Really glad to see the turnout including a couple I haven't seen for a while.

What, 16-month breaks aren't normal?

You should be able to say the same thing after each of my votes this game, I expect.

I'm pretty lousy at playing inactive werewolf, but this looks like it could be a fun game so I'll try to pull my weight.

Edit - I'm just here for the ketchup porn.

Yeah buddy...

Telle 08-08-2011 02:07 PM

I'll play.

Passacaglia 08-08-2011 02:09 PM

What's the Mountain deadline? I'll play, as long as it's anything other than 8 PM.

Just kidding, it's going to be a busy couple weeks for me (including being out of town for a 4-day weekend), so I'm out. Sucks that I'm going to miss the ketchup porn. I told JAG that I would be an alternate, but after seeing that picture, the idea of sloppy seconds really doesn't thrill me.

JAG 08-08-2011 02:54 PM

Minor rule update to convey what I meant, not what I had written and a small section regarding resolution of orders:

Quote:

Conditional Orders: I will accept conditional orders. The latest submitted orders are the ones I will process for you.

Processing of Orders: In the event that multiple orders somehow conflict, the orders I receive earliest will take precedence (for example, someone who submits their final orders at 1pm vs. 4pm). The lynch is always the first action to be processed, the night kill is always the final action to be processed

EagleFan 08-08-2011 03:07 PM

Don't those two things conflict?

Or (thought of this just before I hit reply)...

To use my last game as an example. If DPR were to scan the night kill target you would process those night actions in the order they came in. If the DPR scan was first it would carry out first and then the NK would. If the NK cam in first it would happen and DPR would have been SOL?

Autumn 08-08-2011 03:13 PM

Look at these numbers! I'm going to conservatively estimate 16 wolves in this game, or 15 and a sorceror.

The night kill will always be processed last (other than potential fallout from it, like items getting randomly distributed as a result). The order will go:

1. Player with most votes will be lynched
2. Player actions in the order in which I receive them (earlier processed first)
3. Night kill
4. Any fallout from NK.

hi heinz

JAG 08-08-2011 06:12 PM

If the kids play nicely, I will try to get roles out a little earlier than I mentioned this evening.

JAG 08-08-2011 07:24 PM

Roles have been sent out (please let me know if you did not receive a role PM).

The game has begun. Day 1 deadline is Tuesday at 10pm EST. Good luck everyone!

Autumn 08-08-2011 07:40 PM

First.

I am rather bummed, I wanted an awesome role!

That is so bush league. You know he isn't around this time of night to be able to defend himself. What if he has a major role? C'mon, you are better than that.

Oh wait, he has 23.5 hours to show up. Carry on.

Would it have been funnier if I had used the edit option?

EagleFan 08-08-2011 09:46 PM

Yes

Barkeep49 08-08-2011 10:27 PM

I wanted to be the first person to edit a post so I was going to vote Autumn for beating me to it. But since EagleFan beat me to voting for autumn and I don't want to be the first person to vote twice on someone

Vote Eaglefan

Checking in before I hop off for bed. Will be around mid-dayish tomorrow.

hoopsguy 08-08-2011 11:10 PM

Off-topic: I'm reading the "Song of Ice and Fire" series right now and came across a quote that seemed appropriate for our little forum.

"Always keep your foes confused. If they are never certain who you are or what you want, they cannot know what you are like to do next. Sometimes the best way to baffle them is to make moves that have no purpose, or even seem to work against you. Rember that when you come to play the game.

What ... what game?

The only game. The game of werewolf."

OK, I edited one word from the original text. And that is as close to editing as I plan to get this game. You guys can all have your fancy edit button this game, I'll be playing old school.

Danny 08-08-2011 11:25 PM

Real nice signup list for this one. I need to read the rules in more detail, but usually in a 21 player game there are 5 wolves.

Danny 08-08-2011 11:29 PM

Took one post for an edit. I'm watching you Autumn!

ntndeacon 08-08-2011 11:30 PM

Danny is being awful quiet, less than half the posts I have is suspicious.

Vote Danny

ntndeacon 08-08-2011 11:32 PM

Down with Quiet Norsemen

Danny 08-08-2011 11:34 PM

It's ok, I will have 100 posts before the rise of the sun tomorrow. Is Crimson playing? That makes it easier to try and out do him.

Danny 08-08-2011 11:34 PM

And I fully plan to never use the edit button and only make new posts each time I want to add something.

Danny 08-08-2011 11:34 PM

Even a typo deserves a new posts explaining it.

probably so, but it is such a rarety to get to edit, that at least on day one we will have a few edited posts for the Valhalla of it.

Being away for 2 years will not save him from THE WRATH OF NARK! Revenge is a dish best served.

Narcizo 08-09-2011 01:21 AM

Seriously we all have to pick up our post-boosting games with Crimson not in the game.

Narcizo 08-09-2011 01:28 AM

Not knowing what powers the roles have makes it difficult to post-boost, errrr, I mean analyze possible tactics and try to pin down how many wolves there are. So, that's not very good then.

Narcizo 08-09-2011 01:30 AM

OK Final offer

Unvote Heinz

I don't think he's had any day one votes since I came back which is just silly, given the danger he poses. And I think I've gone through all the people who don't post much recently.

This is a good opportunity to remind folks not to edit any posts with a vote in them. This is the only vote in an edited post I will accept.

Chubby 08-09-2011 04:11 AM

checking in before heading to work.

vanilla villager, will decide where to throw my day 1 vote when I get home from work.

hoopsguy 08-09-2011 06:03 AM

Two comments:

1.) I'm just a vanilla villager, and I will have limited time this game. If there comes a point, either today or later in the week, where a decision needs to be made to try and avoid hitting a role then go ahead and turn the votes towards me. It will minimize any negative impact on the realm.

2.) I'm not sure I'll be around tonight so I need to get a vote in. This one is driven by the free agency period in the NFL.

VOTE EAGLEFAN

jeheinz72 08-09-2011 06:35 AM

Checking in, just a villager. And here I had been hoping that ye gods of random would shine upon me something fun. This sucks, I'm a horrible vanilla villager.

No vote yet as I'll be around and reading all day.

Oh and Hi Mau, and Hi Lathum (thanks for the vote, someone had to re-pop the cherry I reckon)

No, of course not. That was over three years ago - that would be sad and pathetic and ....

you utter, utter, utter, UTTER bost ....
