemist? I'm not even the one who said I wasn't a creature. All I said was that I was the Alchemist. People inferred from that (probably correctly) that I was human, which didn't jive with their roles as creatures. All I was doing with my later post was showing that it's okay for me to be a human -- although I don't see what would be WRONG with being a dinosaur alchemist, since it's just a game.

claphamsa 08-06-2008 10:23 AM

ntn still has
only 4 posts, are we sure he
knows the game is on?

Tyrith 08-06-2008 10:23 AM

Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it can't exist in the whacked out mind of some WW GM :P Not that I like the way Pass is going either, but I'm not putting too much past The Jackal.

Oh, it's because I can do other things that can hopefully help the commoners. But I don't like hints -- I usually figure that they will be received by the wrong people.

It is the only known win condition at this point. If all the wolves die you'll find out what happens.

I think you already
are a target for the wolves
due to you being pass

It's not really out of character for him. It's not like we were being productive most of yesterday anyway - mostly it was RendeR being a schizophrenic, out-of-work actor and us trying to figure out why :P

claphamsa 08-06-2008 10:28 AM

that is true, posting
is fun and enjoyable
I would like to win

I say lynch neither

we are back to day
one with no knowledge
other than pass has role

Wow, thanks. Anyone have input here? I was thinking of exploring an area that looks like a dead end, but maybe I should explore a more open area instead?

I'm guessing this isn't a nice, simple maze. There's probably all kinds of random stuff going on, so a dead end may not be just an empty corner.

claphamsa 08-06-2008 10:35 AM

I already have
hit a trap, I will track my

I think our best bet
will be to lynch all the wolves
the center will come

claphamsa 08-06-2008 10:37 AM

minotaur worries
I dont want to die this game
is much fun
