Correct, I do not see anything in the thread that I felt was a signal.

Seer info is going to be huge. If they don't end up revealing anything, it'll probably be too easy for the wolves to manipulate things. I don't get the feeling that brit was a wolf or the sorceror, so I'm still assuming we have all three left.

Sorry for jumping ... to conclusions

(just watched office space the other day)

timmae 05-06-2015 08:37 AM

Dammit grover... are you evil again this game. I was leaning good on you early but since middle of D1 you have been more and more on my radar. You have the luck of the irish or something. Are you jaked on green beers?

I promise you I am not evil or jaked on green beers.

Day 2 voting as of post 257:

Grover 2 - Autumn (240), cheekimonk(244)
mysfit 1 - timmae (231)
Shoveler 1 - The Jackal (224)

Grover 05-06-2015 09:17 AM

vote Shoveler

Shoveler 05-06-2015 09:50 AM

Alright, not much to work with here but I'll post my thoughts:

Goods:
Shoveler
Grover - His posts feel like he is playing loose but yet more directed than when he has been evil.

Neutrals:
Timmae - Posted read, feels like he's trying to solve the game.
Jackal - A bit of early strategy posts, and then some back and forth with me, dont really have a feel one way or the other right now
Cheeki - Didn't post much yesterday due to RL issues. Least neutral of my list due to the autumn comments listed below.

Evils:
Mysfit - Revenge votes CR early in the day. Is not willing to remove vote after reveal, and when she does she puts it on me to invoke a tie (prior to realizing the vote mechanics for a tie).
Autumn - Only comment that really struck me was when he tried to defend himself after brit called him and timmae out for giving the pass to cheeki. He said he had used RL issues before to explain his absense as evil, but he didn't think that an evil would use that as a reason to avoid voting another evil. I think they would use that, especially in this type of game.

Vote: Autumn

cheekimonk 05-06-2015 09:54 AM

In addition to the "red villager" post, there's this sequence separated by 2 posts from others and then 1 post:

Confident statement re: Chief and appears to have not read the rules (I know I scoured the rules my first few games and still do to not look foolish).

Wait, what? Reaffirms suspicion of Chief then flips 1 minute and 5 posts later? Yeah, a noob so I'm hesitant, but still...

unvote Grover
vote mysfit

Heh. I have purposely been trying to play every game differently to keep people on their toes.

Day 2 voting as of post 261:

mysfit 2 - timmae (231), cheekimonk (260)
Shoveler 2 - The Jackal (224), Grover (258)
Autumn 1 - Shoveler (259)
Grover 1 - Autumn (240)

mysfit 05-06-2015 10:30 AM

So, the wolves make their moves. Well, 2 of them anyway.....Shoveler and cheekimonk

vote Cheekimonk

mysfit 05-06-2015 10:32 AM

Actually let me go with the one getting votes today

unvote cheeki

vote Shoveler

Grover 05-06-2015 10:33 AM

Curious.

cheekimonk 05-06-2015 10:36 AM

Well, I feel better about my mysfit vote. More confidence and a lot for D2...especially considering I was MIA most of D1. Also, "2 of them..." How many wolves are we expecting to have w/ 9 players to start?

mysfit 05-06-2015 10:40 AM

People here wouldn't know it but I am a strong proponent for ties when in doubt. Something I had already stated but some here are rather selective in what they are reading.

Recently played a game where a wolf pulled a late game I am a seer routine. A game CR was in so yes I wasn't completely buying hisreveal.

I read the rules but I missed the tie breaker. Never playef a game that didn't allow for ties.

Pretty thin reasoning IMO to lynch me as a wolf. Well, thin or wolfish. Since I know I am a villager I will go with wolf.

There are 2.

"Evil Roles:

2 Werewolves - The werewolves know each other's identity, and may private message/chat without restriction. Each night the wolves choose one target player to kill.

Sorcerer - Each night receives a vision of a target player as 'seer' or 'not seer.' The sorcerer receives a vision on Night 0 of one randomly chosen player that is 'not seer.' Thereafter, the sorcerer chooses which player to view. The sorcerer wins if the wolves win, but counts as a villager for victory purposes. The Sorcerer does not know the wolves and the wolves do not know the Sorcerer."

Didn't you read the rules?

mysfit 05-06-2015 10:43 AM

Twits me about the rules then turns around and asks a question answered in the rules and in discussions

woof woof

timmae 05-06-2015 11:01 AM

misfit... I know your thoughts on shoveler and cheeki. Assuming there's more evil out there for whichever reason (either they are not both wolves or there's a sorc in addition) what are your reads on the rest of us? Where do you see smoke?

mysfit 05-06-2015 11:03 AM

And it was red SHIRT villager

you do know what a red shirt is?

I have not cleared anyone, you are all suspicious in my book at this point.

Cheeki
Shoveler
Jackal/Autumn/timmae
Grover

in descending order of twitching my antenna

Unless you are talking about a college player sitting out a year of eligibility then I do not. I guess I'm only here to disappoint.

mysfit 05-06-2015 11:09 AM

Noobs, especially ones with erratic styles of play like mine, are safe plays for wolves in my experience

It's a star trek reference.. the red shirt always dies on away missions or what not.

Agreed, I always like to watch who's making potentially easy votes. It's why I hate runaways.

The Jackal 05-06-2015 11:10 AM

I don't think I've heard that red shirt reference equated to VV, but I get it

mysfit 05-06-2015 11:10 AM

Star Trek security red shirts, the ultimate cannon fodder

mysfit 05-06-2015 11:12 AM

I started the red shirt ref on another board....given a multiple game tendency to lynch villagers in the first 3 days

timmae 05-06-2015 11:13 AM

Got it... Mercy me.. I've never watched star trek.

I mean, it's mathematically likely in most games, smaller ones like this being perhaps the exception. Especially in bigger games when you've got wolf teams that can manipulate votes or just watch villagers yell at each other over insignificant posts

Dont worry about it.. the original series and the spin offs should have been jettisoned into deep space. If not for the recent two movies I would consider that show a complete fail.

Um. No.

The Jackal 05-06-2015 11:16 AM

To clarify, I think the recent two movies were awesome. But don't be talking trash about Kirk and Picard.

The reasoning behind the votes, especially after day 1, was IMO pretty horrific

mysfit 05-06-2015 11:19 AM

Can we double vote Shoveler for his heresy?

When there's a bunch of VV trying to make sense of a game it can get tough. I know I've played plenty of piss poor VV games .. but if you want to come in and be another voice of reason in these games I'm all for it

Thinking you've found both wolves because they're voting you is rather unlikely. Normally I would read this as overly defensive.

They didn't both vote for me

Normally I would read that as overly sloppy with a side of deflection

mysfit 05-06-2015 11:41 AM

Shoveler
Autumn
cheeki
jackal/timmae
grover

timmae 05-06-2015 11:43 AM

Certainly seems like there are camps being set up. I need to reread wearing a few different sets of glasses. That may help me with a new set of reads.

Getting zero feedback on lynchings makes it
Rather challenging

The only tent I have is a pants tent.
