Possible spoiler regarding HIMYM

Spoiler

I'm pretty ok with reading spoilers, but, Racer, check this:

Spoiler

MrBug708 09-10-2010 04:50 PM

Pretty sure most people are aware that the show won't last for too much longer without some sort of interaction with the mother

Fixed.

DaddyTorgo 09-10-2010 08:10 PM

Yeah - I think saying "the mother might have been cast and is going to be in the premiere in some way" isn't really a spoiler.

knowing the way these writers have dicked around with this it'll be a party at rachel bilson's apartment or something and there will be 5-10 girls in a group scene and one of them will be the mother or some bullshit. we probably won't even figure out which one it is.

Good Idea to post it again after everyone had hid it in spoilers though.

DaddyTorgo 09-10-2010 10:00 PM

lol - it's not really a spoiler. it's not like we posted who the actress is, because we don't even know yet.

ISiddiqui 09-11-2010 12:00 AM

True dat. It's like saying the woman in the yellow umbrella is the mother!! ;)

except that for 3 seasons, if not 5, you wondered whether she would show up. Last season I thought they should have done it, but she didn't. Having cast someone makes it definite.

Ohwell, whatever. I'm arguing for other people, not for me. My wife had already sent me the info. :)

DaddyTorgo 09-12-2010 11:08 AM

But we don't know/haven't posted who the woman is.

And like I said - I bet you it'll be something where Rachel Bilson has like 3-4 girls with her who could possibly be the mother, just so the writers can continue to fuck with us.

The show could end without ever telling us who it is. It could go 15 seasons before revealing who it is. Saying the mother was cast is a spoiler. That's all there is to it.

I like Arch Light...whatever it is...they make great t-shirts.....

DaddyTorgo 09-20-2010 08:34 PM

What an irritating little tease at the beginning of the episode...lol

This is very true (and coming from someone who has never really found her attractive like...at all).

Nice tease with the lesbians too.

I felt sorry for poor Marshall. Holding out that long and having to see those two pop up and say hello. Definitely looked nice.

Didn't care much for Robin though, even in the sundress.

MrBug708 09-21-2010 12:38 AM

Kind of a dull episode, except for the reaction of the lesbian kiss

Racer 09-21-2010 11:02 AM

Saw the episode this morning.

The speculation about the mother being cast turned out to be false. The girl that turned out to be a lesbian was rumored to be the mother.

PackerFanatic 09-21-2010 11:14 AM

And about the end...

CleBrownsfan 09-21-2010 11:56 AM

By the way, is it really necessary to spoiler tag speculation?

Neon_Chaos 09-22-2010 04:08 PM

When is BBT starting?

terpkristin 09-22-2010 04:27 PM

Thursday

Swaggs 09-22-2010 04:38 PM

Heh... Didn't you see the ten-billion ads for BBT moving to Thursday during Sunday Night Football the past few weeks? :)

Yeah, you'd think if NBC was showing ads for a CBS show, people would've been all over that!

scooter 09-23-2010 11:28 PM

All is right in the universe once again!

DaddyTorgo 09-23-2010 11:31 PM

My fucking DVR didn't record it. I set it last night, but for some reason it musta got screwed up or something.

So pissed off!!!

Going to have to find a method to try to watch the episode this weekend.

PraetorianX 09-24-2010 09:52 AM

I wonder how much Shamy we're going to have?

MrBug708 09-24-2010 09:54 AM

It was a solid episode last night

DaddyTorgo 09-24-2010 10:02 AM

I watched the first few minutes online and then fell asleep in front of it. aaargh

Neon_Chaos 09-24-2010 11:14 AM

"Penny, to your mind... are you a slut?"

Scarecrow 09-24-2010 05:40 PM

Man, Blossom is really kicking out the TV stars this season. First Joey Lawrence, and now Blossom herself as Amy Farrah Fowler.

Also, did Penny look 100 times better now that she's got some meat on her bones?

Yup, but be ready for a stretch of Penny-less episodes. She fell off a horse a couple of weeks ago, and she's going to be out of several episodes while she recovers.

What is Joey Lawrence on?

That sucks. I'm guessing they'll write it as her going back to Nebraska for a while or something.

Melissa and Joey on ABC Family

Melissa & Joey, a half-hour comedy with Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) and Joey Lawrence executive producing and starring, finds Hart portraying Mel, the grown-up former wild child of a political family who is now a local politician herself.

When her sister ends up in prison and her brother-in-law flees after a scandal hits, Mel must take responsibility for her teenaged niece, Lennox, and pre-adolescent nephew, Ryder. With Mel spread too thin to manage by herself, help comes in the unlikely form of Joe (Lawrence) who, desperate for a job, moves in and becomes the family’s “manny.”

Somewhere, Tony Danza is rubbing his head and thinking that this plot sounds awfully familiar.

As did I.

albionmoonlight 10-12-2010 08:28 AM

I thought that the HIMYM was a lot of fun.

Neon_Chaos 11-16-2010 10:31 AM

Two Beavers are better than one.

They´re twice the fun.

Ask anyone.

Our beavers are second to none.

Two Beavers are better than one.

GrantDawg 11-16-2010 10:44 AM

We need a second Big Bang thread. I never got into HIMYM, but the last episode of BBT caused one of the longest prolonged LOL's I have ever had.

DaddyTorgo 11-16-2010 12:31 PM

Which moment Grant?

I thought the whole TV-show thing was hilarious. I was dying!

BBT: As a Leonard/Penny-shipper I was delighted to see last episode that they were going to go back to that well it seems by acknowledging that she still loves him, and then this week with the "deception for her dad" it seems.

The tag. When Amy offers a little lesbian expermentation. Too freakin funny.

DanGarion 11-18-2010 01:29 PM

Hah, I didn't notice this in the HIMYM this week.

-- Remember back when the Slap Bet was originally made? If Robin's secret was that she was involved in porn, Barney gets to slap Marshall. So for the brief moment everyone thought that 'Space Teens' was porn, Barney took the opportunity to wind up on his slap to Marshall. Nice callback to one of the show's best episodes, and it makes me look forward to Marshall redeeming his final slap at some point before the show ends. I think I'm looking more forward to that than to seeing who the Mother is.

Poli 01-03-2011 07:37 PM

What was up with that countdown on the show tonight?
