mccollins 08-08-2008 05:36 PM

I'm here at the cabin with shotty internet.
I've got no clue where to go with the lynch, but I hope to try to get on again before 10pm.

RendeR 08-08-2008 05:37 PM

What do you think about clap's jump to NTN?

mccollins 08-08-2008 05:39 PM

I don't know what to think about NTN in general. We jumped on him early on, but mainly just because he was quiet - no real 'game' reason.

Until later...

Today, since my powers were stripped (thanks, whoever did that), I'm moving both times.

Hey Pass,

You metnioned later that you beleive your were human but your pm didn;t specifically mention it. Since you've revealed anyway, what I would like is this.

Is there any information, any at all, from your initial pm, that you have not revealed? If so, please tell us now.

PurdueBrad 08-08-2008 05:46 PM

Does anybody have a read on KWhit, other than his been fairly incommunicado?

I've voted Pass previously and am curious about the explosion that got Mccollins as it seems like something an alchemist could 'engineer' but haven't seen any strong reason to go that route.

My read on ntn is about the same as KWhit, just not a ton there so maybe some votes those ways will generate some conversation.

My name has been lost to time. And I started with three items.

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 05:49 PM

Ok thanks, I may have something on Farrah, let me check.

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 05:50 PM

claphamsa - if you show up in a next few minutes, stay around until I check a previous post, I may need you

Passacaglia 08-08-2008 05:53 PM

Need me anymore? I have to go soon, won't be back, and want to get something out if I'm going to get lynched.

And so naturally your next question would be "well if you can't talk, how do you know which way to go?". And the answer to that is, we worked out a system where I can tell where he's thinking about going next by his posts.

And in a later post, Lathum quotes this, and does note refute it, instead saying in a cute way that he was not upset at her revealing this

I didn;t catch this at the time, which was earlier today. I just caught this.

When I revealed earlier what Velociraptors can and cannot do as their powers, I kept something in my back pocket. I thought I might need it hidden, in case the Ancients or Minotaur try to chase one of us in the maze.

Here is how a Velociraptor moves:

You choose one direction of your choice
Then you move a second time in a random direction.

So, for every move I submit, I go the way I want, and then the GM tells me what extra random direction I went.

How are Farrah and Lathum are sticking together and moving together, when I know Farrah is a Velociraptor and Lathum is not, and one of her moves must be random?

Yeah, you gave me what I needed. You are good for now. Thanks!

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 05:56 PM

Claphamsa, when you see this, can you post publicly as to whether or not there is a random element to your move?

Lathum 08-08-2008 06:01 PM

ABE-

She-Rahn informed me of this mechanic and told me as long as she was traveling with me her move wouldn't be random.

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 06:02 PM

Hm. Let me pm the Gm and see if I get the same answer then.

Lathum 08-08-2008 06:09 PM

VOTE CLAPHAMSA

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 06:12 PM

Why?

Lathum 08-08-2008 06:24 PM

dunno.

I think one of the raptors is likely bad and the haiku is annoying

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 06:37 PM

In other news, The Jackal has just verified what Lathum suggested. A Raptor just loses their second half free random movement when moving with another. No problems there.

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 06:45 PM

Here's the Tyrith vote order yesterday:

10- Tyrith - claphasma (820), Farrah (1012), Abe Sargent (1013), Telle (1014), DaddyTorgo (1029), PurdueBrad (1054), Barkeep (1056), path12 (1077), ntndeacon (1087), KWhit (1102)

I doubt there's not a wolf in there, so I suspect at least one wolf there.

Abe Sargent 08-08-2008 06:48 PM

This is a tentative vote. I want to get one out there in case I have to leave and go play Magic tonight. We need a certain number of votes to do anything, so I'm

vote ntndeacon

I have nothing against him, but he's on that list, and one of the later names, and he already has a vote. Someone give me another option and I'll be happy.

Lathum 08-08-2008 06:53 PM

I wouldnt put it past the wolves to cast a first vote on another wolf.

That would be a big play, particularly when it ends up getting one lynched though.

not really.

At the time Tyrith really hadnt had much heat and we didnt know how many votes were needed for a lynch.

I would say if there is a wolf on him it is one of the earlier votes if anything.

define early? there's the raptors and then me, and then telle - you mean after that?

PB? Path? (why is there a non-ancient whose got a separate victory condition of killing the minotaur? nobody else finds that suspicious? maybe it's just a ballsy wolf-play trying to get the 2nd half of the spear...)

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 07:12 PM

pb/path/ntn/kwhit? or one of the raptors is evil?

honestly I think we should assume that one of the wolves would have voted away from tyrith - that list would be a lot shorter:

pass (no lynch), lathum (abe)

we know tyrith was a wolf and mccollins is the phoenix (and I think we all presume the phoenix is one of us and not an ancient right?)

