Ugh... I really liked Fields and with the right fit thought he could be amongst the best QB's this year. I just don't trust this not to be a scenario where the Bears suck this year, coaching staff gets fired, Fields has to deal with a new staff in his second year and it just sets any hope for his career back.

The thing is I don't think Smith is going to be a great WR, and the Giants signed Golloday so they don't need a WR. The Eagles taking him I think helps the Giants in the long run.

I saw Fields as the 2nd best qb in the draft and closer to Lawrence than Wilson so, based on that, I love the pick. However, this is the Bears and them doing what I feel is the right thing makes me feel this is the wrong thing.
