I'm assuming that he would be the Sheriff, but would have people working with/for him. Similar to how the science, medical and engineering groups will work as a team. I doubt it will be a one man crew.

We have an unknown among us. This individuals motivation for being here is unclear. It is very likely that this person will try to gain a position that secures their status. That position would most likely be Leader or Sheriff. Keep that in mind as you make your final decisions.

Also, I think as a Private Investigator, you have a very specific (yet important) role within this group. What will you be privately investigating while not searching for the stowaway? Figuring out who ate the last cookie from the cookie jar?

The same thing any other elected sheriff would be doing.

I wasn't aware that we had any cookies along in our supplies. Did you take them all Raven? I'll be keeping my eye on you. Best not see any crumbs on your shirt.

Then you should want to be the Scientist, not ask to be the Engineer. ;)

For once, we agree.

I am encouraging science through engineering. It makes much more sense to have someone with a science background as an engineer then someone with a construction background.

Why? Because we are going to Mars.

Actually if you could see me, you would not be calling me "Old Man". (this is from my interpretation of my ratings). I would look to be in my 40's maybe early 50's, very fit and muscular. Only my salt and pepper hair would betray my age. I have no doubt I could "keep up" quite well with my younger compatriots on this mission.

I don't think there's many baddies who would make a bold move to take a high profile spot. Depends on their character but I think most people wouldn't risk attracting the spotlight so early, especially if they're all on their own. Up to this point I probably have more faith in people who have come on strong to get a position like leader or sheriff.

Thomkal 02-17-2015 02:27 PM

Leader: DanGarion
Science: Timmae
Engineer: Grover
Sheriff: Thomkal

Shoveler 02-17-2015 02:28 PM

I dont suppose this 22nd person is a PR guy? If so I could use some campaign assistance.

But as someone stronger suited to being a scientist, why would you being trying to encroach on those of us who are engineers?

We need you where you would be strongest.

Paul Reiser, Weyland Yutani Corp.

Narcizo 02-17-2015 02:34 PM

Okiecokie - I've got to go. I'm a sucker for voting patterns however trivial they might be at the time. So I'll vote to keep things close but won't vote for anyone who has voted for government building. I think there's a lot to be said for concentrating on science after we get a foothold on the planet but I would say that.

Narcizo 02-17-2015 02:37 PM

Vote

Leader DanGarion
Scientist Narcizo
Engineer Saldana
Sheriff Thomkal
Doctor Chief Rum
Project Biodome

Narcizo 02-17-2015 02:40 PM

Despite my time problems I don't believe anyone has/can have better scientific credentials than I do. Otherwise I'd vote for Raven.

Raven 02-17-2015 02:40 PM

How are you guys voting DanGarion for Leader when he is the person we have the least amount of background information on??

Yeah, I don't see that one. I'm a bit unsure where to go with Leader, but I think we need whoever we pick to be very upfront and forthright about experience and interests.

What are these time problems you keep mentioning. Could you please provide us with further detail?

I believe he mentioned earlier in the thread that he had limited time to commit to WW.

Ah ok. I wasn't sure if this was some odd trait of his character.

Zinto 02-17-2015 02:50 PM

I think it is pretty apparent that we all started out with similar goals. A group goal to start production on a certain project and a personal goal to win a respective position in the leadership

Understanding my role within this group as a whole, I think it would be important to establish a governance model that prescribes my duties and ensures that I enforce the laws effectively and to the proper extent.

What we need is someone who can get their hands dirty and has experience leading. I can do both.

Also, I have more practice at making motivational speeches. WIN ONE FOR THE ZIPPER!

Yeah. Just that he operates on European time, so isn't around for deadlines.

Narc already made this point, but I don't think that's an assumption that can be made. On one hand they could pull strings from such a position, but there's also going to be a bright spotlight on them, so it could be more difficult to sabotage things from the front rather than from the shadows.

You're killing my campaigning platform..

GoldenEagle 02-17-2015 02:59 PM

I think everyone is failling into groupthink here and just voting for what was suggested at first. We all need to take a step back and evaluate our priorities before landing.

i think we are. People are evaluating what's been said before and voting based on that and when new people show up, some people are changing. Although I DO hope everybody checks back in and rethinks when they get the full picture

speaking of which.

engineer Grover

yeah the space thing tips it in monkey's favor. and the bananas.

so narcizo, do you have any more detail other than 'chemist'?
I actually was hoping there was an 'ist' in the group.

Based on chemist and "narc" being his user name, he is clearly Walter White.

JAG 02-17-2015 03:24 PM

Sharkn20 and Danny are the only two we have no info on this far, I believe.

CrimsonFox 02-17-2015 03:24 PM

okay DanG I'll give ya a shot.
I better get tuesday's off

leader dangarion

If government isn't going to fly, I'd prefer this.

well then our weekends are set

Sharkn20 02-17-2015 05:04 PM

Your scientist is here, I spent a lot time between computers and improving our hability to research could benefit the group in the middle time... What do you think about guys?

Sharkn20 02-17-2015 05:06 PM

Leader DanGarion
Scientist Sharkn20
Engineer Saldana
Sheriff Thomkal
Doctor Chief Rum
Project Science Research Facility

timmae 02-17-2015 05:06 PM

unvote Government
Vote Science Research Facility

Zinto 02-17-2015 05:07 PM

DanGarion what was your career on Earth?

Sharkn20 02-17-2015 05:09 PM

Your scientist was lost trying to find out what happened checking the black box! Time to vote me as the project investigator!!

timmae 02-17-2015 05:12 PM

Went with science research facility as Government seems to be a losing proposition. I still feel very strongly about having some order in place when we land. Hopefully our leader can establish that order without our main focus. I think science can help with food, weather conditions, help guide design of any structures, etc. Heck, we may need science and engineering to figure out the biodome.

+1  Now you have to choose your best scientist, so Sharkn20 is the guy!

timmae 02-17-2015 05:26 PM

What is your history? What areas can you excel at to lead the science team?? I want to know more as it now seems as though we have a stronger scientific aim maybe..

Sharkn20 02-17-2015 05:30 PM

What is the max number of an skill to start with?? Newbie question :)

I was a profesional gamer who spent all the time developing my skills! And then I decided to apply to go to Mars

I'd PM that to EF since we aren't supposed to discuss skill values publicly - and this isn't a traditional werewolf game so that's not a newbie question at all. ;)

saldana 02-17-2015 05:32 PM

I have karate class tonight, so i will be out for a while

SharkN20, can you explain a little bit more what you are offering to us as the lead scientist...i apologize but i didnt really get what you were saying your role/ability is

gonna put my votes out, subject to change if Danny arrives or Shark can shed a little clarity for us

scientist - narcizo
doctor - autumn
sheriff - thomkal
engineer - saldana
leader - suicane
action - biodome

The Jackal 02-17-2015 05:32 PM

Can someone re-post the leader candidates and backgrounds if they have a chance?

timmae 02-17-2015 05:33 PM

Wondering about how close this is to the norm also as I myself am a newb. Counting on the WW vets to set me straight as I venture off path! Lol..