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 07:18 PM

triple-dola lathum just PMed me to say he saw dennis leary on nantucket today and him and the lady were going out to a bar, so i'm not expecting a response from him, but would love to discuss with others

PurdueBrad 08-08-2008 07:20 PM

Had Lathum not prefaced the game by saying he was going to stay quiet, I would have voted for him a long time ago. The fact that he said he was going to be quiet and has been, has kept me from reading him either.

Tonight feels like a no lynch night the way things are going.

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 07:23 PM

I think between lathum+pass one of them may be a wolf (unless you believe the other 2 wolves both voted for tyrith), so if we go after them we likely have a 50/50 shot (at least in my mind)

Actually, I'm with you here.

Vote Claphamsa

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 07:29 PM

I think we may have a wolf in the raptors too, but I'm not sure that's our best percentage play...i dunno

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 07:33 PM

and yes I know it's the same 50/50 shot as pass/lathum

Agreed. The style change is huge, I've wondered about it also.

path12 08-08-2008 08:07 PM

Hell, I don't know where to go with my vote. I don't like the clap vote, I think he's been fine this game and I for one find the haiku entertaining (sort of).

I think Pass is still towards the top of my list, especially when Abe started questioning him, but Abe seemed to be satisfied with his answer and then moved to Farrah, so that's a reason not to make that vote.

Abe sure seems in the middle of a lot of things. I wonder if he'd toss a fellow Ancient under the bus? That actually shouldn't be a question mark, I think we all know he would.

Anyway, he got us Tyrith so he gets some slack, it's just something in the back of my brain. So then Farrah, her story stands up.

PurdueBrad gave me the spear without question, so he doesn't get a vote from me. DaddyTorgo linked with Abe when he didn't have to, so for now he's got some trust.

I guess ntn could work, he's so hard to read when he's not around, but that's the only reason I've got. Maybe.

Lathum and KWhit both have outside things so they don't catch a vote yet.

RendeR killed a dragon. mccollins blew up.

Shit, who's left? Telle. Ah, Telle.....you could be bad. I've got no reason for it other than you and ntn being the only ones that don't have any plus mark for me yet.

And ntn has votes. So there's mine:

VOTE NTNDEACON

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 08:16 PM

that's some nice analysis actually path.

I had forgot about PB giving you the spear because I was so busy - he gets some trust from that, while you don't necessarily (as funny as that seems).

And I had glazed over abe backing off pass - it doesn't hold a huge amount of value to me (not as much as say PB passing the spear), but it is something.

My list looks like (not in order): ntn/lathum/kwhit/pass/path and then dropping down to clap/farrah (the other 2 raptors) and telle

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 08:17 PM

dola

what's the vote-count like? do we have a chance at a lynch even?

I think we're three or four votes off still, which makes me think about taking the safe way out (no lynch) than voting for someone that isn't going to defend themselves. No claph, no Telle, and no ntn=no discussion apparently.

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 08:20 PM

*nods*

well I think we've come to the realization that that may not be the worst thing ever in this game at least

That is a rare thing in this case. Although the only thing that has kept me from going no lynch is that Pass has gone that way and, well, he's towards the top of my list.

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 08:33 PM

pass has gone that way twice hasn't he?

and come out as an "alchemist" which is one of those "you have to keep me around a long time to get the benefit of me" type of roles that is a great play for a fake wolf-reveal...

Yeah, he has. From what I've picked up, he's also the person to claim a "named" role, such as alchemist as opposed to a species-type. An alchemist could make an explosion too, I think. So I'll either throw a waste vote on Pass or I guess pile on ntn.

PurdueBrad 08-08-2008 08:37 PM

Telle, I see you are here but have been very quiet. Do you have a read on anybody?

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 08:38 PM

i'd be willing to vote pass also pb, but as you've said, it's a pretty wasted vote ATM

My role is not a species, FWIW.

Nope. I'm as clueless as the rest of you. But I do think lynching is better than not lynching, so I'll go where the majority is atm.

VOTE NTNDEACON

Telle 08-08-2008 08:50 PM

Votes as of post 1296:

1 - No Lynch - Passacaglia (1238)
4 - ntndeacon - claphasma (1246), Abe Sargent (1270), path12 (1283), Telle (1296)
2 - claphasma - Lathum (1265), KWhit (1279)

DaddyTorgo 08-08-2008 08:50 PM

gah..

PurdueBrad 08-08-2008 08:51 PM

Second that gah, and a crap load of no votes as well!
