Vegas is 2 back of Cleveland for the AL Wild Card. Rio Grande is 3.5 back.
NL race has been set all year for the most part, barring a miracle by Lake Tahoe or Winnemucca to catch the top 3 over there. |
9/14
The only reason suspense left is for the AL Wild Card. Rio Grande 85-73 Las Vegas 85-73 Cleveland 85-73 |
9/14
Cleveland 2, Worcester 1 (12 innings) Rio Grande 6, Grand Rapids 2 Las Vegas 11, Portland 3 |
9/15
Worcester 2, Cleveland 1 Las Vegas 6, Rio Grande 3 |
9/16
Worcester 5, Cleveland 1 Las Vegas 3, Rio Grande 1 |
That win puts Vegas over the top
|
Grand Rapids and Vegas tied for the AL Stars Division title. All a tiebreaker game will do (The game forces us to do it anyway) is determine home field.
|
Grand Rapids 3, Las Vegas 0
Grand Rapids wins the division. |

Remember for this year only, we bypassed the NL Salavisa champ in favor of the 3rd best team in that league.
So it'll be Vegas v. Grand Rapids in the AL and Brooklyn v. Washington in the NL with Gettysburg and Memphis getting the byes. |
File is up. Tomorrow is the playoffs.
|
Wow...did not expect this team to make the playoffs.
|
Grabbing a bite to eat. then we'll get this show on the road.
|
ok

So we get a rematch of the '70 Series that Memphis won. A Series win would put Memphis tied with Winnemucca for tops all-time with 5. Gettysburg's win would put them tied for second all-time with Memphis at 4.

After being denied their 4th title by Memphis three seasons ago, the Gomers claim their 4th championship in their triumph in Sunset Series XXXVI.

AL MVP: Tom Koons, Memphis
NL MVP: Jaime Daughtry, Winnemucca AL POY: Dave Seitz, Grand Rapids NL POY: Tristan Converse, Gettysburg AL ROY: Franklin Ramirez, Chicago NL ROY: Javeed Matta, Washington |
Despite nabbing the 1st pick in the lottery, I need to re-run the lottery because I forgot to put Washington in it.
|
Actually screw the lottery this year. Just go on straight '36 record:
1. San Diego 2. Cuyahoga 3. New York 4. Chicago 5. Carolina 6. Cleveland 7. Las Vegas 8. Worcester 9. Winnemucca 10. Grand Rapids 11. Lake Tahoe 12. Washington 13. Wyoming 14. Brooklyn 15. Memphis 16. Gettysburg 17. Los Angeles 18. Rio Grande |
No picks dealt.

Feels pretty good to go out on top. We'll bow out for a while. Maybe finally give Claphamsa a chance to win a division  . Give me a shout out in a few seasons when you need another owner and the rule book is a little less volatile. Peace homies. :D |
Pike is taking over Gettysburg, but the franchise will be retired and he's get an expansion team stocked with those players.
|
Are we pushing forward with this file, or is something else going to come?

My immediate thought is status quo for right now with the OOTP13 league. At least for now. I will probably go ahead and get a smaller OOTP14 league together that anyone who owns it can join (if they want) and see how that evolves for us. |
