Well we also supposedly have a dinosaur and a hydra.. so I'd say we have quite a mix.
|
Oh, and an alchemist.
|
Quote:
Right, I'm not saying we don;t have a mix, just the super-hero contingent might be one or two players, or it might be a whole band, and if so, I'd like to know that. |
There are other velociraptors too. I know who they are, but can't PM with them until we meet in the maze.
|
Quote:
That's cool. From the rules, it seems like they would have to be good, right? I think we can get a little COT going with them at some point (not necessarily now). |
I have had no experience in the maze. I think it's weird people are voting from me, when I've soft revealed more information than just about anyone in the game.
|
BK tyrinth wolf!
is voting for a good guy you should vote for him |

My PM from Jackal didn't say what happens when a non-raptor comes across me in the maze. I'm assuming I'm good since Lathum didn't die a painful death when we ran into each other. Once all the raptors find each other we can travel together and communicate. |

Phoenix like the creature, not like from X-Men, a fair question. |

I don't really want to start a trend with this, let's just see what happens. |

Well, I'll vote at 6:30 and let it be then. You are the one who has to keep track. ;) |
By the way I've just decided to cancel the movement phase tomorrow at 3. Your moves for 10 tonight will be processed tomorrow morning/afternoon when I get back, and then there'll be a lynch and move at 10.
|
do we know what the weekend schedule is?
|
Quote:
And why do you think that? |
you keep attacking
anyone who is named as a candidate at all you want to lynch anyone for any reason at all even no evidence |
Quote:
Darn right. Everyone keeps assuming that this game is going to be a happy little adventure to find the center, and occasionally the wolves will off people, but everything will be okay. That's not how this game works, unless this game is some freaky variant in the range of Survivor. If that's the case, then blame me later :P But there are two ways to wind wolves in these games. One is via roles - seers, witnesses, sometimes BGs. This is always a risky approach, because those people can die, or in the case of this game be severely limited by the nature of the maze. The other is to see how people act during votes. And your darn right I'm gonna try to get someone lynched - at this point, I don't really care who. Go ahead and lynch me, even, but at least I'm trying to do something. This isn't the first time I've been rah-rah lynch, either - with the very narrow exception of Day 1 in Spawn I think it should be all lynches, all the time, because that's how you figure out who is on your side. Having wolves in the maze isn't going to make it easier to get to the center, and I have confidence in our abilities to make progress by breaking some eggs early - not that we're particularly early anymore. The worst case we could find ourselves in is to realize we're buried in a hole two days from now and be right back where we are right now. I think we're much better off lynching a couple of people now, figuring out what's going on, and then having the capacity to stop later if need be, as opposed to not lynching now, realizing we needed to be, and then not being able to do anything about it later. |
There's absolutely no reason we can't go lynch-no lynch instead of the opposite if it turns out some measure of no lynches is the right play. If nothing else we ought to get seven votes on someone to see if 50% will get a lynch so we can protect ourselves from wolf screwjobs later.
|
Quote:
I can keep this schedule over the weekend but it seems like most of the big games recently have had no play on weekends to accomodate people, so unless everyone is around, we'll have one long phase from Fri at 10 to Mon at 3. |
Correct me if I'm wrong:
Barkeep49 2 - Telle (851), Tyrith (896) Tyrith 1 - claphamsa (820) Abe Sargent 1 - Lathum (845) |
I think we absolutely need to at least find out what is needed vote-wise for a lynch. I'll be voting for someone.
|
Dola, no weekend play is fine for me. Summer weekends are busier than winter.
|
Ill be suffering
in ohio, pray for me to not die of bore |

someone is jelous
of my insane haiku skillz its ok RendeR |
I've been pretty strongly pro lynch, which is no doubt one of the reasons I'm receiving heat. I still like Pass, but of the three of us with a vote I have the least feel for Abe.
Vote Abe |
RendeR's just mad because you dissed Ohio. But as long as you're going to Cedar Point, you'll have fun.
|
a wedding in ohio
washington courthouse (central) with my family |
I'd flip to Abe without much hesistation.

The screech of a great bird can be heard throughout the grounds.

mcollins did you learn
anythign that may be of use to us good guys? |

Washington Courthouse is a cool city name, but if I were going to get married in Ohio, it'd have to be at Cedar Point. Unless I could get married in the middle of Ohio Stadium wearing all my Michigan gear -- that'd be cool too. |

I'm in the "lynching is a good idea" camp. I'll switch to Abe if that's where people want to go.. at this point we have so little to go on it doesn't really matter who we lynch.
|
All movements should be out. I'll be keeping up on my phone just for this evening, so bear with me.
|
What's the reasoning on Abe?
|
Quote:
Quiet, and commenting on Lathum D1, I suppose. And the fact that Lathum already put a vote on him, so we might can actually get him lynched. Getting eight votes seems to be our primary problem. |
Quote:
Well, I thought this post was when someone PM'ed (an Ancient/Wolf) Jackal to implant this inferno device inside of me (that's how he said I died): Quote:
Quote:
However, he said I was randomly selected by the Jester. The only thing I had seen in the labyrinth thus far was something cool in front of me after my last movement. Though that would be unrelated to the inferno due to the timing of the events. I'm in a different spot now. |
dola,
'cool' as in temperature - I don't know if it was 'neat-o' ;) |
Let's see....is The Jackal also The Jester? Or is The Jester one of us?

