This is the thread where wolves gloat ...

For this next game (Cronin's draft), however, I would appreciate if they don't do it in real time :) Wait until after the game to tell Poli's little sisters of the poor how comically easy it was rolling to victory.

For all subsequent games, please feel free to post ASAP when I'm a villager. K, thx.

hoopsguy 06-26-2008 03:35 PM

Ouch, bad day for Team Poli!

saldana 06-29-2008 09:10 AM

if there were a smiley of one smiley taking a dump on the other smiley's head...this is the thread for it.

hoopsguy 06-29-2008 09:32 AM

So which smiley is the wolf? Top or bottom?

Mrs. Schmidty 06-29-2008 01:58 PM

Too bad the wolves can't post in here anonomously so we can at least peak into their way of thinking! That would be a real twist to a game now wouldn't it? I wonder if Mr. Schmidty and I can work that into the game we're working on. It will be months before it's our turn, but we keep tossing around ideas.

Umm, wtf?

Danny 06-29-2008 09:09 PM

Are people not allowed to GM a game together? My fiancee's schedule hasn't allowed her to play werewolf yet, but I imagine GMing together would be a fun thing to do with your partner.

I think you misinterpreted what I meant there Render when I said "the game Mr. S and I are working on." I'm referring to the WW game we're thinking up for when my name is up on the GM list (currently I think I'm at #15). He has already told me he won't play in that game so I thought it would be cool if we co-ran it. Especially since he and I have opposite schedules. Plus we both like the idea of adding some kind of story to it.

RendeR 06-30-2008 08:28 AM

Nevermind. I just read it wrong. I thought Mrs. Schmidty was posting and say that Msr. Schmidty and I.....bleh, nothing more to see, move along =

:)

hoopsguy 06-30-2008 03:28 PM

This thread needs more posts. Just look at the score in the current game!!!

Poli 06-30-2008 03:30 PM

Dear Hoops,

You suck. Go Bruce Pearl.

Love,

Iowa

oliegirl 06-30-2008 03:33 PM

Wolves suck. But on the bright side, at least my heart rate will remain low until the next game starts :)

hoopsguy 07-02-2008 02:02 PM

Boy, I had kind of lost track of this thread for awhile ... it was something like 7th on the list of threads. Can't have that, can we?

hoopsguy 07-02-2008 02:07 PM

Cronin, just how many wolves did I get to draft again? I know the rule says 4 + cultist, but there can't have been that many, right?

I mean, it is hard to believe that we could have 12 dead villagers - including just about every role - and not a single one of my recruits identified?

I'll be very happy when they can join me with gloating in this thread. Buwahahahahahahahahahha.

hoopsguy 07-02-2008 02:10 PM

This is an open invitation for all the dead villagers to join me in rooting for the wolves to throw a perfect game.

Feel disenfranchised by the play of your fellow villagers? Jump on board here, our bandwagon is filling up quickly!

Poli 07-02-2008 02:59 PM

Lathum 07-02-2008 03:11 PM

I find myself rooting for the wolves even when I am a villager

are you sure you want that...it would diminish your place in history

KWhit 07-02-2008 06:25 PM

I am definitely rooting for the wolves to pitch the shutout.

claphamsa 07-02-2008 06:53 PM

I'm fine with the company - it is fun watching a team put together a dominating performance.

Racer 07-02-2008 07:18 PM

What is it currently, 5-4-1?

hoopsguy 07-02-2008 07:20 PM

Racer, I believe that is it.

Dead villagers definitely lead all others at this point :)

Does that mean I'm winning?

Cool!

hoopsguy 07-02-2008 07:24 PM

KWhit, I think everyone but the five remaining villagers can consider themselves winners right now if they accept my offer to join the dark side. Glad to see you are on board.

Barkeep49 07-02-2008 07:37 PM

Hoops I think the Schmidty quote is far better.

hoopsguy 07-02-2008 07:42 PM

Yeah, but this one is pretty spot-on with my feelings about the game. For some reason people don't seem to believe me when I express this thought during a game ... so I thought I would try another tack.

And I was ready to move on from the Schmidty quote, even though I enjoyed it.

I'm in I think that would be pretty impressive at this point

hoopsguy 07-03-2008 02:21 PM

Seriously, will the wolves please come take a bow in this thread now that they are done owning the village?

Poli 07-03-2008 02:36 PM

I wanted to trade teams after the first couple of days. :)

claphamsa 07-03-2008 02:58 PM

grrrr

Mrs. Schmidty 07-03-2008 10:46 PM

Let's save mccollins and Danny another day...Schmidty put a vote on LSG, going to try and swing it! haha

Neener neener neener! :D

Yeah, it was my fault, really, we went for the win, instead of the shutout. Boo me.

I could have voted Schmidty or elsewhere than Danny and maybe put up a convincing enough argument to get a non-wolf on there, where we as wolves could swing things, but I played it cautious, deciding to go for the straight win in front of us (at least with respect to the decisions I was making, of course--I almost wanted Danny and mccollins and Mrs. Schmidty to go the other way, in spite of me).

Still, very strong game for us.

hoopsguy 06-01-2009 11:10 PM

Guess the draft one was not a shutout after all - still, it seems like a good time to revive this thread :)

dubb93 06-01-2009 11:13 PM

This thread should have been around when werewolf went hollywood.

dubb93 06-01-2009 11:16 PM

DOLA: The first HP game was great moment in the history of wolfdom. Still my favorite game to this day.

hoopsguy 06-01-2009 11:17 PM

Yep, that game turned on a dime.

Saldana's dead villager streak (as moderator) was one amazing WW anomaly.

One of the biggest games ever ran here and the first two days were both wolf lynches. For something like the next two weeks we rattled off villager death after villager death with both Poli and I solidly in the CoT. Was an amazing feat if I might say so, especially for a game of 30ish players.

still is...i have never run a 3rd game...HP and Star Wars were my only ones, so it is still at 37 straight deaths without a wolf.

I could be wrong on this but I seem to recall that I started off that streak thanks to Neon Chaos railroading me as a lynch vote and everyone listening to him instead of me. :(
