ad problem!
help! My page is swallowed up by ads!
Usually they are little bitty things but now I have 60% of my page voered in the Chicago Championship Series purple ad. WTF with these? |
which skin are you using? I think the yellow skin had ad issues

yes yellow skin...and i can't change it because the ad covers up that WHOLE PART of the screen :( (help me) |
Scrolling down to the lower left corner, there's not a style chooser?
|
Same here. I can't change the skin because the ad is covering up the option.
I can barely click on the reply button to post this. |
If you go into the user CP I think you can change skin in there.
|
I can get into User CP but when I scroll all the way down the ad still covers up the part to change the skin.
|
It's not in the Control Panel, it's changeable on the bottom of any screen. Last week I've managed to say goodbye to the yellow theme there, switching to Sideline Green.
In "Yellow" it's the first red bar from the bottom of the screen. (Same applies to "FOWL Style"). |

I was able to switch skins on my IPad so I’m all good now
|
I'm on phone and managed to change it. Yay. This green is ugh.
|
I use "Front Office Football vBulletin 3 style" Simple blue/white
|
I'll say it again: Firefox + uBlock Origin = no ads. Problem solved.
|
I use Chrome + uBlock Origin, but yeah. After all the popup/popunder overlay ads, my default is NO ADS. EVER.
Some sites, that are good I whitelist but otherwise, fuck off with ads. |

I always assume that users fighting ads are doing so on mobile. Cause there isn't a reliable free blocker for mobile ... right? |
mostly so Google and Apple don't lose their sweet sweet know everything about our users so we can sell you crap , yup./

I’m using an iPhone with Firefox and the yellow skin right now, and there is nary an ad. The mobile version doesn't allow add-ons, but for whatever reason, I still don't see ads on FOFC on my phone. You can use add-ons with Android phones though: Find and install Add-ons on Firefox for Android | Firefox for Android Help |
You could also try the Firefox Focus mobile phone browser, which blocks all ads and tracking. It only allows one tab (it's "focused"), but you could set it up for use only with FOFC if it's the only site you are having problems with. DuckDuckGo is another option.
