I really hate it when you've got a really nice lead on a guy (like 3x what anyone else is offering), but he wants to wait until stage 3, and then you can't take any chances so you have to overpay to try and make sure you get him. Happened to me TWICE this time around, hope it doesn't kill my cap for next year.

But Cullors looks really nice right now at 40/63, and that 40 means he can't drop TOO far barring a volatility hit.

Nice late FA for us.. We'll be in good form this season.

Pretty happy with our signings this offseason. We are still criminally light at WR, but otherwise...looking good.

I would rather overpay and get the guy I want than overpay and then get blown out of the water on day 3 by about 30 million dollars even after I increased my bid by about 10 mil. :)

Bah, you were less than 2x. I gave Cullors a 3 year / $53 mil deal, next highest was MIN at 3 year / $15 mil, for almost 4x. But like Alan, I'd rather overspend and get him than miss out on him entirely. Cap room is useless if not spent, I'll just be missing a backup or two is all.

Now he just needs to pan out...
