Home from work, catching up

A lot of votes, but very little talk. I guess that's to be expected day 1 with little to go on.

Out of the three candidates, I will not be voting Hoops. While he very well could be a wolf, the %'s are that he's a villager and with little to go on, I don't feel like potentially doing the wolves job for them.

Looks like three no votes so far. Darth, J23 and I.

I dunno hoops - figured I'd throw a D1 vote on you based on gut I guess...but the %'s are that you're a useful villager, so maybe that's not the best play ever. I also think you've been getting lynched early lately and that's unfortunate.

But it did get people talking and putting up other candidates...

Looks like a definite run off between EF and Autumn. Probably too late to get a third candidate involved (as I said, Im not voting Hoops). Out of the two choices, I feel more comfortable lynching EagleFan at this point.

Since it became Hoops and Danny tied with two each in the lead there's been two votes for me and two votes for EagleFan. That's enough on day one to make me switch to one of them I think.

oops ignore that for now, I missed a whole page since I last refreshsed.

I find this sequense interesting. DT unvotes Hoops to drop him down to 2 votes, then 10 minutes later Danny says it is a definite run off between EF and Autumn, even though Hoops is only one back. I realize Danny said he won't vote Hoops, but interesting that he is trying to pass it off like Hoops isn't a candidate.

Well, I guess all I had to do was change my numbers - 4 votes for EF, 3 for me since it became 2-2 Hoops, Danny.

While I can understand not wanting a runoff between two of our best villagers day one, you also have to wonder if there isn't more behind this change of village heart.

Unlike Danny I don't think it's too late for another candidate, we still have two hours to go. So I'm switching to him just out of the off chance that people were moving from him for a reason.

Ah, I read Jackal's previous post about being back at 6 and I thought that was the deadline. With two hours, we do still have time for another candidate. Though I would prefer that candidate was not me :p

I was actually considering dropping a vote on J23 and putting him as the third candidate.

Nothing personal Danny just want to see what kind of action we get late in the day here with three potential candidates.

Somewhat jeff-usually we make sure there's not a runaway vote on day 1-keep it close between two or three people so we can use that later on when we know more about the people being voted on.

Day 1 is pretty much a crapshoot to start...but it can be pretty useful in the long run. Hopefully J23 checks in and we can tighten up a few of those straggler votes.

EF, you've got me on J23 still as well as Danny.

EF, your voting history suggests you really want either Hoopsguy or Danny to bite it, just so you know.

Now for some thoughts, in case I am done tonight.

I know that I am not a wolf. So therefore this is what I have deduced so far (speculation only).

hoops leans towards good or cultist in my eyes. I can't see a wolf making a vote on me like that.

I am seeing some odd Lathum/Danny connection. He uses the pregame comment as justification (references it) but then seems to jump off when Danny got other action and jumped on the person that started that action.

On the bright side there has been movement today which may help find us a wolf.

At least lynching me may help you learn something and won't kill off a role. I'm okay with sacrificing myself for the team if need be. (not an endorsement for getting lynched though ;) ) Obviously my first choice would be that we lynch a wolf.

Can you explain what about Hoops' vote makes you feel good about him?

Not really. I voted hoops out of perceived self defense. Reading quickly and seeing back to back posts with a vote for me (before reading and seeing that they were both hoops' posts). At that point I waited it out a bit to see what else would happen. Danny/Lathum intrigues me at this point.

I have no feel for you one way or the other yet but finding out about Danny may tell me a little more about a few others.


With that said, I always think that I see more on day one than I actually do.

To the best of my memory it has been rare for wolves to be the first to "stir the pot" in the day one voting lately. A wolf would know that I am good and that I tend to be a lightning rod so why bother even trying to stand out; instead wait for someone else to make the case against me and then join in.

Looks like the Flyers are starting their post all-star game slump...

Hopefully it only lasts 2 periods...

Honestly, none of the three leading candidates feels uber-wolfy to me at the moment. I'm glad EF is now discussing his rationale rather than just posting votes ... that kind of thing tends to happen when naturally talkative players pick up some votes.

I'm willing to move the vote, but I need some kind of a reason to do it and that can be hard to come by on Day 1.

Hopefully back for the deadline push after I've got my daughter in bed.

I have no justification for my vote, although it is the one that CR jumped on to start the run on Autumn, so that could be something to keep an eye on.