I was under the impression that the Jester is The Jackal. |

That is correct. But I didn't want to accuse our wonderful GM The Jackal of killing me  |

|
Wow...just caught up. Welcome back Mccollins. Do we think a possible conversion or too obvious? As for a vote tonight, I guess I'm starting to see Pass' line of thinking. We're racing to the middle and the more people we have attempting to get there, the better off we are as opposed to a bad lynch. I was also thinking that if we had a particularly bad day (a death in the labyrinth, minotaur gets someone, a bad lynch, and a wolf kill) that we could potentially lose four people in one day. Maybe avoiding a bad lynch isn't the end of the world. Plus, it sounds like we can clear each other by seeing each other in the maze.

*Stands in teh center of a chamber shaped like some strange creature's head, clears his throat and sings*
Puff, the magic dragon Lived by the sea, And frolicked in the autumn mist In a land called Honah Lee. A dragon lives forever But not so little boys. Painted wings and giant rings Make way for other toys. One grey night it happened, NTNdeacon came no more And Puff that mighty dragon, He ceased his fearless roar. His head was bent in sorrow, Green scales fell like rain, Puff no longer went to play Along Claphamsa lane. Without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave, So Puff that mighty dragon Sadly slipped into Tyrith's cave. Oh... Puff, the magic dragon Lived by the sea, And frolicked in the autumn mist In a land called Honah Lee. "So how was THAt? you chronically bad commedian...." |

I was thinking it was the public thing he had to do, that he mentioned in Post #948 (sorry hoops). |
Yeah but why the specific names? Bolded and everything. Is there meaning?
|
Quote:
Perhaps he's naming his foe(s)? |
Maybe he's telling us NTNdeacon is a dragon?

My hunch is that he had to choose three names, and do something with it -- maybe instert them into the lyrics of a song? And which names he chose affect what his foe is somehow? |
Alright, we have friends over on Thursday nights and I'm not sure I'll be back online before 10 pm. I'm placing my vote now even though I have a feeling enough people are going to spread the vote out or directly vote No Lynch.
Vote Abe Sargent |
This is the most surreal game I've seen since RendeR's fairy tale one. I feel like I'm playing one of those Choose Your Own Adventures.
|
"Riddle me this, Riddle me that, Who's afraid of a big white CAT?"
|
I want a lynch.
UNVOTE BARKEEP49 VOTE ABE SARGENT |
Quote:
I think when all is said and done, people will ask us, "couldn't you guys tell RendeR was going insane?" And the best answer we'll be able to come up with will be, "Well, we just thought he was acting in a strange way due to some WereWolf game mechanic." |
Heading home. I'll most likely be back sometime before deadline, but just in case, I'll get a vote in.
VOTE NO LYNCH |
vote count?
|
Vote count as of post 972:
1 - Tyrith - claphasma (820) 4 - Abe Sargent - Lathum (845), Barkeep (926), mccollins (966), Tyrith (969) 1 - Barkeep - Telle (851) 1 - No Lynch - Passacaglia (971) |
Thanks Telle.
|
For my last action I heard someone, but couldn't discern from what direction.
|
I also want to try to get a lynch tonight.
UNVOTE BARKEEP VOTE ABE SARGENT |
Fine. I understand you don;t have much to go on right now, but I've hardly been quiet (which is a subjective term) and my Day One vote was for someone who brought us to a four way tie, hardly a suspicious act. But, since you want to push.
I am a velociraptor, along with Farrah and another. |
(since I don't know what shade of green I was using/i don't feel like typing the code out everytime/ill probably be hammered at 10 and forget anyways - my posts will just be bolded tonight)
The Jester's voice invades the rustling of the wind. "Ah, hello ladies and gentle men. Tonight, we will have a SHOW." |
Oh shit.....
|
also if someone could please post a vote count around 9 or 9:30 so I don't have to backtrack too far, thatd be very helpful
|
Gone for a while, might check in sometime between 6-7 CST, may or may not be back before lynch.
|
I hate waiting.
|
Abe just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. We've got four or five of us (including myself) that have similar post numbers. It seems like we're just picking names out of the air........
On the other hand, it's not like information has been pouring forth so far either. Even though I want to find out the lynch rules I don't know that it's worth just randomly knocking someone off. This game really has me off-balance on how to play, because there's no evidence to aggressively go after anyone with. |
Quote:
Just to clarify...you mean that VOTING for Abe doesn't make a lot of sense, not that Abe himself doesn't make a lot of sense. Right? |
Quote:
I will confirm this. |
Quote:
I'll get my singles ready. |

velociraptors we are vote tyrinth i say |
I am fine with tell
since we have no powers just a new COT |
I say whoever the other raptor is should speak up. If we get two then we know abe's lying. If only one then maybe we should move off to someone else.
|
Quote:
Indeed. And that's it for the raptors. Just Claph, Abe and me. |
Quote:
When did clap say he was one?? |
Are you guys sure that all velociraptors are good?
|
Quote:
He said it here. |
Quote:
I'm sure I am. I can't speak for Abe or Clap. |
Quote:
Now there's a good question. |
If the three self-professed raptors vote together I'll go where they go. We need a good voting block to make a lynch happen tonight.
|
Quote:
Yes. Abe makes lots of sense. Usually. |
Quote:
Well, Clap is the only one who's voted, and that vote was for Tyrith. But Abe's got the most votes. And I really want to see what happens with a lynch. So now I'm torn. Vote with my fellow raptors, or vote for who has the most votes and vote for a fellow raptor? Abe, who do you plan to vote for? |
Quote:
Not at all? I mean, the fact that you guys are linked by being the same creature doesn't necessarily mean that they're also good -- is that what you're saying? |
