SpaceX launch

If the weather holds, today will be the first commercial launch of humans into space. The astronauts are on their way to the launch vehicle.

Thunderstorms in the area. May or may not happen. Not sure what the protocol will be.

Do you know if anyone is carrying it or just the NASA live feed?

kingfc22 05-27-2020 02:21 PM

Discovery channel has it.

spleen1015 05-27-2020 02:37 PM

I've been watching the SpaceX Youtube live feed and it has been a pretty good listen. They've been talking about the advances in tech since the shuttle program, etc. Might not hear much of that at this point though.

cartman 05-27-2020 02:56 PM

Looks like the weather might break in time. Just under 40 minutes to go.

Neon_Chaos 05-27-2020 03:17 PM

Looks like a launch abort due to weather.

sterlingice 05-27-2020 03:17 PM

Unfortunately, weather looks like it's not going to cooperate today

tarcone 05-30-2020 02:30 PM

Shit, the world is flat. ;)

tarcone 05-30-2020 02:31 PM

TO THE MOON AND BEYOND!!

tarcone 05-30-2020 02:33 PM

I keep thinking of strange brew when they say Bob and Doug.

1st stage lands successfully. Wow.

kingfc22 05-30-2020 02:36 PM

Incredible

Neon_Chaos 05-30-2020 02:37 PM

Oh man, this has been great. 2020 has been quite shitty. I certainly needed that. I'm sure a lot of people did.

sterlingice 05-30-2020 02:39 PM

So they get to land about 19 hours from now. About 9ish tomorrow morning?

tarcone 05-30-2020 03:09 PM

That was awesome. I cannot wit until we go to the moon. Imagine the boost to everyone when man steps on the moon again.

I think it will be better than 1969.

Edward64 05-30-2020 04:25 PM

Darn, missed it because I was weeding.

EagleFan 05-30-2020 11:08 PM

Sometimes when I start to think this stuff is 'routine', i open up Kerbal Space Program and realize i can't even do this stuff in a video game.
