There are an amazing 5 teams left with perfect records (Pitt, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech and Washington State). It's even more unbelievable when you see that only 4 teams finished with just one loss.

So it really comes down to who is going to get screwed- and this year there will be three who think they did.

'My' Board Problem

I say 'my' because noone else has asked about it recently.

I am having trouble with slow loading like many had weeks ago. While trying to update my dynasty just now, I got the following for time needed to complete a post:
  • 1:02
  • 1:26
  • 2:05
  • 1:19
  • 1:52
  • 1:59
  • 2:52
  • 1:34
  • 1:20
This is just the time from when I hit 'submit' to the time it finishes posting to the thread. It doesn't include the time I would wait after hitting 'make new post' while I wait for that to come up- because I hit stop after I get to where I can put in the contents.

Anyway, if noone is having trouble, can anyone suggest what I can check to see if something is screwed somewhere? (p.s.- other sites work fine. I tried msn, enfl site, ebert/roeper, and so on. All have load times of 1 second or less for each page)

Thanks.

(Thanks, too, for any and all smart-ass posts and comments that may be put in here. I'm sure they are just meant to cheer me up, not to be an asshat, or because you feel the need to post in every thread, no matter the nature of said thread.)
Apologies, but this is why I do not update more often at this time. It is a huge pain in the ass.

I get problems loading as well from time to time for no reason.

timmynausea 08-01-2005 05:29 PM

I've not had any problems, but it really sucks that you do cause this is probably my favorite dynasty to follow. Hopefully you can get it figured out.

JeeberD 08-01-2005 06:05 PM

No problems for me, TA. Hopefully you can get it figured out soon...

Everything's coming up Millhouse!

2011 Major Bowl Tier: Trojanss (11-1)

2011 Gator Bowl

Jacksonville, Florida

USC
33

Nebraska
19

Kyle Kappe, WR

David Gonzalez, ILB

Nebraska stayed in the game for the most part, totaling 339 yards on offense while giving the Trojans 391. The 'Huskers threw 3 INTs. The deciding factor was red zone offense, however, as Nebraska made only one visit for 7 points while the Trojans made it into the zone 4 times and scored 24 points.

Kappe's Stats:
6 Receptions
65 Yards
0 TDs
0 Stokes

Gonzalez' Stats:

2011 Rose Bowl

Pasadena, California

Michigan
33
2 OT
Utah
30

Colton Mayes, RB

Danny Wilson, DE

The Wolverines dominated for the most part, but 4 INTs and 2 lost fumbles kept the Utes in the game and Michigan had to kick a 37 yard FG with 42 seconds left to send it into overtime. In the 1st OT, both scored a TD, Michigan in 4 playes and Utah in 2. In the 2nd OT, the Utes ran the ball three times (??) then kicked a FG. Michigan then scored the winner with an 8 yard TD pass on their 4th play to win.

2011 Major Bowl Tier: Tigers (10-2)

2011 Cotton Bowl

Dallas, Texas

Clemson
32

Texas Tech
7

Jay Upstate, DT

This game was even more lopsided than the score indicates. The Tigers held Texas Tech to 8 FDs and 98 total yards, with (-4) in the running game. The Red Raiders threw a couple of picks and were able to convert just 2 of 14 third down opportunities as Clemson ended the year on a 7 game winning streak.

Upstate's Stats:
0 Tackles
0 Assists
0 Hurry
0 Stokes

2011 Major Bowl Tier: Yellow Jackets (9-3)

2011 Capital One Bowl

Orlando, Florida

Purdue
29
4 OT
Georgia Tech
23

Brian Butts, QB

Only 3 yards total offense separated the two teams, so OT seemed fitting- 4 times over. Both teams scored 7 in the first OT in 4 plays and each failed in the 2nd OT, with Tech missing a 'gimme' 25 yard FG that would have won the game. The 3rd OT was again a TD each, but in the 4th extra period, Purdue scored in 3 playes but Tech ran the ball three times for 5 yards, then gave a sack to end their hopes.

Butts' Stats:
Pass: 14 of 21 for 134 Yards, 1 TDs, 0 INT
Rush: 4- (-7)- 1 TD
4 Stokes

2011 Sugar Bowl

New Orleans, Louisiana

Penn State
28

Texas
10

Benton Gale, CB
James Clark, DT
Jesse Ewiak, RB

Penn State RB Jesse Ewiak was named PotG, but the real story was the Nittany Lion defense and the special ability of the Longhorns to shoot themselves in the foot. Texas had only 13 FDs on the day while contributing 3 turnovers and committing 14 penalties- more than their first down total.

Ewiak's Stats:
Rush: 30 carries- 93 yards- 2 TD
Rec: 6 catches- 56 yards- 0 TD
15 Stokes

Gale's Stats:

Well if we had our starting QB I'm sure that things would have been different...
