The Roster Decision Advice Thread

Thought I'd start this up.

I have a dilemma in the EBFL.

I have 3 QBs worth playing.

One is a senior. Speed is 80, THP 90, THA 88 (these seem to be the key ratings to me)

The next is a redshirt sophomore. Speed is 84, THP 85, THA 84. (i may be slightly off on his numbers)

The next is a true freshman. Speed idano, low, THP 90, THA 85

Any thoughts?

Well, what kind of offense are you running?

That's a good question.

It depends on the QB to be honest.

Last year I looked to pass a lot, but I have a pretty big downgrade at WR (from a 90, 88, and 86 to a 90 and a 81 and like 79).

I've got pretty good RBs though, so I'll probably lean on the run a bit more. I've definitely considered the option (despite the potential for cheese) with the speed guys.

In all likelihood I'm leaning towards redshirting to freshman and giving a go with one of the speedsters. But then I have to decide if I want a bit of speed in trade for some throwing ability.

I'd go with the Senior as his throwing attributes are the best and the 80 speed is as good as you need to run any type of option attack too. That saves the Soph from having great stats and going pro early. It also leaves him as a solid backup. Then red shirt the frosh. That way if you have a hard time getting a good QB in this cycle, you are setup for the nex two years. Unless the Frosh does something dumb like transfer.

I just double checked and had some numbers wrong. Seniour qb is 86/85 on his throwing numbers.

either way, I think I'm going this route. The Senior also has better "other" running numbers like carry, break tackle, etc.
